So i basically accomplished T3 gear today, was really happy about that, tried a T3 dungeon and was basically [defeated horribly]! i tried again several times with different groups, even "Vanaduke Slayer" groups but never got past depth 22 -.-". So my basic question is what gear of mine should i craft up next to be more successfull i know it is more then just the gear that determines how successfull a group is but i would appreciate a few tips.

My gear at the moment

-Ash Tail Cap (lv.10)
-Ash Tail Coat (lv.10)
-Leviathan (lv.10)
-Antigua (lv.10)
-Rock Jelly shield (lv.5)

Alternative gear (planning on crafting up)

-Sealed Sword planning on crafting to avenger
-2* owlight thingy
-3*superblaster
-2* plate shield

Thanks for the help!
ps: i know my spelling sucks (not native) =D

T3 survival strategies

My first few times in T3 were a bit shocking as well. Everyone is going to offer opinions, so here are mine:

Plan ahead--look at the gate map and see what levels you are likely to be facing. At the very least, take note of the tier theme.

Have varied options for armor and weapons. Right now your Ash Tail set and rock jelly shield only give you defense against normal and piercing damage. Unless you're just fighting on non-elemental beast or jelly levels, this means you're defenseless against anything else. This includes all elemental and shadow attacks--and T3 enemies do quite a lot of elemental/non-normal damage attacks. Unless you're prepared against this, you won't last long. It's good to have a mix of armors, helms, and shields to choose from depending on the levels (see "plan ahead", above). Try to get gear that also gives resistance to status effects. This goes for weapons as well--the Levi is fine, but won't give you bonus damage to anything. Likewise, the Antigua is pure piercing, and useless against Jellies/Constructs. Different weapons work better on different enemies, and you need to optimize for what you'll be facing.

Somewhat related, don't be afraid to mix equipment sets to give yourself a wider range of defenses. But, again, make sure your mix is appropriate for whatever strata you're on.

Know enemy behavior. Enemies behave differently than in T1 and T2. They are more aggressive and use their special attacks more frequently, and do more elemental/piercing/shadow damage. Other enemies, like gremlins, are quite a bit different. Learn how they work and how to fight them.

I hope that helps a bit.

Do not swing your sword more

Do not swing your sword more than once (twice for 3-swing swords) if an enemy is facing you. Doing so will usually result in them hitting you.

Focus on learning enemy attack patterns and gestures. If you do not know the timings of enemy attacks, you will not be able to do T3.

Dodging > Blocking. Never block an attack if you can simply move out of range instead. Even the strongest 5* shields will be broken with a few hits in T3.

Never stop moving. Some mobs have very long attack ranges, and if you stop for more than a couple seconds it's likely they will be able to hit you. In addition, some mobs will just never attack unless you stop moving; things like trojans or devilites will rarely do anything unless they're able to "lock on" by you standing in front of them for a second or two.

The bottom line is that you cannot play T3 anything at all like you play T1/2. Your armor doesn't matter as much as your ability to avoid getting hit in the first place.

both of the above... learn

both of the above...

learn the attack patterns, it's more important to avoid damage than to deal damage.
know which weapon to use for what enemy, and how to deal with them.

what hasn't been mentioned before...?
learn to shield bump, it will save your life many many times.
try soloing at first, and take it slow, if find in groups people run a lot more...

personally i think it's more

personally i think it's more important to get the vog armours, cos the bonus is very helpful
and you already have a levi to use

unless you really like the 2 swing swords..

the 2 swing swords are nice

the 2 swing swords are nice fo knocking back enemies, im using it too. (divine avenger)

what you need in addition to evading/blocking/learning could be a nice group. for the start of t3 at least. its pretty hard solo, i am personally dying to often there.
