Reskin the swift strike buckler like twenty times and stick that in a prize box.
Everyone uses and loves it, it doesn't cost radiant fire crystals to attain and use, it applies to all knights rather than just endgame players and the original swift strike buckler is ugly as sin on most costumes. Need I say more? Because I'm going to.
What it's gonna look like
It could look like just about anything cool and I have a ton of ideas for this-
Common: Recoloured swiftstrikes, military, divine, prismatic, heavy, maybe even add some new flavors that are just other colours.
Uncommon: Reskinned breaker shields with new emblems, and just the breaker shield model. "Modified to behave like swiftstrike".
Rare: Breaker/swiftstrike shields with effects, like the voltaic suit/celestial sabre. Just the hexagons, or something similar.
The 1%: An entirely new model or interesting image, maybe a different looking shield bracelet or a gear halo.
If you want something prize box related that'll sell like hotcakes and make players love you, well here it is.
EDIT: Meep had a good idea for this as well- make it so that when dashing the dash lines are whatever color the swiftstrike is.
If players are so inclined...
They can help out by submitting skins as well.

Well the issue is that the breaker shields look awesome but are useless, and swiftstrike is terrible looking but to awesome to use. So instead of having everyone use an ugly shield that works well or choose to be ineffective but cool, we can just combine it.
People can do whatever they want with their old shields as well.

Well it isn't ugly on its own, just with other sets. Items that have such an off shade of yellow are pretty rare.

I really love Swiftstrike and I agree it really does look ugly in ways some people can't really see, and this is really great idea since you would actually be hunting this awesome thing, although this might just be converted by OOO into the 4* and 5* versions of the Swiftstrike but still +1 or maybe +10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001

Of course there should be a pink one! I'm especially hoping for:
-Surge
-Lovely
-Hunter
-Frosty
-Hallow
-Serene
-Glacial
-Shadow
-Other prize box styles like the above, just throw them into the box.
Because right now a LOT of costumes based around those sorts of styles are lacking viable shields that match and look nice. This would make the box contain A LOT of swiftstrike bucklers at almost no cost to whomever's making this, since these styles could easily just be the same design but recoloured like twenty times. Or they could go the extra mile and make a tortodrone symbol for the serene one, a heart for the lovely one, and so on.

That's actually pretty sweet that you have an outfit that matches swiftstrike. You know I'm jealous because I made this thread lol. Yellow, especially swifstrike's colour of off-yellowish green, has never been my strong suit when it comes to costumes.

Shield bashing with any of these new swift strike bucklers makes the movement effects match your personal colour.
It doesn't have to always be sky / cobalt blue.

This is something I would definitely buy, I'm sick of that swiftstrike buckler being mismatched with nearly everything.
The shape is ugly to me, and a change of color just wouldn't cut it.
We have those holographic proto-shields that would look nice in its place, but no way to use them as a shield costume.

The color wouldn't be enough thing is completely real for a lot of people but I do like the idea of reusing the original swiftstrike art for part of this. The solution is to recolour it a ton of times AND include the holographics AND make some new skins AND use new models etc. That way every single demographics is hit at once as hard as possible. Fastlex's example shield that they made is perfect for this as well..
If this stays in the suggestions forum + receives enough support it will be read by the developers. People think they don't read things here or care, but they do on occasion come here and a thread with 500 replies is going to at least be looked into.. so if you want this to happen get people to comment on it.
SPEAKING OF FASTLEX THOUGH- could you post the actual skin (the bit you'd need to use to produce that image) here as well? Player contribution/support would be awesome.

Only if the GMs decide you should be banned for it. The rules are different for everyone, so that it can be more fair. Imagine if I had the same rules as Spiral-Spy, the lies I could spread and havoc I could wreak would be unfathomable. But yes, as a safety precaution, no one directly give evidence of you tampering with the game files. Also don't tamper with them.
The reason I wanted the skin was because others could download it and change it in some way if they desired... and then test it in Spiral Spy. I'll probably do that. Also because if the developers wanted to use it they could just grab it from the link.

Common set colors
It'd be lovely to have some colors that match common gear.
Black/Red and White/Gold with prismatic holograms would be legendary.

I really like the idea of having a circular hologram with a dot in the middle (like this letter ⊙) and no actual shield behind it. There was a shield like this when I played Runescape back in the day (and oh was it back in the day...) that looked as if it was made of glass (but had an outline!) and I thought it was the coolest thing.
But really there are a ton of cool designs you could have out there as just the hologram, including the hexagons that are already present.. the old icon for shields that was removed quite a while ago (nostalgia sells for a reason dog), the image for the swarm, most shapes.. loads of them.

i proposed to have upgradeable versions of the swiftstrike since, let's be honest, does anyone use any other shield? this could help knights finish the hall of hero missions without having to separate from their favorite shield
however, people proposed that it would be too op, as the swiftstrike (apparently) already is. i mainly wanted a prismatic reskin to go along with a 5 star version but the whole promotion idea works perfect for the community and for OOO.
please get this idea to the GMs

Maybe it could get a four star version with more normal Defence and then at 5* have ones that have gunning asi very high, same with swords and then maybe do what the new gunner armors have with various status types and damage types. But of course it would have weak defences like half of the total bar.

I made it 2 years ago, so no. I just saw that there were red and blue options for the swirl effects, so I changed the SSB's skin file to match those. There were also a few others, I think white and yellow, but I can't remember. I'm sure there's a way to modify it, but it requires messing with the color effect settings in the core of the effect files, which I have no idea how to change.

I love the one with the little Gunpup symbol. The simple design is visible from afar and still has color & style!
Rather than recoloring the Swiftstrikes I vote for the fun symbols on breaker!
--Lovely gets a pink heart
--Toasty gets fire
--Dazed gets a wolver
--Military gets a Shamrock or something
--Shadow gets a skull
--Rageous gets the Rageous lightning effects
--Obsidian gets Apocrean tentacles (so creeeeeepy)
For the rarest (~10% box rate?) include a SSB that has pure Pierce, Shadow, or Ele instead of Normal. THAT will sell boxes. Players will go nuts trying to get a Pierce Max on the pierce SSB so it *might* *possibly* *MAYBE* be a little bit useful in T3.

I'd rather they not make them uniquely different + hard to get + prize box only even if it would be a worthless endeavor getting one, but putting unique variants on them out of the box would be a pretty sweet idea as it would allow for things like status resistance ones... Like a rare chance for them to have status max UVs (as if they were crafted that way), possibly corresponding to their design.

A divine shield would be quite, and I wouldn't mind seeing a promo box that contained a few armor variants that are centered around matching with swiftstrike.. wouldn't be nearly as successful, but would at least help. Problem is mostly that lime-yellow doesn't match personal colours/schemes most of the time. It'd have to be a very clever scheme to work well.

A prismatic SSB would definitely be a sweet get!
If you were going the route of "breaker shield" models for the reskin design, they behave like the SSB does on knights already because of their size and shape. That speeds up the process because the model is already functional.
They would have to make these shields very distinct because people will think they are breaker shields and not your new, cooler, promo box Swiftstrike.
This box would have to show up more than once to be profitable in my opinion. If you give more players more chances to buy those reskinned swiftstrikes, more will buy them in all likelyhood.
Also, what will everyone do with their swiftstrike they already have if they buy a new one? Sell it to vendors or new players?
