Just thought I'd post it here to see what you guys think before I move it to new recruits.
The first thing you're going to want is an agenda. Basically, what do you want to see happen? A good example would be "more players in the arcade" or "buff the shard bombs and plate mails". When posting, you want to consider the agenda fiercely, as all suggestions should fit and solve it. Your agenda should consist of five to fifteen items of varying degrees of value.
For instance, if someone posts a winmillion buff, that buff should also include the arcade. You then post something like-"Your idea is good... But what if the new winmillion was attainable in the arcade when wearing plate armor and provided you with a book of dark rituals if you have the pages? And allowed you to craft 38 shining crystals into radiant ones daily?" Remember, the more agenda you fill the better.
The next thing is that you're never wrong, especially if they're wrong... It's just a matter of proving it and if you're wrong then it hurts your forumosity. Further, if you don't like someone, they cannot possibly be right. If you do like them, blindly offering support is the way to go. Finally, proving that people's suggestions are bad will make you more forumawesome and should be the default behavior for strangers and as a last ditch effort, posting last will make you more correct.
But let's say you know what they are saying to be true and don't like them. The best course of action is to check if the suggestion has ever been made before. If it has, berate them. Then check their grammar and spelling. Berate them if applicable. Then check their facts. If one is wrong, berate them. If everything they wrote works, remember: derailment into obscurity is exactly the same as proving them wrong.
If the suggestion is a weapon, you can tell if it is OP first by if you want then to be wrong, and second by if it includes a status that you don't fully understand; e.g. curse. If you are planning to comment on weapon suggestions, you'll want to rely heavily on your agenda for weapons, which fixes all balance issues foreseeable in your eyes. All weapon suggestions must conform.
Speaking of which, adopting the common views, like "chaos is OP" can really help you to fit in and scare away outsiders to your philosophy. This will in turn build your reputation and lead you to greatness.
