That's not very bad at all...

except this game has content, but not new content. this isn't becoming a dressup game, it's just stale and immobile, content-wise. until there will be a game, there will be some amount of interactivity. the fact you don't enjoy it it's another point entierly.

I saw the username layout, then the writing style. Knew exactly what the thread was going to say before I finished the first line.

The game's content stretches pretty far. Randomization in a game keeps it fresh and newer, so the arcade is a great place to go to. Many players who joined after battlesprites seem to want to rush to the end of the game, however end-game isn't all that great.
The game's content is pretty vast. We have 4 randomized gates with a randomized level from a list on every floor, unless it's a boss floor. Then we have the mission set, which follows a storyline that players almost never follow along with either because they just want to hit stuff. The mission levels must be run in order to advance, and give access to an array of levels.

Basically, there is a lot of game that you seem to be ignoring when you say this is a dress-up game. There is a vast arsenal of weapons, armors, and shields to suit any and every playstyle and situation. New weapons and gear have been released alongside reoccurring events in the past year.

I've already brought this up, but I guess I'll keep bringing it up every time this happens because it's not like it's going away at any point in much the same way as these "game is dead!" type threads.

This overstated viewpoint is very likely held because SEGA hasn't been talking to us at all about the event. There is no monthly "Here are some cool pics of the update or an update, which IS coming in the future." or even just basic answers to the questions that are brought up not by various players, some forum regulars and some not.

Of course, this brings us back to the rebirth example. Did Edmund McMillen have people saying that rebirth (set to launch Nov. 4, 2014) is canceled and seriously believing/thinking it? No. People even started a rumor as a joke, but that died quickly. Why aren't people angry at him for taking over a year to produce the new content? Because he knows how to deal with social media in a positive way and is excited for his own development, something that SEGA is apparently incapable of. He also didn't have to/want to nickle and dime players with prize boxes at every turn, who originally made less than five dollars per copy of their game sold.

I still like this more than the last game I used to play.

It was very Pay to win, updates weekly with new weapons (but recycled damage tables) and story (that is poorly animated), and laggy......

@yagballs You have no skills. And apparently you didn't meet the rest of the guild. The ones that brag either get kicked out for a reason they caused, because nobody would join them In 1 lousy mission, or they leave.

I found 5 of a 1/2,100 odds item (confirmed to be so via the game masters, as I questioned the odds due to a lack of similar 1/2,100 drops), indicating that at least around 10,500 prize boxes are expected to be found. This only accounts for people that I know too.

Um. The 5 prismatic pylons that I saw in game, and confirmation from a GM that they do have a 1/2100 drop chance? I only said we should expect that many boxes to have been opened.

TF2 aka Hat simulator is a solid game, as is Spiral knights. So why is TF2 bigger?

Basically it is about the intended audience, TF2 caters to the older gamer both visually and in mechanics, Spiral knights on the other hand is visually oriented towards younger players but endgame missions are aimed more towards those with better motor functions, reaction times, forethought, etc; basically the end gameplay is aimed at older gamers. This means that few older gamers will give SK a chance and until they get to the endgame they will find it relatively easy. Young gamers that play SK will play until the monsters can't be killed very easily,(T1 mentality in Vana will get you killed by regular Slags).

Another reason is connectivity, TF2 doesn't have much lag on their servers, SK on the other hand can have debilitating lag at moments, it takes a truly patient gamer to get through these moments.

TF2 has a very balanced class system and both new and old players have a chance at killing each other, in this game the only factor is skill and team coordination. SK PVP is heavily unbalanced towards the paying player as they can get power, speed, and defense buffs that F2P players must spend a long time to grind out; this often leaves those new to PVP feeling useless and beat down and oftentimes they never return to PVP.

Geez,have you been into lockdown before? especially GvG? This is life!
It has the potential to beat a lot of known "E sport" games,like Dota and LoL.it needs more strategy,skill, and reflex,it's easy to get into yet hard to master,no piece of equipment is better than other one to the point of calling it OP,if just devs' didn't hate their own game.
If we get better lag-free servers,more players,removing pulsar line weapons and AT from LD,maybe more LD maps and modes(not denying that the current mode tests teamwork and individual's skill to the fullest),reworking defense in this game to be more balanced with sets that gives bonuses,buffing some under powered guns and swords,then I would see SK being one of the most known games worldwide,with famous teams,leagues,and international tournaments.

Truth? I don't exactly see truth. I see more of another teen who is finding somthing to complain about. What you people don't realize is that Spiral Knights is only 3 years old. If I may say, SK's weaponry is increaseing; therefore, its more like 35 swords +. If you hate the game just stop playing, no one is chaining you to your PC locked on SK. However, if that ever does happen, I might see where your coming from. In the mean time, plz stop starting these threads. They just take up space, even in the grave yard!
