It haunted me recently. Why it's called Hall of Hero when there's absolutly no personal achievement(if becoming a grinder is a achievement, it isn't). Seriously, there's no payoff(except for the tier up sometime), just exhausion and trolling(i need to get 4* stuff, but one of the orb that i need is in the reward or pass the rank). Keep the crew that sell you recipe for like an antichamber before the main fight, wich would be (the fight) designed specificly to prepare you for the true fight
Ex:
-A warden with a adapted loadout for each test
-Barbeled wire in the middle of the arena as well as a rock(not a rock block but like a "stud") that simulated barbs in GWW
-Respawning wooden crate that will reduce the space to move at the beginning to prepare you for the king cube
-Flipping gate(oh boy, will sure have fun triggering them for no reason), rocket laucher that will simulate the hated puppies
-i dont have any idea about the fouth major boss

For those who complain that "this type of Hall of hero would bring more 2*-3* noob into the vanguard tier",yes im being trolly but there're alway 5* crybaby(yes im going to the insult territory) that think they're hotstuff because they got 5* equipement, but complain that the game is "too easy" even on elite. You know that the difficulty of a game is a relation between the player and the game. I remember hearing of a guy that set the lowest score on and he said it was hard to do.

First thing i would like to tell them:I beat the hated puppies with a 2* armor set(lvl 10 cobalt set and tenth time the charm) ALONE with no difficulty and they're easy if you know that it's REQUIRE to think OUTSIDE of the box(ok i'll admit it was on normal)

Second thing: if you're hotstuff, beat the arcade+Shadow Lair with the proto stuff without dying/taking damage.Record it and show me(i cant because im stuck at T2)

Third thing:
Speed=/=Fun and i agree Long battle=/=Fun either + Being OP=/=Fun and Being UP=/= fun
Speedrunning can be fun, but it's just luck+skill+exploiting glitch(some times)

P.S: If becoming a vanguard is becoming newbiphobic, then i would rather stay stuck at 6-2
P.P.S:I adopted an "Being superior" attitude in this post so, im full, no cookie plz
P.P.P.S:The 5* crybaby DOES NOT apply to all 5*er. If you feeling targeted, then dig deeper

Do you realize how ineffective 2*-3* Gear is beyond Tier 2? And this is coming from a Tier 2 player. OOO added these restrictions to make sure noobs didn't go into places they didn't belong with crappy gear. It seems like you're only suggesting this because you don't like grinding to get 4-Star gear, which is perfectly fine, but it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

And on what you said about beating a Shadow Lair with only Proto Gear, don't impose a challenge like that on someone unless you're sure that you can complete that challenge yourself. It's a lot harder than you think it is, even to use 2* gear in the lower depths of Tier 2 is a challenge, let alone using the most basic equipment in the game in the hardest area of the game.

@Jessecho

I belive that I went too far with the suggestion/insults(mostly), but 2*-3* gear are really ineffective in t3? i never went there alone. I do hate grinding(currently grinding boss token/heat crystals and if you want radient, feel free to contact me, i dont think 5* gear would be soon for me) and i hate asking other to help me grinding(not for self-pride reason, but only higher stared player will accept and feeling like dead weight) because i get the feeling that i dont deserve the reward while in group. The reason I suggested this hall of hero, its to obtain the loot that will help me without hitting a wall that the game built to protect the newer player(sometime you need to get out of the comfort zone).Yes i agree, getting your butt kicked without warning or getting OHKO is raging for new player. If you look at dying in a video game as a punishement(i understand most of games today are punishining) rather than "i should(n't) have done that" or "ok, mayby next time", then try to change your perspective(if you didnt understand: try to see the glass half-full rather than half-empty).

For the proto stuff challenge, i came up with that while grinding. At the start, i would tried it on bosses like the snarbolax, but due to time constrinct, i didnt do it and for the shadow lair, i can't afford it.

Not really needed.

The reason you need the gear requirements for tier 3 is because tier 3 is much more brutal. Without your health boost, you'll be down in 1 to 2 hits. Without high defenses, those hits will bring you down even more. The only reason proto armor can survive a hit or two in lower depths is because of "sonic mode", i.e. hits that would otherwise down you instantly leave you at barely any health, much like the Sonic-ring system. The 3* weapons also do drastically less damage than 4* in tier 3. You know the spookat monster? By tier 3 they are very dangerous, as they spew a 3-shot attack, and don't wait around in one spot for you to attack them for more than 5 seconds. Typically they are only standing still for a moment. Gremlins also get a huge attack difference. Thwackers have an instantaneous spin attack that will take out half your health and stun you while knocking you 10 meters away. Menders can also revive downed gremlins and turn invincible for a short duration when low on health. They can also plant a healing rune that heals for ~255-355 health every second an enemy stands on it. If you can't outdamage those numbers then gremlins will be the end of you.

Oh, and all fiends just become more annoying.

Essentially, in order to be in tier 3, you need to be prepared for it. The game tells you to do this through gear, and prevents you from just waltzing through. New players would try to power through that hall of heroes and fail many times instead of level up their gear, then ragequit the game.

In the end, making the hall of heroes a brawl of some sort will not introduce players to the next tier. The right gear will. Making lower level characters access later game parts will only cause them frustration, not accomplishment.

2-3* gear aren't just

2-3* gear aren't just innefective in t3, they're pointless. To give you a hint, even with something like a 3* brandish, it'll still take almost 3 whole minutes to take down a single t3 zombie.

I remember going to t3 for the first time. Even with 4* gear, it was still crazy intense. Tier 3 is a whole new level of hard for first-timers.

The grind isn't even that bad. Try comparing SK's grind with the average fare of other MMOs. SK is pretty fast.

Also, anybody who's played Grinchlin Assault KNOWS that having 5* gear does NOT make them hotstuff.

You think taking down RT with proto gear was easy? Try doing a danger prestige mission.

The reason why hotstuff 5*

The reason why hotstuff 5* players complain about low difficulty rather than downgrading themselves is because using low level gear isn't skillful. It just takes a long time or ends up being impossible. The problem isn't just that new players would ragequit at the difficulty teir 3 has, but rather that they'd get kicked on sight if they joined a party with people who didn't want to take all day getting through their levels. On top of all that, OOO can potentially make money off of you making gear, so they won't remove the restriction anytime soon. Look at what they did to the oldschool 4* shards bomb.

There are a number of players that get in over their head and don't quit. Instead, they let someone carry then through the game all the way to the end. The hall of heroes is needed to help this situation, at least a bit.

.

The idea of having HoH be some kind of challenge is good, since there are a lot of skilled almost 4* people who could easily do T3 and at the other hand, there are also a lot of Vans who should probably go back to T1 to learn how the game works.

Another advantage is that a rank will say something about a players skill too. I have done arcade runs on elite to the core with people with 2* and 3* equipment, and at some T2 runs with Vans I almost started crying because of their fails, not only a lack of skill but also a lack of knowledge ("I know you have BTB and blitz, but that won't help you in a slime danger room").

But again: these are exceptions. With a HoH fight some people would never be able to get to a higher rank. Maybe something like allow the player to choose: you either go grinding for orbs or you beat a challenge far above your level. This way everyone can certainly progress in the missions, but skilled people would be able to not only rely on the luck you need to find orbs, but also on their own skill.

waitwaitwait hold on, I

waitwaitwait hold on, I missed something in my first read of this.

"I beat the hated puppies with a 2* armor set(lvl 10 cobalt set and tenth time the charm) ALONE with no difficulty and they're easy if you know that it's REQUIRE to think OUTSIDE of the box(ok i'll admit it was on normal)"

So you beat arguably the easiest boss in the game, on normal mode, using 2* gear instead of 3*? That makes you like, average, at best. I'd go through FSC with icebreaker and call it the "Snowball's chance in hell" for fun. Don't pretend you've got 360 noskope leet-skillz just because you're frustrated over the lack of orb drops.
