Bombs:
1. Crawler: (extremely large range) once this bombs explosive timer ring finishes, instead of exploding it fallows the nearest enemy within the radius and explodes on touching them. it explodes after 10 seconds of crawling if it hasn't reached its target. it has a poison elemental, fire elemental, ice elemental, shadow, and a normal damage version.

2. Biohazard:(small range) after exploding it creates a yellow poison mist that if an enemy touches it they get moderate poison and anyone they touch after the mist dissipates also gets poisoned. it has bonus damage so the poison hurts the enemy.

3. Powderkeg: (medium range) when the bomb explodes it causes stun, and deals heavy damage. it looks like a powder keg (duh) with a fuse in the top. when the bomb is placed the fuse burns (it doesn't need to burn away, just spark).

4. Crag Bomb: (medium range) after exploding it drives short stone spikes out of the ground hurting enemies and throwing them into the air. they take extra damage on landing.

5. Soul Tether: (range increases with tier) once exploding it creates a ghostly tether to all enemies within its range. it deals shadow damage while the bomb is active, and prevents them from leaving the area until the bomb ends.

6. Grave Digger: (medium range) when it explodes a bunch of zombie hands reach out of the ground and scrabble around. enemies withing the area cannot move and take regular dps. it deals shadow damage. deals bonus damage to undead. anything that dies to this becomes a friendly dust zombie. you can catch yourself in this.

Swords:

1. Duel Cleavers: (cannot use shield with this Sword) they have fast attack speed alternating cleavers to swing. has a 10% chance of causeing "bleed" for 3 seconds. bleed deals damage per second, like fire.

2. Yin: "Yin" is a black katana. Yin deals normal, and Shadow damage and has a small chance of dealing bonus damage.

3. Yang: "Yang" is a white katana. Yang deals normal, and piercing damage and has a small chance of causing moderate fire.

4. Yin and Yang: if you craft Yin and Yang (the separate swords) together you get this. they can't use a shield at the same time as this. it is one weapon. they alternate attacking when swinging and have a combined fast attack speed. they still separately cause fire and bonus damage.

5. Cutlass: deals normal and shadow damage and has a small chance to "maim" (slows target and makes it take more damage). lasts for 4 seconds

6. Spine Sword: it looks like a curved spine with extra long and sharp sides of the vertebrate the crosspiece is an ever larger vertebrate. on kill you have a very small chance of "resurrecting" what you killed and it comes back as a friendly dust zombie. the sword deals small normal damage, and medium shadow damage. it is a large sword like the avenger and hurts anything in a large arc in-front of you. deals bonus damage to undead.

Guns:

1. Flintlock: deals heavy normal, and piercing damage. has to reload after every shot.

2. Seeking Rocket Launcher: it fires a slow moving rocket that tracks the target nearest the curser when the gun is fired (so you can kind of choose your target).

3. Flame thrower: it shoots 4 times a second but deals like 2 damage a second. it has medium range (about as far as the autogun can shoot). it has a small chance of causing moderate fire. you can't charge this gun, instead it just has continuous shooting. it reloads after 7 seconds of continuous shooting.

4. Soul Eater: (its an autogun) it is a small tube with a handle made out of bones. when you shoot instead of bullets it shoots dust zombie breath. it has a moderate chance of causing stun and it deals shadow damage. bonus damage against undead.

Armor:

1. Pirate suit: it's just a pirate outfit with a pegleg (or peg legs as a joke because the knights feet are already pegs) it increases sword damage and attack speed but has low defense. it has normal, and elemental defense.

2. Zombie likeness: its a leather wolver suit that looks like a dust zombie body. it has shadow, and normal defense. bonus defense against undead.

Helmet:

1. three-cornered hat and eyepatch: it's a three-cornered hat and eyepatch. it has normal, and elemental protection. it increases gun damage and reload speed but has low defense. ( https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rj... )

2. Zombie head: it looks like a dust zombie head without the eyes so you can look strait through to your knights eyes. it has shadow, and normal defense. bonus defense against undead.

Shields:

1. Buckler: it's just a Buckler. it has normal, and elemental protection. it makes your dash recharge quicker and your shield to regen quicker. it also makes the shield-bash deal a small amount of normal damage but has low defense.

2. Ribcage buckler: it is a shield made out of a ribcage that has normal, and shadow defense. bonus defense against undead.

Ummm...

it deals shadow damage. bonus damage against undead.

why.

the sword deals small normal damage, and medium shadow damage. ... deals bonus damage to undead.

stawp.

it has a moderate chance of causing stun and it deals shadow damage. bonus damage against undead.

pls.

it also makes the shield-bash deal a small amount of normal damage
Shield bash already does a small amount of normal damage.

Again, dual wielding is bad. In any form that isn't cosmetic, it is bad, especially if it takes away your shield. Lockdown games rely on you having a shield slot open (which it always is), so if you take that slot away players can't play lockdown... Or else you allow players to have shields for lockdown, in which case those weapons become way too overpowered because they're designed to not have a shield.
Dual wielding is bad for this game.

Powderkeg sounds like a big angry bomb/irontech destroyer. Not needed.

Biohazard already exists. It's a shadow-poison gun at the end of the catalyzer line. It sounds like a poison+fire mist bomb. No.

Grave Digger sounds like a graviton-styled bomb that deals damage and friendly fire. No thanks.

Spine Sword should not have a resurrecting power. Nothing should. That shouldn't be a thing. The Royal Jelly should not come back as a dust zombie, nor should a lumber.

Other things are just eh or unneeded. Crawler and Craig Bombs sound interesting, but the latter sounds too similar to a shard bomb. Cutlass wouldn't really be too useful but it might find a niche. Flamethrower sounds like fire mist bomb + gun bonuses with hilariously low damage, not really new or useful.

I will answer what you said Fangel.
1. it's supposed to be like a dead commanders sword. thats why it deals bonus to undead

2.again same reason. it's supposed to be a set.

3. same reason.

4. how should I know shield bash does damage I never notice it. it only stuns them for me.

5. WILL YOU STOP IT WITH THE STUPID ARGUMENTS IT NOT FORCING ITSSELF ON ANYONE IS IT?!? NO ONE HAS TO USE IT FOR LOCKDOWN! it's more meant for pve in the clockwork. and don't say "but you need a shield for the clockwork" ITS NOT FORCING ITSELF ON YOU IN CLOCKWORK EITHER! ITS YOUR FAULT IF YOU DON'T DO WELL WITHOUT A SHIELD!

6. I didnt even know irontech destroyer was a thing.

7. *sigh...* how many times do I have to explain this... poison does not normally spread... but this special poison does... so it's differant... so will you stop saying its the same as a poison mist bomb...

8. grave digger is also different it only stops them from moving not pulls them toward it. it also deals damage over time while they are in it instead of a final explosion.

9. I guess the resurection was a bad idea. without it the sword would still be cool.

10. the crag bomb has spikes com straight out of the ground then retract instead of shooting them everywhere. and it has a 100% chance of stun.

11. the cutlass would kinda just be decorative.

12. the flame thrower shoots extremely fast so the low damage gets dealt every time it shoots. so if it shoots fast it evens out the damage into something useful. the fast shooting was just to make not shoot little puffs of flame. instead it shoots a continuous flame.

I feel your pain Fangel

...Looks like this is gonna take a while.

Bomb
1. Crawler: much like what Fangel said, this is the only weapon actually considered usable and implementable.

2. Biohazard: assuming you change the name, it's still a bad weapon. Why? Outclassed by Obsidian Crusher amd Venom Veiler. Giving a bomb a small range and relying on enemies bumping into each other to spread status isn't very reliable at all. Also, poison is a pointless status to spread in such a manner.

3. Powderkeg: duplicate. Fangel already mentioned this.

4. Craig bomb: another duplicate.

5.Soul Tether: outclassed by vortex bombs.

6. Grave Digger: imbalanced, would trivialize the current Shivermist Buster.

Swords.
1. Dual cleavers: changing Fangel's argument a bit. The developers designed the later depths of the arcade purely around the idea of utilizing a shield. It's possible to do them without a shield of course, but it's never worth the trouble. Aside from that, this sword is outclassed by Furious Flamberge and Fang of Vog as a weapon meant to spread passkve damage, and outclassed by Dread Venom Striker as a fast, multi hit sword.

2. Yin: duplicate of Obsidian Edge

3. Yang: duplicate of Furious Flamberge

Both: too situational to have a combo with conflicting damage types. Not worth the loss of a shield.

5. Basically a shadow damage Fearless Rigadoon. Please stop with all these new status ideas, especially when most of them are pointless. This idea is basically stun + poison.

6. Spine Sword: ...assuming the developers take the time to implement a code for this, it's still pointless. AI allies, in the later part of the game, do a better job of getting you killed rather than actually helping. Also, shadow damage and undead bonus? Outclassed by Cold Iron Vanquisher.

Guns
1. Flintlock: split damage is pointless, as OOO fudged up on eneny damage type resists. Even with split normal/pierce, you'd only be hitting an extra 5-15 points of damage against resistant enemies. Also, outclassed by Callahan.

2. Seeking Rocket Launcher: outclassed by Pulsars as an AoE gun. It's too inconsistent anyway.

3. Flamethrower: first of all, Autoguns have the 3rd longest range in the game (after Catas and Pulsars). Also, as a weapon meant to deal fast continuous damage, Antiguas are already a thing. Even assuming the different mechanics (flamethrower holds rhe button, Antiguas rely on click spamming), it still needs that extra something to differentiate it. And as a weapon meant to spread status, outclassed by Pepperbox.

4. Soul Eater: any weapon that gives damage bonus against an enemy that resists it is automatically worthless. Because it's instantly outclassed by normal damage weapons with damage bonus UVs.

Armor:

1. Pirate suit: duplicate of Kat Claw

2. Zombie likeness: outclassed by Dread Skelly. In the later parts of the game, defense against damage becomes pointless. All you're gonna need to be defensive is status resist.

Helmet
1. Eyepatch: duplicate of Kat Eye

2. Zombie Head: see the argument for Zombie Likeness.

1. Buckler: pointleds, tortoshields already exist if you're trying to make a damaging shield.

2. Ribcage buckler, the design is already used by Dread Skelly shield. And though the ability might make it useful in certain situations, status resist is simply better.

Get further in the game before you start making suggestions.

I agree to that last statement.

You should definitely become more invested in this game before throwing suggestions around, especially in terms of gear. Suggesting an item when it is functionally the same as another one (and you don't at least acknowledge it in your post and argue why this new one should be implemented) sort of discredits your suggestion.

Dual wielding threads have been around since the dawn of time. There are many reasons they shouldn't exist other than cosmetic purposes. One of which is the shield argument. Why is a shield mandatory? There are so many things shields are used for! Blocking damage, blocking status, slowing your knight down, pushing enemies back (bumping), shield bashing (stun on demand), shield canceling... Then you bring into the fact that in lockdown, classes are chosen by the shield the player is wearing. This means your weapons effectively make you unable to play lockdown because of a gear choice when lockdown is all about bringing your own gear.

If you want dual wielding, make it cosmetic (like the furious fork), or make an entire weapon line that uses both hands (new animations) and a shield.

Also, typing in caps doesn't make your arguments any more valid. Please try to avoid doing so in the future, Shadow-Drake.

The reason a shadow-based sword shouldn't have an undead bonus is the fact that shadow damage does next to nothing to undead type enemies. They resist the damage type, thus all shadow damage is reduced by 80%*. Hence, adding damage bonuses on resisted weapons is useless.

Making up your own status that works the exact same as the old fire isn't something we really need. In fact, it has more or less been transferred over to shock. We don't need a two-in-one status bomb when we have statuses that do exactly those two things (poison, deal damage) already, especially in the mist-bomb format.

Flamethrower still sounds like it's supposed to be a low damage status dealer. This is the exact role mist bombs have. The idea itself is okay but implementation is not.

*I remember seeing this number or its inverse somewhere, but can't for the life of me find it on the wiki.

Some of these are ok

Crawler and spine sword sound like good ideas, but I have the opinion that the spine sword is a bit overpowered, and instead it should have a nerf to it like a damage decrease against construct or a general downgrade like slower attack speed. But not all of these are okay, (yin and yang), and you can actually play the game with no shield. Nobody here made good arguments (though fangel had better arguments than anyone here), and while some of these ideas are intuitive, that doesn't make them good ones. And some, in fact are ripoffs, or even bootleg. Biohazard, for example, is inferior to venom veiler due to it's unreliable status effect. Cutlass is effectively a flourish with shadow damage. We have enough flourishes. And the others are hardly more than unoriginal.
I have to make a note here fangel, you say shields are necessary in this game, and the OP says Yin/Yang can be fused into one weapon, right? But nobody yet specified whether or not equipping the weapon would take up all your slots, including shield slots, or whether you can switch between dual/single weapons and with dual the shield would be on your back. Consider.

Mainly this point

they can't use a shield at the same time as this.
This is what I was getting at. It's worded ambiguously enough to mean whatever you want it to mean, and I interpreted it as "cannot equip shield while this weapon is equipped"... AKA, empty shield slot. That sort of dual wielding is not good game design for this game.

I say a shield is crucial because a shield is A) advanced, and B) expected to be worn. The game expects you to, by default, have armor, a helmet, a shield, and two weapons. You only have to wear 2/5 of those, but the game is designed like so.
I'm all for new shield classes that act like weapons. I am completely against weapons that take away the ability to shield. We don't have anything else that acts like that (no such thing as one weapon taking up two weapon slots, or a shield replacing armor), so I see no design purpose to dual wielding other than aesthetics, in which case it is fine. (See: furious fork)

@Fangel

@Fangel I didn't mean you would have an empty shield slot, I just meant you can't use it while you have the twin swords out. like you can use the swords, then you get rushed. you can then pull your gun out then block. why you can't use it with those swords is because there are two of them. it would look weird holding a shield and a sword in the same hand.

Soul Eater will never happen. Nick was inspired by Phantasy Star and they have a sword called the Soul Eater, so if OOO were to make Soul Eater;
1. They would have done it while Nick was still there.
2. It would be a sword.

However, the Soul Eater from PS would be quite cool or a weapon similar (it drains your life to attack).
