Spectator mode is where you more or less watch someone exploring the clockworks, or going on a mission.

Like, if you opened party finder, there would be an option in each box: spectate. when you press it, it gives you the list of people in the party, you click the one you wish to spectate.

Being spectated is an option. you may turn it off/on, just like inspection.

The knight being spectated has the option to block any private messages from any spectators. regular chat messages would be seen by other players spectating that party.

The purpose for this is primarily to watch people's strategies and better their own. For example. you want to use the cutter line as a weapon, but you aren't particularly good at it. So you find someone who is good at using the cutter, and spectate them while they explore, how and when to use it against a given enemy.

Of course, someone may also just feel like watching another player explore.

Feedback is appreciated

I dig it.

It'd be great as an option. You could show other players how to run shadow lairs without setting up a stream or something similar that takes up additional bandwidth.

Enabling spectators from the public, friends, and guildmates (all separate checkboxes) would be good. I might want to run a friends only party but have a public "showing".

agreed!

This has been suggested before and i am glad you suggested it again. This is something that needs to be in the game where similar to lockdown, we would be able to spectate the players as they are playing. I don;t see any way players can abuse this and it seems like a simple procedure. Well hope the devs think about adding this wonderful pass timer ability.

Since it would be an optional feature, i figure there's no reason not to put it in the game

Warning: Superiority Complex.

Just incase people are just +1'ing cos it's nice to have new stuff...

This would be really useful for guild testing and the SK Olympics (even if they are both unofficial).

Because when I'm feeling a little uninspired or aimless, I like to watch people.

....

Would be nice but think of the lag that happens when another player joins the party..... it is likely this would appear when someone joins a party's spectate.

I'm vohtarak, call me by that name

Does the game lag when people join to spectate lockdown? If it doesn't then it probably won't lag for spectating a regular run, and even if it does, its toggleable, I fully support this idea

That's entity lag.

The player is not hosting the party on their computer, so their game should not lag from a camera. It's the physical entity that spawns in that causes that lag as your computer has to render that new thing visually.
