One of the most enjoyable aspects of PvE in Spiral Knights is having to use different tactics against different types of enemies. Unfortunately, this wouldn't translate well to PvP: there's not nearly as much variation between players.

Instead, maybe we could have PvP minigames. It would be something to do when you're out of energy but still want to hang out with your friends. Perhaps you could win small amounts of crowns, possibly taken from the losing players a la Arena Minigames in Mario Party.

You could have Chromalisk Races, or Whack-A-Skelly, or maybe some kind of Bomberman-type minigame.

I think Devilite kart racing

I think Devilite kart racing would be be better than Chromalisk Races. We could even throw in some non cube-shaped jellies and some brutish creatures as additional racers. :P

I think PvP minigames would be a great idea. Sticking the more Bomberman-like games would be a lot of fun, too. They all should use the same basic mechanic of the rest of the game. However, they could require us to use specific PvP weapons, some of which might function unconventionally.

Gambling crowns is definitely a good idea. They could even do like Y!PP and only open certain games on certain days without a Parlor Badge, if they want to introduce Badges to SK.

I knew there was another

I knew there was another minigame suggestion somewhere but for different reasons, but I can't find the thread it was in so I'll just voice my opinion in here. It still KINDA applies, I guess.

Thinking about it, I realized there'd be a risk of minigames as a whole being abused and farmed.

However, I also thought of a way to solve that without making people log back off (given that a number of the other minigame ideas were working to solve the issue of people signing off when they ran out of energy and thus minimizing sociability). Simply add a short cooldown time between minigames, which people can use to hang and be sociable.

I agree with the short cooldown time :O
We should have games like Bejeweled, and multiplayer tic-tac-toe... and maybe even a little side scrolling adventure game!

OH AND SOMETIMES.... Sometimes when you reach a certain level, you are rewarded a big prize! like armor...

I don't think we need any

I don't think we need any games other than Spiral Knights in our Spiral Knights. Puzzle games like Bejeweled would just be silly. Bomberman 64 had some multiplayer modes that would work very well in Spiral Knights.

As for being farmed, the rewards for games could work exactly as they do in Y!PP. The only money anyone can earn is the money participating players have wagered. That way, there's no way for an abnormal amount of money to come into the system.

It was removed because it was a test made by Three Rings to see how we'd interact with PvP.
