So, I thought it was originally my client's low-quality mode, but after asking my teammates about my attacks...
Are Khorovod's rocks gone!?

I am about to craft a Khorovod someime tommorow, so i really hope wat u r saying isn't true.
Oh dear, I was thinking about picking this sword up, I do hope it hasn't been nerfed, the poor thing's been through enough, not having a 5-star variant and all...
have you ... tried it?
I normally aim my khorovod's charge attack to hit sideways so I can get multiple rock hits.
Hell, I went to training hall and attacked the wall while surrounded by robots, in case the rocks were just invisible.
They're ... gone??
[edit]
If the rocks are gone because you made a 5* Troika that has them, but better, okay ;v
wow they really gone, just sent bug report..
now it gona ba harder to sell it :l, altho now i have even more of a reason to sell it >.<'''
Maybe it is due to your graphical settings ?
If it was due to graphical settings, monsters would still be dying or getting hit around me.
This is not the case.
Wow, so this is why I was getting hit so often last night...
I didn't even notice I was too frustrated. It seemed like a lot of my attacks (normal and charged) were missing as well. This better get fixed. Or maybe they're prepping a 5*. Still, if that be the case, they should have left the rocks...
Edit: Ya, rocks are definitely gone. Not due to graphics either. Just... gone.
Argh! This stinks. That was like the best part of the khorovod!
Anyways, I have the slight feeling that is merely a bug. I submitted a bug report also, and I really hope it will be fixed, as it was like my favorite part of the sword. (Plus the fact that it looks cool has amazing damage, etc.... :D)
This is devastating.
At the same time, since they are messing with something in the Khorovod's code that can only indicate one thing... 5* coming soon! Woot! :D
We can only hope.
It's a lot harder to use without those rocks. Not that it was an easy sword to use in the first place.
It was also worse than avenger and faust in every way.
Faust and Avenger are the same speed in practice (the tooltip is incorrect, as usual), while the Troika line is considerably slower.
Khorovod does normal damage, but unlike cases where the special weapons are slightly worse when neutral and only 'more powerful' than their normal counterparts when "effective" against an enemy (Neutralizer vs Biohazard; Prismatech vs other elemental alchemers), both faust and avenger do greater or the same amount of damage when neutral, while having more attack speed.
Honestly, the only way I could ever see the Troika line "compete" in terms of damage or usefulness was with the charge attack - by doing a slight miss (or using ice), you could get the surrounding rocks to stun+deal more damage (and even then, that was completely luck!) and this last patch completely took that away.
If you guys really wanted to nerf something, go nerf Divine Avenger. Its charge attack is widely used to glitch-hit past walls due to how the projectiles spawn (need we take you to Firestone Citadel?). Go give it a 4-5 second level 10 charge, like the Gran Faust. Decrease its charge attack's range.
Nerfing Khorovod is like making Gran Faust's charge attack last 10 seconds and removing the ability to curse using second swing.

edit:
but nerfing khorovod to make a 5* variant is like, totally awesome.
How am I supposed to be Dogrock if my favorite sword has no rocks!? They've cut off my overlarge stones! (ouch)
Actually, the re-distribution of the monsters (I'm looking at you Jigsaw Valley) is an even further nerf in my mind. I used to use my Khorovod all the time when faced with mixed resist type monsters, namely beasts and constructs at once. Without these spawns it's a lot easier to be effective with a blade that does a specific damage type.
HAHAHA!!!!! thats so funny! oh sorry khorovod lovers, no offense. Its just that my brother has one and i think it sucks and when he heard about his, he got all depressed and it was really funny! But if they do make a 5* one that is really really good, i MIGHT get it. MIGHT. I am a calibur fan so it doesnt affect me at all so i dont really care about the rocks. now then, back to my laghing: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( i know, im so cruel):D
Cool story bro.
What a huge contribution to this thread, very deep thoughts and well thought out opinions in that post, I love it. People must love you on these boards with posts like that...
You type like you're an obnoxious 11 year old girl.
I like how ironic it is that OP cares about a bad sword being nerfed. Being that it's already bad, who cares.
Originally, the thread was just asking whether other people had the same experience or if my client was just weird; after seeing that it wasn't just me, I decided to change it for lulz.
I exaggerate here (about it being "bad"), but while the Khorovod is a "worse" sword than the sealed sword lines, I HAD found uses and situations for it to be fairly useful, using the charge attack, but now that's gone. It's very strange to see them "nerf" (or possibly, accidentally bug) a weapon that was far from needing it so suddenly (in the light of them recently buffing weapons that needed it - see Umbra/Prismatech alchemers). They removed the rocks, but they didn't do anything like buff the damage or speed :/
So now, the thread doubles as speculation as to whether or not this change is just foreshadowing the release of a 5* variant of the troika line, which is the only reasonable explanation I can think for that kind of change.
im a boy. an OBNOXIUS boy if you want
So, I've got an Avenger, so just for kicks I decided to ragecraft a troika to compare the two. Just messing around in the AT, they seem to swing at the same rate.
If you try equipping attack speed increase items (ex: swiftstrike, vog), the difference in speed become really noticeable.
The most affected part is the post-lag after the swing comes out.
So, is the difference only apparent when speed-increasing items are equipped? Because I actually don't intend to use, nor do I currently have access to, a vog suit or swiftstrike for the forseeable future.
No more AoE and stun for it. AND NO ROCKS >:(
Yet they still keep the stun for the 2&3 star versions o0. It does make the 3 star version seem more powerful then the Khorovod. Y U NERF 'WEAKER' SWORD?
It's just most noticeable that way.
I can definitely feel the difference without the attack speed increase, but that was just a suggestion that really helps it show.
What??
(Yes, if you charge and attack with Khorovod there will be rocks behind you, good thing they can deal damage to those monsters that are near them. *the rocks dissapear once your character lift the sword again)
