Health bars, health bars, more health bars!...
Firstly, I want to clarify that this is just a suggestion, NOT an offense.
I found that that Spiral Knights has some flaw in managing and displaying health bars, like:
1) The health bars of monsters. We should at least see how much remaining life the enemy has after it gets hit. This can greatly help the knights to plan attacks on monsters and not guessing how much blows to be delivered before knocking down the monsters (especially in the arena)
2)The knights themselves. We know that as knights go deeper in the Clockworks, their max. health will increase gradually. What if the max. health gets so great that the health bars have to squeeze into tiny ones? Or the health display only shows limited number of health bars and not the actual amount of health? So, it is much better to display the knights' health in numbers rather than bars. Besides, we can estimate how much damage the monsters deal on ourselves through this way.
Hope the developers can get this!

theres ancient plate, u know. and scarlet shields. and theres a screenshot on the wiki of a +27 vitapod.thing is ur health cant be more than 40 bars.
now, snowprism.
to number 1:
it is the way it is becasue no one wants to keep worrying about numbers when playing(or a minority). they kill one and they know the rest, for example:
''hey, it took 5 hits form my flourish to kill that wolver! so the rest needs 5 hits too! omg a pie!''
so, its easier, and u dont need to keep looking at numbers. u know how much it takes.
number 2:
ok, taking dmg kinda confusing, i agree, but its kinda like a warning:
'' that trojan made me a rain of hp bars , i better be wary...''
btw, are you new to sk? cuz hp bars turn into an acoredon when u haz lost of them.
so...yeah....
look at my horse, my horse is amazing.
lick it,even

thisll suck, but were you being sacrastic? cuz i cant detect sarcasm on typed words, srry. no, i dont mean to be offensive, its just that i cant see if youre being sarcastic or not, i swear.

Not sarcastic. I'm only T2, with only 3* gear. I don't know much about T3, and I don't analyse the whole wiki.
All in all, I think I'm pretty clueless. Don't you? ^_- ?
Really, no sarcasm. Honestly.

thanks, all i wanted to know.
btw, im full 3* too.
and no, you dont seem so clueless. you know 2/3 of the game.

In fsc there are so many enemies on screen at once, it kind of becomes nigh impossible to tell what belongs to who.
the current health bar system works fine.
I wouldn't mind seeing a health bar for the boss though.

They have a health status visual for the bosses now.
DO they for vanaduke? I know that have one for JK now. I don't know about Snarby though.

i think u can figure vanadukes phases with those fireballs and if he has a mask on or not....
not so sure about snarby, but i think not

I think it should be considered a health bar for at least the bosses (like one on top of the screen, above or below the item slots), though some may disagree cause u can pretty much guess theyr health by theyr changes in attacks and level of difficulty in battle.
I think its also important to consider a change in the players health. Health bars all squeezed together to a point where u can't even tell exactly how much health u have? Really??
I know that putting 40, 50 health bars in the bottom and left screen isnt the solution, but here's my suggestion. Theres a max of 20 health bars on left screen, so put a max of 20 bars on bottom screen too. If u have more than 20 health bars the red ones turn green (ex.: if u have 25 health u have 5 green bars and 15 red, seeing as the green ones disappear first, turning red, and then the red ones). Now u have a max of 40 health bars in the space of 20. But say u have over 40 health. Np, create blue bars now. Now u have the blue ones that are first to go, then green, then red.
This of course is only my opinion.

i only have 1 single question about health bars
why the f- does the first hit take 50% of you health away if atacked by diferent type than your armor protection
(wearing dread skelly and bein hit by piercing , 50% health lost)
(wearing gray feather armor, bein hit by shadow , 50% health lost)
you get the idea and im sure im not the only one who have noticed that dmgs are not constant on player vs monsters you will take 3 hits from a zombies with a full bar , first hit remove 50% , second hit remove a bunch of bars , third hit remove 1 or 1 and half bar, why does that happen?

health bar with numbers on knights, i dont care about the monsters really.
but that thing bugged, the party members health, kinda bugs me. you grab a vita like +15 and while you have about 5 bars taken by damage the bars in the left still all full.
also that detail about being able to have 0.75 bar (showed as 1) and you cant revive an ally... @_@

Damage is constant. That 1 bar you sometimes lose is due to your Last Stand kicking in, which prevents a single hit taking your health from above 1 heart left to 0. As long as you have more than one bar left of heatlh, you'll usually be able to take another hit that will bring you back down to one bar.
And Psychodestroyer..... you seemed so...incoherent back then. :O

Having 40+ health bars is pointless. Depending upon your armor, you can take about 4 - 8 hits before your Knight gets knocked out. Why not just simplify the health into just 4 - 8 bars of HP. Less mess on the HUD = better.

Oh my... I didn't realize that the post I was referencing was from 2 years ago.
/e snips his comment.

Seriously your only T2 but from the comments you seem like your T3.
I started playing now after 3 years and now for some reason my character only has like 5 health bars. I have my 5 star armour equipped but my knight still has like no health
PLZ HALP

You sure you're not playing in T1 levels? A health reduction is incurred for using higher tiered armor on the easier levels.

You necroed a suggestion for something you should have put In new recruits or bug reports

Ok so the comment directly above yours wass "Read the timestamp"... like come on man, let it die. The game even has health bars now. This entire thread is just irrelevant now. If you need help go to the arsenal or general or new recruits, not just some random thread.
But some people will complain about how easy it will make it if you put it on the monsters.
And with the Knight's HP, it can only go so high, you have 5* gear which gives you a what, 5+ HP increase each, then the 15+ (is that the highest, I forget)vitapod, so they already have it covered. It can't go any higher than that.
