So here's the thing, there are armour sets(usually, silvermail is kinda unique in this) that provide damage bonuses against specific monster families. However there are 2 families that are missed out, gremlin and construct.
I would like to see armour sets added, or modified, to provide damage bonuses against these two monster families
i can understand construct being left out, constructs appear in almost every strata and are some of the most prolific monster types in the game, but gremlins? wheres the armour with damage bonus against these little blighters
As it is i have an armour style that could be used for gremlins, samurai (the stereotypical lacquered leather style, Dō-maru, see this article)
reasoning, the nightblade/ acheron is fashioned after a katana and is arguably one of the best gremlin killing weapons in-game (medium speed shadow damage sword)
with a different helmet the plate mail armour could be re-skinned for an acceptable approximation, though new models are always welcome
as for construct killing armour, i have no real idea as to what to fashion this after but it would still be nice to have
Some sort of engineer-themed armour set might work well as an anti-Construct loadout; perhaps loosely based on the Groundbreaker set at lower levels - obviously differentiated enough that Preview players won't be annoyed - and gaining more advanced-looking features as the line progressed. I'd love to see techier-looking visors, optics and so on in SK's style, and I know McConville's got a knack for that sort of design.
The problem is, as you quite rightly pointed out, that Constructs are everywhere, and any set that lends a significant advantage against them is potentially unbalancing. That said, the most common Constructs are probably Scuttlebots and Gun Puppies; Scuttlebots are already nuisance enemies more than anything, so a buff versus them isn't going to affect things overmuch, but giving players an advantage against turrets that's independent of their weapon choice could cause trouble.
