Lockdown specialist shields
This allows players to choose between 3 of each types of each class shield, one is the stock shield and the other two capitalize on other things. Much like in other RPGs where you can choose between similar classes that are different enough to warrant their own playstyles.

Recon Reaper shield (shield gains spikes on lower half) has sword ASI and DMG low, universal CTR low (no natural bomb CTR like stock). The Deathmark radar on the shield rotates twice as fast and Deathmark lasts longer.
(good for sword main recons)(forget bombing)
Recon Ghost shield (has wavering appearance of Black kats) gives gun ASI/CTR/DMG low and MSI low as well as 3 more HP and a shield with %50 more hp than the standard (more cloak time), it gets a universal CTR low, and no bomb specific CTR. (no footsteps shown)
(good for sneaking caps and team gun support)(no good for bombs either but the stock is)

Striker Dragonfly shield (gains 4 tiny insectoid wings on the players back that flutter from time to time) Bomb CTR VH debuff, MSI increases to low, gun ASI increases to Med, and Gun damage Low, the shield has %50 more HP than the stock (more boost time). HP decreases further by -2
(good for caps and rapid recovery)(gun and run and that is about it)
Stiker Soldier shield (looks like a battlescarred striker shield/armor... chipped and burned) has universal damage perk of High, CTR debuff at Max, shield hp only has %30-%40 of stock (less boost time). HP increases from stock by +1.
(makes player reliant on guardians rather than running to base)(no speed and requires a varied team)

Guardian Protector shield (shaped more like a plate shield than guardian but still has similar top of shield appearance) has Gun and Sword ASI and a bomb damage bebuff of low. Shield range is %10 further than stock and has %30 more HP (better to proctect allies). (CANNOT HEAL ALLIES)
(better short term team support)(no heals or damage bombs)
Guardian Medic Shield (Shaped like Heater Shield and has a large team colored cross on the from (not religious, medic cross)) gains sword ASI Med and bomb CTR Med, gains +2 HP, Shield has %30 less hp and %10 less range (allies must be close for effect). Gains 2X heal rate on allies, when allies have more than %50 hp heal power is %10 less than stock (still %180 heal rate)
(good to have after battles but not for shield support during)(full HP quick but no shield defense)
I see what you're getting at, but lockdown shields are complex enough as is. How would we choose these new shields?
Also each class is supposed to have a weakness in one weapon area. You seem to add different bonuses to some without adding a weakness (Both recon ideas), but instead just take away a bonus.
The concept is okay, but it isn't something I'd want to have to consider when coming up against an opponent. (Oh which shield do they have? What does it do again? How do I exploit this kind? How much time do I have to stall before their boost runs out?) It's something I'm sure we can all adapt to, but not something that will help newcomers leap into the game and understanding as easily.
