My feelings on T3 players & P.U.Gs(pick up groups)
This is how i feel about Tier 3 players, P.U.Gs, & majority of the spiral knight players. http://tinyurl.com/66kosuf
Majority of you are irritating, lack teamplay, STOP SOLOING WHEN TEAM GANGING, learn to AGGRO RIGHT FUDGING PLEASE, & i also hate every single one of you. Majority of my guildies are unbearable. I throw a fiss & go berserk at my parties each time. Not to mention, in Graveyard Tier 3, if you see your team fighting instead of running, FIGHT MOTHERFUDGING AS WELL. <~ if you see us in control, only reason we lost control is because YOU RAN THE CHEESE AWAY, MAKING US CARRY YOUR PHANTOM. 4 phantoms and a wave of undead half cornered in the mob bc you had the decency to run around waking all the zombies from their graves is not a good way to get me back for lecturing your newbish teamwork. YOU GUYS ARE TIER 3 NOW, LEARN TO BE TIER 3 PLAYERS. we need an npc that has all 5* gear in the core, all the parties i've been in only do basil runs and leave as soon as they reach basil. since no one has a real reason to go to the core, excluding those who have already gone down there, Tier 3 is a dead Tier. and i believe it is the biggest reason why everyone in tier 3 are such NOOBS.
Stop doing pugs then, I haven't ran with a pug in like two weeks and have been enjoying the game a lot more. If your guild mates are an issue too try to help them out, give them advice don't flip on them or tell them what to do just throw some pointers at them.
All else fails just solo like me, I do about 3+ runs to the core a day with invite only though I do sometimes invite people I know can handle themselves.
yes i am 5*. Here is my gear: http://tinyurl.com/6yh8ybl
I carry Skolver cap & armor as my all terrain gear in any depth/lord duke & the FSC, grey owlite shield, Final Flourish, Glacius, Acheron, Iron slug, shivermsit buster, & ash of agni. I also carry dread skelly charm trinkets which i used to take for granted as useless. depending on the stratum, the weapons i'll use will be the ones with the greatest damage bonus corresponding to the monsters there. mostly carry Glacius, Acheron, Iron slug, & shivermist. going to craft the venom haze bomb soon.
i mostly carry most of my T3 PUGS/parties.
Going with a pickup group in T3 seems like a horrible idea. I only do T3 alone or with friends, personally.

Well you see, once upon a time (somewhere around the time before May and Steam, whatever the hell that is), there were good players on Spiral Knights.
Also, after seeing your gear, I honestly don't think you have room to complain about others.
i dislike doing solo runs bc i'm missing out on the social aspect of the game. tbh(to be honest), Tier 3 is really fun with 4 man hp but of course, most of my buddies rather do lord duke or JK. so yah, pretty much forced to do pugs. solo runs aren't really fun to do. i need ot have some fun when i'm not farming crowns lol.

yes i am 5*
No, I meant "are you 5 YEARS OLD?". I ask because you're acting like you are.
don't underestimate my style >:d you should do a run with me sometime then. my top 3 partners have to be Gwenyvier, Turbocoke, & Lufte. we're around the same lvl of gameplay(estimation). i've done plenty of 2 man runs with turbocoke in fire citadel & lord vanaduke without having to waste more then 10 energy in the entire stratum run. with skolver, me who has 0 fire resist. & iron slug is probably the best gun for me considering i don't use my mouse in my gameplay. it has a the perfect radius making my aim extremely accurate. all players have different playstyles. so it's best to get weapons that fit that gameplay.
I HAVE ISSUES, EITHER DEAL WITH IT OR have a taste of my iron slug
>I throw a fiss & go berserk at my parties each time.
When the "problem" is everybody else, the real problem is you.
This has gotta be a troll
I was going to say "posting in a thread full of trolls", but then I realized I was in the wrong site.
I think you have a legitimate complaint about your experiences in the clockworks, as there are so many people who play this game, any player is likely to find themselves in groups that are found wanting. The make-up of the community ranges greatly in age and skill level, so there's a lot of chance involved in the type of person your be in.
However, I think your response to the situation is deconstructive and will only cause people to ignore or berate you. As you can see by everyone's responses, this has happened.
I mostly end up dropping off at D23 myself, but that's mainly because;
A) I'm going solo.
B) I'm going with a friend to help him/her get a recipe.
C) Nobody in my party wants to continue.
D) I've already died in the previous stratum.
E) I don't have the right equipment for the next stratum.
I don't have a decent all-around gear (yet), so don't chew me out.
As for Graveyards, I feel your pain. Last time I went on a PUG and ran into a graveyard, two of them hightailed it for the exit while me and some other poor soul stood our ground to fight the horde of Zombies and the four Phantoms. I will admit I threw a fit at the end when they left us to die and lose our heat as they went down the elevator without us. What really ticked me off was that the one guy who started it basically just said "Just leave them there," and later on suggested to have me kicked "So he won't do stupid [censored] and get us all killed." Excuse me, what? The situation was under control until... Actually, nevermind. I'll throw another fit if I go on. Worst part is that it did happen. Go figure.
The above example is the worst display of team-work I have seen up until now. Well, second worst, but I won't go into that.
You do have reason to be angry, but like kbe2k11 said, giving them points to follow really helps - preferably before you hit the party button and go on. (I should have done that.) This topic could have been a little less aggressive, but I am no-one to blame you for how it turned out - I understand.
As for myself, I don't do T3 runs all that much because I don't consider myself good enough to run through. There's also the issue of not finding decent people to do it with. Running an open party in T1 and T2 usually fills it up completely before the end, whereas in T3 I'm lucky to have one guy join me for the Clockwork Terminal. I wish T3 was a bit more populated, but I doubt that's going to be the case outside of Firestorm Citadel.
Tier 3 requires teamwork if you're in a party. Joining random groups in Tier 3 is the worst thing you can do since chances are you don't even know these people and won't know how they play, nor will they know how you play.
Basically, everyone gets in each other's way and dies. The end.
And that's I why I prefer to go solo on everything. (or with some real friends)
No noobs, no elitists. You can only blame yourself for your failures (and the devs, with the classic "lol everything is broken fix NAO").
And, if you are failing with your friends, you will laugh with them, not rage because of them.

I will be nicer than originally..just don't go with random people if they make you mad.

The personal attacks: please to cease them.
If you wish to debate the points, do.
If a fellow Knight inspires strong feelings of irritation in you, consider simply not posting a reply. The sound of crickets chirping is powerful indeed.
The real problem/main issue i have to deal with is everyone is a soloist. Which dearly causes major consequences to the party. So, bottom-line of this post, SOLOIST PLAYERS = A NO NO!
So yeah um... Deal with it.
all those who have been criticizing me on this post are those Tier 3 bums who can't cooperate right with other players.
When the "problem" is everybody else, the real problem is you.
When I read this post, the first thing I thought of was this.
That said, quit getting mad at video games. Or else a frog and a dolphin will burst into your home and knock your eyeballs out.
While the OP is taking the game way too seriously, it's hard to deny that most PUG players you run into on T3 have no business being there. It doesn't even have anything to do with teamwork; most PUG players just take way too much damage from very avoidable things.
My feelings on this thread:
1. You feel the same way as pretty much every T3 player. Congratulations.
2. It seems like the majority of the people who make serious posts on these forums either already are decent T3 players or are in the process of becoming better ones. Your rant here seems a little out of place.
My suggestion to you, cowboyb3b0p, is to find a guild and a bunch of friends that you know are decent T3 players and only play with them.
My winmillion was pretty much made for soloing though. The extreme push on it means ganging up is usually counter productive.
I'm crowd control as well as a sort of assassin. If I can single out the annoying enemy and kill him myself, we can move on to the rest. The majority of the time I'm keeping the enemy broken up. They're harder to attack for everyone of they're clumped up too much. Unless we have a bomber, but that's unusual. I'll usually charge a group, break them, sheild bump, and get the hell out. Then spend my time trying to keep individual enemies off my teammates.
One thing that gets me is people assume I don't know that lower depth wolvers dodge projectiles. They don't seem to be observant enough to notice that I'm only firing at the ones that are about to bite them from behind. They can focus on one wolver while I keep the others occupied. Everyone ends the fight with a lot of HP even in the worst cases because of it. Using the AI's tendencies against itself is a staple of gaming.
I generally only play with my guild, or with people on my friends list, who I'm very selective about. Crisis averted!
On a side note, I want to say that I'm also friends with Lufte, and he's a great player. :>
@Buffcookie: Is that your strategy for Tier 2, or for Tier 3?
Tier two.
In three my strategy is summed up thusly:
OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD!
Yeeeah, the whole point of this thread was Tier 3. It's right in the title.
:(
It was a joke.
I try to stick to the same basic principle in tier three, yes. It works quite well, and I got to see the core today! Crowd control is an essential element in a game like this. Someone has to be on top of it. Though it does involve a lot of praying I don't get my ass chomped off. I'm only in tier four armor.
Dem wolvers bite so haaaaaard.
i can just repeat what i always say
the majority of the players do not read the forums and most unlikely 1 particular post directed to them in a bigger forum(besides it would be even less probable, that 1 of the players uve played with, read this, changed positively by ur means and played with u, giving u a little statisfaction)
and back on topic..sry sir, ur wise words didnt improve my ingame skill (:
Such an insightful necro. Thank you, hectorduribe.
I would actually like to apologize for my rash actions. Problem really was me lol. All players have different playstyles, & i just need to accept that fact instead of being picky. But most T3 experts out there feel the same. Some dislike shivermist buster spammers, others dislike players who gun elusive monsters like gremlins, wolvers, & devilites, and so on.
Hey baby we're T3, wanna come to my place tonight and meet our Vanadukes?
So yeah, I'm just going to become a mute player like i was when i first started playing this game back 3 months ago. I'll just find a way to play with your different styles.
There's one more thing i like to point out. MLG pros of SK really do tick me the hell off.
Here's why:
1. You ignore the monsters, run ahead of your team doing who the hell knows what.
2. You guys rush Fire Citadel, do that weak Vanaduke glitch where he becomes stationary(not talking about shivering). Shivering is fine.
3. Your all competitive & hold stupid grudges. Make lousy excuses that your lagging, each time you die. I've been lagging too but at least i don't mind having assistance when doing hard rooms. You guys put yourselves in front of the party, please use your pills when your nearly at half pint of hp, don't solo. I dislike having to waste unnecessary energy because of your cocky selfishness. I have been getting strong feelings of hatred of this game because everyone's becoming way too competitive & cocky. I now have two ex-doubles partners which make me want to kick their freaking n00bie behinds/wanting to STRANGLE THEM. (sarcasm, not actual threat)
ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) anyone have a solution? or is becoming a mute player fair enough?
solution: nah i quit, taking a break for a bit SK <3

May I know your in-game name? I would like to know who should I avoid...
EDIT: oh, nvm. Didn't read that last post that says you are taking a break...
Maybe if you were a bit kinder people would want to play with you. If you don't like your guild, find one that you do like. Find one that you can relate to and have fun with that doesn't cause all this hatred in you to act like this.
I don't have 5* gear and I can make it to the core and I do, and I do it with people in my guild, that also doesn't have 5* gear.
We run graveyard runs beautifully because we have a technique to it that some friends and I discovered in beta and it still works to this day. If you want help on graveyards and teaching people how to do runs, I'll go with you. I do this all the time. If i don't like what someone in my guild is doing in a run, then I let them know RIGHT then in a nice way instead of calling them awful and horrible.
You want runs to go well? Stop acting like you're superior and teach those that might not know. Be kind. Kindness goes a long way in this game and life in general.
I hope you learn that.
I should say.. i don't have COMPLETE 5*... heh.
new T3 gen is WORST! @#$% i quit
"I would actually like to apologize for my rash actions[:D]. Problem really was me lol. All players have different playstyles, & i just need to accept that fact instead of being picky. But most T3 experts[?] out there feel the same. Some dislike shivermist buster spammers[DISLIKE IS THE WEAKEST WORD FOR THAT, lol], others dislike players who gun elusive monsters like gremlins, wolvers, & devilites, and so on[?]."
"new T3 gen is WORST! #$%^ i quit"
self explanatory..edit old post or semi- contradict urself o.o?
"Make lousy excuses that your lagging, each time you die."
aint no lousy excuse unless u can prove, especially in this game lag is superb issue :D, lol
I throw a fiss & go berserk at my parties each time.
Are you 5?
