With the addition of another type of token to acquire in the Save Winterfest mission, the time it takes to get an individual token's reward has been increased drastically.
For example, last Winterfest, Save Winterfest would grant around 40-50 of each token on a mediocre/common run, and a good run giving 70-80 each. Now, with a fourth token, we get 20-30 each on a common run, and 40-50 each on a good run.
Now let's math a bit let's say every run was a good run, giving 80 tokens in the old, or 50 in the new. In the old tokens, it would take 50 Save Winterfest runs to get a scarf, totaling 250 minutes, or 4.16 hours. In a strange twist of fate, in the new system, numbers get a bit swapped, meaning it would take 80 runs under the new system, totaling 400 minutes, or 6.66 hours.
However, for both of those, it is best case scenario. Let's go for what it will probably take with a bit more math:
In the old system, a common run would grant 40 on a lower end, meaning it would take 100 Save Winterfest runs to get a scarf. This would take 500 minutes, or 8.33 hours. In the new system, you get 20 tokens per run commonly. This would take the time required to get a scarf up to 200 runs, totaling 1000 minutes, or 16.66 hours. Holy moley!
So, with this all said and done, we can take a look at the prize gap. In the new system it takes more than twice the time required just to get a single item. The rewards, thus, should be lowered in cost to make up for this.
In order for it to take about the same amount of time as before, the token requirement should be lowered to 62.5% of the current price if you're calculating based off the high end, or drop it down to even 50% of current prices if you want to base it off of lower end.
For a 37.5% decrease in price, it would take the exact same amount of time for a large item in the old system (4.16 hours) if you got the best wish count every time, and it would take 625 minutes or 10.41 hours if you got mediocre wish count.
For a 50% decrease in price, it would take 3.33 hours of the best wish count to get a large item, and the exact same time (8.33 hours) if you got mediocre wish count in the old system.
TL;DR - reduce the Red/Green/White/Blue Winter Wish token's item cost by 37.5% to 50% to accommodate the newly introduced Blue Winter Wish token, thus reducing grind times back to more reasonable amounts. No one wants to spend 70% of a day grinding a mission for a single item.
+1.
That's just about the only thing I don't like about the new content here.
