Is the antigua series really THAT bad?

I'm mainly a gun user in the game, and the gun I use is the Sentenza. The thing that really got me hooked on the antigua series was the nice 5* charged attack, the pushback of the owl is great and I've even seen it hit the same enemy 4+ times, but also the 6 shot burst it has.
I probably should have gone with the argent, considering how weak the sentenza is against a lot of mobs, but I love the look and feel for the gun. Maybe I'm just choosing aesthetics over functionality and damage, but when paired with a gravaton vortex you can unleash hell.
The 2 shot guns seemed powerfull but I don't really like that playstyle, I started off with the blaster series but never upgraded to the valiance. Overall, I do love the sentenza, but it seems very situational. that being said, you rip apart wolvers and gremlins like no other ;]

one thing I noticed with ALL
one thing I noticed with ALL gun charge attacks is that if you are up against a wall or object, it will "eat" the charge attack and not go through the projectile course, which has been really irritating me.

Argent Peacemaker is the best gun, period
It's the only gun that can fire through mist screens, and it's rapid fire ability is very valuable.

The split damage is meh. Yeah
The split damage is meh. Yeah sure the pistol looks really nice that's what drew me in. The fire rate is nice but due to the split with piercing what you would normally be super effective against you won't be. If you are looking for a nice shadow pistol go for the new one from the rormalus twins the catalyzer go down the toxic line. and the two shot pistol line the magnus gets stuff done due to the you can now reload while walking buff they are more friendly but if it's not your style I wouldn't use them.

And the needle shot is a really cool-looking gun that you can actually get a UV on, which makes it better than the antigua line, which is extremely difficult to get a good UV on.

I shoot through mist screens
I shoot through mist screens with my Hail Driver. As long as the mobs are close enough to it, I think you can use almost any gun.
It's not bad. At all. It just isn't good either.
The argent is a pretty decent gun as it does the same damage to everything.
Just don't expect to be on par damage-wise against the alchemers.
It still is a very viable choice.
