Heat Consume = Rage

I think that when you have fully leveld up your equipment Heat is essentialy worthless. So what I propose is that there is a button you could press which gradually drains your heat whilst giving you increased speed and attack for the duration. Once you have pressed it, the effect will continue until you have lost all your heat (to stop spamming). And who knows? Maybe it could give a new use to those Heat Amplifiers.

Please provide your insights on how you think this system would work.

I can't really see that particular idea working, though it's nice to see an idea of SOMETHING to do with heat...

Why? You'd primarily want this "Rage" bonus during difficult fights. AKA Bosses. If it's using your currently gained heat on that level, you won't have any heat on boss fights.

An easier fix would be to have the heat be sucked into the elevator instead, reducing the energy cost depending on how much heat you had.

Basically, when all your gear is level 10, the excess heat flows into the elevator. From all players.

So, in a solo party, you'll get all the materials that drop, but you'll have less heat to dump into the elevator.

In a party of 4, if nobody uses energy to resurrect (thereby losing the heat) you would have 4 times as much heat as you would solo.

Treat each elevator like an item, except that all players can dump heat into it.

Something like the above. Not exactly that, but in essence it would be similar.

So, energy cost would start at 10.
For every "level" gained by the elevator at the end of your stage (collective heat from all players on the elevator)
the cost of the elevator would be reduced by 1. This would cap at a max of 5 energy reduced, same as power surge weekends.
This bonus would not stack with power surge weekends.
This bonus would only apply to -that- elevator.

Of course, the only way the elevator gains heat, is from players with no items to dump heat into.
That way, at the end of the level, you would see "Elevator" in addition to all items being leveled up.

If two players have all level 10 items, one has only one level 9 item left, and one has multiple items needing heat...

The two players would apply -all- their heat to the elevator, the second would give partial heat after it hits 10, and the last would give no heat.

I can't see that working.

I can't see how the rage bonus would work, cause like eternity said, you'd need it in boss fights, and you don't get heat before boss fights.

-1 on eternity's idea.

On the other hand,

Boolet's idea of putting it into elevators once all your items are full, seems like the best idea since sliced bread.

Well there still are boss rooms

You know those little rooms where you get ambushed right before the very end of a level you could use it there. The heat elevator idea is never going to happen because OOO wants you to spend money on CE to continue going down the elevators else there would be no need for mist or crystal energy

Umm. My idea suggested that you would have elevators costing 5~10 energy, depending on how well your party does.

Unless you're in an enemy-heavy area and nobody uses energy to self-rez, most areas would cost 7~10 energy at the elevator. In a party of 4.

Guess what? You'd make more money than the ~3 energy saved if you did the level solo and kept/sold all the material drops.

My idea is a use for heat that makes sense, and promotes playing in a team, and resurrecting your teammates so that the heat is conserved for the elevator.
