I prefer to play with a Wii Remote myself.

It's pretty easy to set up if you have a bluetooth enabled. Unfortunately, I wouldn't know how to set it up for you people on Windows machines because I'm on a Linux machine myself. wminput is what I simply used in my GNOME Terminal. Accuracy is a bit of an issue with the IR sensor. I had a bit of trouble closing the menu that I previously opened with boost. I'm only wondering how this would perform in an actual depth of clockworks. Otherwise, the Wii Remote plays flawlessly within Spiral Knights. If you wish to get this working yourself, I can elaborate further for you.

I still think you guys are silly for choosing Xbox/PSX controllers though. :P

:o That's pretty cool.

Maybe SEGA might publish SK on the Wii since it's controls work so well with it... lol

I just want something like the Nunchuck so I can gunsling properly since I absolutely suck at using WASD keys to move.

Plain ol' mouse and keyboard for me.

@Blanky:
Actually, they're not really all that well. If I had to say, the controls are quite rudimentary. If you notice in the video, I was having trouble closing the window (for a second in the video) I had previously opened up with boost because of the IR Sensor's/Mouse sensitivity (not to mention, with my jittery hand, that made matters worse). I could tone down my mouse movement sensitivity, but that may not change much.

@Myllakka:
Accuracy can be an issue in this, especially with gunslingers. I had trouble aiming my clip shots from the various guns I had in my arsenal (Tested in the training hall). Then again, I had analog movement as well as D-Pad movement which didn't work well together for movement and attacking.

Controls can be modified however seen fit. I was just using [what I consider to be] poor controls at the time. I should have been using the Analog control for facing directions and the D-Pad for movement. Using the IR sensor for facing direction (while definitely appears cool at first), doesn't really play well in combat unless you get used to it.

I haven't tried my PS2 controller on Spiral Knights, but shouldn't the character movement have 360-degree of motion?

@Myllakka Some people use a split control scheme, using a controller in their left hand for movement and various buttons, and their mouse in their right hand for aiming, firing, probably shielding too.

xD This is really cool. I own a wii. I'd rather play with Gamecube controller. :) But, really cool video. It looks like when you pointed it at the screen, it moved pretty smoothly.
