I'm fairly certain this has been brought up before, but I looked through about nine pages and haven't seen this reported in this part of the forum. So here goes.
It's quite simple: When an enemy is attacking and is afflicted with the stun status while they are in the middle of the animation, that enemy will instantly execute an attack (without any animation) then also continue the attack they started and execute that.
Enemy starts attack (with animation) > Gets stunned > Instant attack because of the stun (no animation) > Enemy finishes initial attack (with animation)
However, I saw something even more interesting today- this bug also effects players! If a knight gets stunned mid attack, they ALSO execute an instant attack with no animation! A friend was wielding a Divine Avenger, attacking a lumber, and used the charge attack... but didn't dodge the lumber's hit, and got a face full of tree. However, the stun bug caused him to deal out the charge attack twice- six swords flew out and one-shotted the lumber as it was pushed across the room.
The problem with this bug is that it makes the Stun status effect dangerous to use, and thus, some weapons dangerous to use (Like the Haze bomb, or some sword's charge attacks). I can imagine the bug is overlooked because Stun usually sends the affected entity flying across the room, putting them out of an effective range for the instant attack. I would love to see it fixed, though. I want to level my Haze Bomb!
I'm very sorry for bringing this out of the dregs of the forums, but this bug is still in existence, and rather than make my own post, I feel Buckdida did a stupendous job with his. Simply put: Stun causes some attacks to activate immediately. I hope we can bring enough attention to this bug to have it remedied. Again, I'm sorry for the revival post. Take care all and enjoy the weekend!
