Just curious on who owns the IP to SK now. Logic would tell me that Grey Haven does infact own it, but the fact that Sega attenpted to make the ios spinoff "Rise of Knights"(before the switch) concerns me. I can't find the Ios game on the US or Canadian stores, which leads me to believe they (thankfully) abandonded it.
I'm just concerned about the IP's future. If Sega still holds the full rights to the IP, which would make little sense if Grey Havens was still allowed to run the game, I'd fear they would attempt to "corrupt" it again or leave the IP for dead. While if Grey Havens owns it, t there might always be a slim hope of a sequel, even in another non-mmo genre. It's unlikely to ever see this game have a true update again, and even less likely for the IP to ever continue, I'd like to have hope that they'd own it. Though I highly doubt it will go anywhere, considering Grey Havens was described as a "museum" for the games.
It's just that SK is a really unique IP with a unique artstyle. It would be a shame for it to die here.
Clearly stated at the bottom of the site:
"Copyright ©2016 Grey Havens, LLC. All rights reserved."
Seems safe to say yes, Grey Havens now owns the SK IP.
