Accurate Health Bar

As you may already know, the health bar for your knight at the bottom of the screen isn't accurate. Due to the graphics used, there's only three images - empty, full and half full.

Sometimes you think you have one full bar left, but only to find out you actually have less than a full bar when you try to revive someone. Or with a completely full health bar, you move over a big heart thinking it will be left for later when you really need it, only to have it consumed because your full bar isn't really full.

Since the health bar is made of static images instead of being calculated, I suggest to add an option to allow us to toggle a number overlay on it. When turned on, the game will show us numbers like "10/10" or "7.5/12" on top of the health bars.

This is a problem.

It may be a problem, but the health in the bar shows significant amounts of health you have. Sure it's good to be more accurate, but it's kinda unique for a game to have this health bar. When in the middle of a heated battle, anyway, you will not check your health bar about how much you are going to give a friend. I have only observed two type of players- players that would try to do anything to revive a teammate and players that would rather fight solo with whatever health they have left. I personally do not like the numbers in this suggestion. It gives too much to think about. YOU HAVE THREE AND A HALF PIPS OF HEALTH LEFT: FIND A HEART! With whatever health I have left, I just need to see if i am close to dying or even enough to revive a friend.

"I just need to see if i am

"I just need to see if i am close to dying or even enough to revive a friend."

That's exactly the problem I'm saying - you can see a single full bar left, thinking you can revive, but in reality you have less than one so you can't.

If they don't want to give numbers, then at least make it so a full bar really means a full bar. If you take any damage, switch to the half-bar image. Round down, don't round up.

As I stated Before

Yes, I said it IS a reoccuring problem, but for now, at least, what I do is when I see I have 1 pip left... I shoot or bomb or hack individual foes to get a heart. I wouldn't revive someone if I had only one pip left. It's bad for you and your friend. YES its a problem, but not that big of an issue, in my opinion.

I'd definitely revive someone

I'd definitely revive someone when I have 1 pip left... even if you get a heart, you will still die in one to two hits. Which means, you cannot get hit no matter if you can find a heart of not.

When your goal is to reserve energy, then reviving first makes sense. Revive a competent comrade, as having two people dealing damage against the scaled monster HP is better than one. And when a heart do drop, it's dropped for the both of you.

In any case changing it from round down to round up won't take more than 5 minutes of OOO's time... so I'm not sure why you are trying so hard to shoot this down.

Ugh

I am not trying to shoot this down. It's a good idea to make these things more accurate. It's the best for everyone. I am just saying it is not that much of a deal, that is all. Accuracy is always better. I will always agree, but the adding of numbers is not a favorite of mine, and I love seeing health pips break when a player is damaged (gives authentication that a comrade was hurt, not the enemy). What ever makes things more accurate, the better. Not against you at all here. It's a great idea for more accurate health bars. Even I am confused how far I am from my next half-pip off. It's a simple issue to be fixed, that';s what I am saying. Sorry if I have been giving negative votes on this. +1

When it comes to something as important as stanima, accuracy plays a big role. I'd rather know exactly how much damage I took from that attack, and how much I've got left in reserve for myself and possible team-mate revivals.

Definite support.

Are you sure the reviving

Are you sure the reviving thing is a precision problem? My experience has been that when I appear to have 1 full pip of health remaining, I can ALWAYS revive someone on tier 1, but I can NEVER revive someone on tier 2 (and I don't remember for sure whether it's come up for me on tier 3 yet).

I wouldn't object to knowing this and about a million other things in the game more precisely, but OOO really seems to like the whole "secret game mechanics" thing.
