EDIT: MOST dESCRIPTIONS ARE HERE!

before I go any further, I want to say that this is for a story I'm planning on writing, and I don't expect OOO to really implement this into the game. Although it would be nice if they did. =D

so, basically, new monsters and damage types.

damages: Blunt, energy, and light.

Monsters:

Race: Gigantes, an ancient race of massive beings, also known as Titans: Deals blunt damage, weak to energy, neutral to blunt, and resistant to light.

Golems, giant monsters of rock and stone, brought to life by unknown powers: A slow downward smash with 2 massive fists, can cause extreme knockback and stun.

Bog Beasts, strange creatues who live in swamps, marshes, and bogs, always on the lookout for a promising meal in the guise of a knight stuck in the mud: A slow downwarks slash with 2 massive claws, can cause poison.

Tundra Trolls, a race of hairy beast that prey on travelers, lost in the snow: A slow downward slash with 2 massive claws, can cause freeze.

Silver Maidens, the souls of an ancient race of female warriors who used sorcery and science to ensure that they would be able to fight after death (think frankenstein). : A slow downward smash with 2 massive fists, can cause shock.

Volcano Ogres, the much igger cousins of slag walkers. They slumber in volcanoes, and when ever one erupts, it signals that a Volcanoe Ogre has come to feed: A slow downward smash with 2 massive fists, can cause fire.

-

Race: Imps, the smaller cousins of Gremlins. Instead of creating robots, the create Devilites' office supplies.: Deals energy damage, weak to blunt, neutral to light, resistant to energy.

Constructors, a group of Imps charged with constructing the various office supplies for the Devilites: Side and downward slashes with a wrench. Also throws Screws that can cause shock.

Destructors, a group of Imps charged with the task of smashing any supplies that they find with flaws in it: Slow side and downward smashes with a massive sledgehammer. Can cause stun and massive knockback.

Infusers, a race of Imps charged with the task of using their shadowflame throwers to infuse the power of shadow into the office supplies: Foward blast with a energy flamethrower, capable of inflicting fire.

-

Race: Vegetarians, figures made of vines, leaves, and various other plant parts. Deals light damage, weak to energy, neutral to blunt, resistant to light.

Cradle Knight-traps (like Venus Fly-traps.), giant plants who have a taste for Knights.: Foward lunges, tries to bite Knight with teeth (like wolver). Stuck to ground like Polyps and Gun puppies.
*Whacko Knight-traps, can inflict stun.
*Firo Knight-trap, can inflict fire.
*Cryo KNight-trap, can inflict freeze.
*Electro Knight-trap, can inflict shock.
*Sicko Knight-traps, can inflict poison.

Ents, a group of ancient creatures charged with the task of planting new veetation after the KNights come and destroy them in the hopes of finding a crown(borrowed from LotR. You know, those tree-herders from the 2nd movie?): 2-slash combo, uses 2 long arms to slash in front that can cause stun and knockback. Can also call up to 3 lumbers for assistance. Appears solo. Maybe a miniboss, like Tortodrone.

Shrooms: Little mushroom-like monsters who enjoy attacking knights. THey tast horrible: Weak, but come in mobs. Lunges foward like jelly attack. Can also unleash spores that do various status effects. Rare drop: Shroom cap(It's a real helmet. But don't bother looking that up on the wiki. It got deleted.).

???: Spores inflict fire.
???: Spores inflict freeze.
???: Spores inflict shock.
???: Spores inflict Stun.
???: Rare spawn, can apear in the place of any Shroom. Tackle still damage, but spores heal you. Sorta like a love puppy.

(Need names for Shrooms. Use internet to look for mushrooms that are medical, poisonious, grow in cold places, grow in hot places, etc., please!)

Vealox: High-tech 4-armed serpentine warriors from... well, you'll have to read my upcoming story. the rest of these monsters in this thread are for its sequel.

Vealox Guardian: Rapid 8-hit combos with 4 long staffs*. Deals Shadow+energy+blunt+pierce damage, and can cause a weak curse. Can also throw bombs** with big radius that inflict elemental damage and has a high chance of causing strong fire. However, the bombs can also set the Guardian on fire. Can also use a tail club attack, which's damage varies, depending on what kind of tail club*** it is. Has a medium-resistance to all damge types and fire+curse.

Vealox Trooper: 4-slash combo with 2 long curved blades**** that do energy damage and can cause moderate shock. The blades can also shoot lightning out of their tips to inflict more shock. Can also fire bullets from a rapid-fire 6-shot combo gun***** (like antigua line) that deals weak energy+shadow damage and throw bombs like Vealox Guardians, only a bit less powerful. Has a low-resistance to every damage type and fire. Can also use a tail club attack, which's damage varies, depending on what kind of tail club it is.

Vealox Pilot: a weak, rapid fire 6-shot combo from each guns held in all 4 of his arms. Deals shadow+energy damage. Slightly Weak to every damage type except piercing. However, if he meets a in a Hydra Craft boss battle, he can't be harmed as he slithers toward the Hydra Craft, and will pilot it. Can also use a tail club attack, which's damage varies, depending on what kind of tail club it is.

Hydra Drone: A small space ship drone. Can be found patroling solo/in a group, or can be unleashed from a Hydra Craft's Cargo Bay. Weak to normal and blunt damage, but slightly resistant to everything else. Rapid 6-shot combo from 3 different guns****** that can cause minor shock. Inflict shadow+energy damage. Can move fast- about 1.5 times faster than the average knight.

Hydra Craft: A bigger version of a Hydra Drone. Has a medium-speed 3-shot combo******* that inflicts shadow+energy damage, and can cause curse+fire+knockback. Can convert into Hydra Turret. However, requires a Vealox Pilot to control while in flight form. Maybe another mini-boss. Moves 3X faster than the average Knight. Can also release up to 4 Hydro Drones from its cargo bay. Has high resistance to everything,.

Hydra Turret: A bigger version of a Hydra Drone in Turret form. has a slow 3 shot combo that inflict shadow+energy damage, and can cause curse+fire+knockback. Has medium resistance to everything. Maybe a phase for the Hydra Craft boss battle.

*Darklight Staffs, long, barbed indestructable poles of tough metal that have Darklight Crystals and both ends. Darklight is a type of plasma that, for some reason, is black. WHy it is will be revealed in the story most of these monsters are for. It's very important why.
**Inferno Crystals, crystalized fire. Very dangerous. Vealox Guardians and Troopers who use it must wear fire-resistant armor+helmets and to not get buned.
***All Vealox have mace tails, on which they can attack various stuff. Types of tails include:

-Mace tail, a tail with no upgrade. Deals normal and blunt damage. Can cause stun and massive knockback.
-Spiky mace tail, a mace tail with lots of spikes attached to it. Deals piercing and blunt damage. Can cause stun and massive knockback.
-Guilotine (i that how you speel it?) tail, a mace tail with a 2-4 sword/axe blades attached to it. Deals normal+piercing damage. Can cause stun and massive knockback.
-Energy tail, a mace ball infused with various chemicals and such to make is spark. Deals Elemental +energy damage. Can also cause shock and massive knockback.
-Darklight tail, a mace ball infused with Darklight. Deals shadow+energy damage. Can cause curse + massive knockback.

****Thunder blades, long curved swords that it brimming with energy that can released.
*****A Darklight blaster, a high-tech blasted that fires Darklight. There is also Darklight Rifles, Darklight Cannons, etc.
******Ionic Darklight blaster, Darklight infused with lighting. Built for shutting down enemy spacecraft to make them easy targets, but good for annoying Knights as well.
*******Darklight Cannons, massive Darklight blastes that fire a huge pulse of darklight.

I'll be uploading pictures of all the Vealox stuff if someone can tell me how to get them on here.

I'll also add the monsters' descriptions later. In the meanwhile...

What Dark Ritual?

Love the ideas and all, but for the wiki's sake and stuff, let's mKe Golems and all shadow type, Imps Elemental type, throw the slooms [back] into the jelly family, and make Vealoxes piercing.

Which would mean: Blunt is Shadow, Energy is Elemental, and light piercing.

+1

cool story, bro

@Chrono-Chaos... or should I say... BIGFOOTM?

Well, this is for a story, not for a real thing. I thought that some new damage stuff would be nice. but if the imps do do the types of damage we have now, they should do shadow, since they make shadow office equiptment for devilites.

and the Vealox... the Vealox are complicated. I think they deserve to do lots of different types of damage... and... well, it'll all be clearer once my story comes out.

I still plan on making the veggies do different damages. WHo says they have to come from Cradle? Lets just say that they're one of the Vealox's experiments.

still need 2 more kinds of monsters and names for the shrooms (not to be confuzzled with slooms. big difference.). anyone?

OMG im pretty sure some of my monster ideas coincided with yours. I would like to see golems, hydras, and other monsters to be implemented.

hydras... hmm...

hydras... hmm...

Hiyahiya
Hmmmm

Nice job, but I think these monsters need to be much simpler and less complicated. Maybe you should rename the Gigantes, because thats a copy of Greek mythology, and hydras should be renamed too. How about Giganton and Hydralion?

Blunt damage basically is

Blunt damage basically is normal damage, energy is elemental and light can remain it's own element since it's an opposite to shadow.

Here

I've got an article with ideas. http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/37363 and it should come up with my article.

I will give you permission to use my ideas in your story. I have a quite a few monsters and I think some of them would be good.

For example, Gordions and Gormaces, huge lizard headed beast that are extremely hard to defeat, and the ferocious Fenraal, a more powerful version of an Alpha Wolver.

Don't forget the Likwids, members of the slime family that can swallow you up? Or the Destroyer, a powerful monster that can destroy you with its lazer or crush you with its powerful arms?

Anyway, for the shrooms, why don't you have a look at a web page on mushrooms? i found some good ones:

Enokitake mushrooms are a japanese mushroom that can be also called the winter mushroom. Winter. Freeze. So why don't you call it an Enoki?

Boletus mushrooms appear above ground during the summer season. Summer. Fire. So why don't you call it a Boletu?

Pleurotus mushrooms can paralyze with their toxins. Paralyze. Stun. So why don't you call it a Plutus?

Shock was a tricky one. But I found it anyway. I was reading an article one day: Lightning makes mushrooms multiply: A crop called the Shiitake mushroom was said to double the amount of growth speed when hit with an electrical charge. Electricity. Shock. So why don't you call it a Shitika? Or something else? I was going to name it a Shiti, although that sounds terribly rude. :D

Rare mushroom, huh? Easy peasy. One of the worlds rarest mushroom is called the Devils Star. So why don't you call it the Devista?

By the way, I am not an expert on mushrooms. Not at all. I actually hate eating mushrooms, except for the Enokitake type. Anyway, i hope I helped with your story.

:D

Mr Lalo thinks that

Mr Lalo thinks that Superderpbro is right and you should be more creative with the damages.
Mr Lalo is also very lazy and didnt read the whole thread, but i guess Mr Lalo agrees with it.
You should put some titles to it like you now something like THIS so Mr Lalo reads it all.

Awsome ideas: Enemies weak to

Awsome ideas:
Enemies weak to normal damage is a great idea. It would make normal damage weapons not as useless.

Quick question though: what is light damage?
Could you also make some enemies that can cause sleep or curse too?

...too bad OOO is probably going to be too lazy to make these awesome creatures.

light would be like... the

light would be like... the opposite of shadow damage, I gues.. :/

Sleep/curse? lemee think... No more new Vealox stuff; they're already to powerful. hmm...

Well, a bunch of the Vealox can cause curse already. but...

Slizards: A race of reptilian-like humanoids that can use magic. They have tough scales on their backside, but their bellies arre soft and unprotected, covered only by their robes. THere are only one race of them (like, no seperate status slizards.). Attacks inclide:

Explosion: A beam shines from the Slizards staff. WHere it lands causes an explosion. Can cause status depending color of explosion (red for fire, green for poison, etc. cannot cause sleep/curse). Deals shadow+energy+elemental damage.

Staff whack: Whacks Knight with staff. Can cause minor stun, deals normal+shadow damage.

Staff Jab: Jabs at Knight with staff. Can cause minor stuff+knockback. Deals normal+shadow damage.

Rune of healing: Healing rune appears in midair. All who step inside, Knights of monster (save for the Slizard) fall asleep for a short while. This can heal you, but can leave you open to attack. Deal no damage.

Rune of Cursing: Cursing rune appears in midair. All Knights who step inside get cursed. Can deal minor shadow damage.

^^^good enough?

No problem, Lordofnecromancers. Like your ideas. If you need any ideas or anything I'd be happy to help.

First post was way too long (as was everything after it), but skimming through, I did see and like the idea of a Venus-Fly-Trap enemy. Can't help but feel as though it would need to be rather large, though, in order to be able to reach knights that would shoot at it. Most of the rest of that stuff does not sound pretty; I very much enjoy the cartoony feel of most of the enemies in the game and wonder if adding things like big huge trolls would spoil that sense of cuteness with most of the things that I am hacking through or dismantling.

no point

there not gonn lsten to this. u have to remeber, monster fmilies are perfectkly balanced to damage, so its not gonna be changed or else the whole system will be thrown out of whack. Something that can be done is coming up with new monsters, for example, come up witha new monster for the beast fsmily, as there are only wolvers and chromalsiks rite now.
