Death in the family it seems as the posts have been a little slow. Think Thinslayer is currently up to something or did writers block strike down the swift handed author?

I feel like shooting Violet right now, as that would make Melvin feel better. In fact, just hurting anyone would make him feel better.
A conflict of help or harm.
I've been an exhausted mess lately, so all of my RPs have been suffering. But things are starting to come together, so ideas are flowing again. And since they are flowing, I *am* up to something. Namely, trying to decide on how to balance action vs slice of life for this RP. I'm thinking 75/25. The action is supposed to, among other things, question how or why anyone would live here.
Well, If Pehron gets a chance to, he might try to answer that question.
Uh, by that I mean, since were taking a little stasis-time here, I might as well dump a word or two about what I'm planning for my character. Because it might come into conflict with what youre planning for the story. Or not.
First, If both Pehron and the villagers survive long enough (last RP I was in you shoved a dark spike of evil on my character, so who knows), I plan to have him teach the villagers how to make better farming grounds, or build more stable houses, in short: improve their lives. I made him a geographer exactly for that, for the awkward moment were he'll be using his knowledge for teaching, when he expected to desing bases for artilery guns.
If not that, I think I could help you with the worldbuilding aspect of the story trough Pehron. He's an active sightseer, so his narrative could be used to give everyone else a very detailed scene of where theyre in without having to occupy space on your own narrative. While you administer the events that happen, I, throug Pehron, could give detail to the world. Of course, we would have to communicate ouside of this forum to work out the details (without spoiling it to the others), but this is only a suggestion.
Completely unrelated to the story: uh... um, hey, I noticed there's another guy named "Thinslayer" on RPNation.com too, is that you?
Well Thin I hate to be the one to push, but at this point we need a quick shove to motivate ya back on your feet. I will be on Steam to night if ya need some help with the Greek responses and ETC. Moreover we need to get this train moving once more before it stagnates and dies off, it would be a damned shame to see another graveyard-ed for its time to shine really came through.
[Insert Jibber-Jabber dialogue here]
I know right? I have that wonderful feeling writers block has set in and or perhaps Thin has bitten off more then he can chew again.
I'm sorry guys, I have zero motivation to continue this RP. I no longer find the premise very compelling. I've been tinkering with it in my head, trying to find ways to make it work, but it's not panning out no matter how I look at it. I hate to give Midnight-Dj any ammo, but he may ultimately have been right - I did not have a complete picture of the world that this story takes place in.

I am not going to say 'I told you so', but I hope at least you learned something from this. Gathering experience so the next RP can be a success.
And hey, with enough time, anyone can improve.
Affraiel: "Man I swear to Vog and his b**** of a mother you have something against me, Midnight-DJ, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE WHITE HAIRED BRAT SO FREAKING HOT???!!!"
DAMMIT
*Flips all the tables*
*goes to the rest of the universes flipping tables*
Also, Midnight, I'm going to be perfectly honest in saying I liked your old art better.
The face looks less... Uh, hyper-exaggerated, and that new chestplate, waugh!
If someone took a hammer to that, she'd die because of the chestplate!
Okay, maybe not, but it's bad to have armor that points inwards, due to how the force of the attacks work. Just saying.
You have improved on limb placement, though.
Hay Thin, if ya got a moment lets have a little talk. I will be on Steam for a while EST time so ya.
Granted that would be a very thematic idea, I do like it honestly. But lets have a little brainstorm and put some more ideas into circulation?
(Side note; honestly I am a nerd and spot references like that all the time, to normal people ya they wouldn't catch it so it was a little brash to just jump out there and use it.)
Midnight, we can't base this off staff using the names. The names of staff are that of the Greek(and to some extent even Roman, I would say circa just after the formation of the Romans) Gods/Dimi-gods names. So disclueding them we have to turn to weapons, armor, guns, bombs. Now for a bit of a small nitpick of my own really and this is more aimed at OOO, not bad but just a point. Some of the armor/swords look like that of the pre & post Roman Military. As the Greeks tended to be more Bronze over steel, where the Romans where more steal and leather with Steel padding and the starting of some forms of chain-mail (though they never really had chain-mail it was more along the lines of layers of thick leather and riveted steal.) Now the might have had Coif under their armor, but for the most part if they needed some kinda metal plating it was steel (Mostly for the wealthy) and Bronze (Common soldiers).
That being said, you do have some nice ideas, but I see it more like this: The Morai would be the Spartans, and the Spirals would be more along the lines of Athenians. Morai seem to be more war like and tend to put more time and money into their war machines/gear/weapons. Whereas the Spirals seem to be more well rounded and have the extra edge when it comes to inventions, schooling, ETC. Over all I would wager that Spirals are in a since 'smarter' then the Morai, where the Morai are more 'war prone' when it comes to innovations. Not disclueding civilians at all, they might have more along the lines of what we would call 'the basic designs of life'. A working home, jobs, income, ETC, however when it comes to where Tax money or just plain out Spoils of war funds go, I would say that is more spent on military when anything else.
