Okay, so this isn't the biggest, greatest suggestion in the world, and it won't even have an impact on the game itself, but I would like to see something a little amusing added to the game.
The idea I'm going with here is to have the charge-aura, the light that emits from your knight when you've fully charged your weapon for a charge-attack, to reflect the type of damage your weapon will be dealing. Notice how enemies show spikes in the direction they're about to attack, and the colour representing the damage type they have? Like that, but for players (without the spikes). For example, right now we have a yellow aura, this could be used for Piercing weapons when they are charged up. When we're using a weapon that deals Normal damage, it would be red instead. Likewise, weapons that deal Elemental damage would emit a green aura and weapons dealing Shadow damage emit a purple aura.
AlexJS:
"The issue comes up with multi-type damage weapons like the Acheron (Shadow/Normal) or the Argent Peacemaker (Elemental/Piercing). I suppose either multi-colored rings or combining the two colors would work, or simply just picking the first one (but that would be lazy)."
I've been thinking about that one as well, but mixing together two colours may or may not be a little tricky. It'd be a nice touch if they do, but if not they should pick the second type for that weapon.
That way, Acheron would have a purple colour, Argent Peacemaker have a green colour, and Ionized Salt Bomb a yellow colour. Red would really only be for pure-Normal weapons in that sense. Although the former is indeed something they could work on, the latter, which I suggested, should work just as fine as a fallback-plan.
Like I said, it's not really a big thing I'm going about here, but rather a nice little effect that I would like to see. Useful? Not at all, just looks nice.
Opinions? I would like to hear what you guys think about this.
Would be nice :)
