Regarding prize boxes in Dreams and Nightmares

As you go through the level you may find prize boxes with nothing but heat and CR in them (this makes the level and battles more difficult) and I can understand why you did that.
Once you beat the mission however you have a prize room in which you have numerous boxes. As a player I feel it is a bit of a slap on the face to find things like Vitapods and HP capsules as well as other pickups when I should be getting as big a reward as possible (or at least one that is the maximum output for the number of boxes presented) considering I just went through one of the toughest, cheapest, and laggiest battles in the game.
What is the point of boxes dropping things that I will never use?

I have taken quick notice of this as well. It would make a lot more sense to keep the pickup items appear, if at all, from the few boxes that appear in the depths before the safe area. They are scarce enough to turn what usually appear commonly at the drop of a hat into highly valuable tools that require extensively crucial and sparing useage to improve survival, making detours to the dead-ends they show up at much more meaningful.
And while you mention it, the toughest, cheapest and laggiest battle would go to the last room in Grinchlin Assault. There is as of yet no alternative or no exception to this case, its difficulty and design are truly the most unforgiving in the game.
@Bopp: We would all be happier if every one of the boxes in the safe area dropped only Crowns, Heat and Rarities (and maybe even weapons and gears, if the dropchart tables still allow it nowadays) without going through with substracting their amount. Even this suggestion as well as the aforemented recommendation are more than reasonable enough to push for.

would be nice if you could at least change gear in there to take advantage of the heat. It's kind of like a mix between Sanctuary and the last depth of danger missions, both of which you can change gear in.

Please keep discussion about the new content here. Thanks!
The boxes are only half-full with valuable items? Would you be happier if there were half as many boxes, filled entirely with valuable items?
