I have some suggestions for you.

1. Allow substitutes in last minute emergencies.
2. Do group stages in the World Cup finals in December 2012. Can make the tournament last the whole month.

AFK might be interested in joining, but we had issues lately. I'll keep in touch.

I too, can play better if I am rich and afford myself epic specs for gaming. What about the players that can't show case their natural reflexes due to the lack of servers in their region? The odds are stacked not only on you.

Teams would fight each other twice? First round everyone has to select EU servers, and then US.... but how would we check no one is cheating.

Or at least separate EU and US, then the winners of each region fight each other with those rules, but where do i put mixed teams...

@Juances It is my understanding that any given match (or run for that matter) is only on one server, there can't be players in different servers in the same match (someone correct me if I'm wrong). At least in the guild team tab the server is listed below each team, and when I have EU selected as server I am put on a separate team after each match.

One match on each server would be fair, but what if each team wins one match?

There's not really a smooth way to run this on SK.

For most of my guild you might notice ive been inactive for the past 5-7 days this is due to end before the 1 st game so i will be able to play. Atm i can only acess the forums and can't play the game. oh, and for the tournament can i suggest we have a game on a 3 base map and on 6 base map because some teams may be better and worse at each one.

PvP in this game is horribly unbalanced.

Everyone in the tournament will be some pretentious knight with Vog Cub/Mercurial mail with a Gran Faust/Final Flourish/Acheron/Polaris/Sentenza as a Striker, with LOL MAXIMUM SUPER OMEGA UNIQUE VARIANTS PURCHASED WITH 599 USD using the lag exploit. As for everyone else? They all die instantly. No fun allowed whatsoever. I don't care what the prize is. It could be 6 Billion dollars for all I care. I'd rather sell my soul for a sandwich than deal with the rage-inducing horrors of Lockdown. Because only the dead know peace from this evil.

No offense but you're just wasting your time here OP. Good luck if you manage to arrange all of this though, and enjoy your pointless, autistic grindfest. Let's hope the lot of you don't go insane while playing this garbage.

Opinions and information acknowledged. You may very well be right in your predictions of what people will be consisted of mainly. Keep in mind however this spans more than just Tier 3 matches and is intended for anyone that wants to take part. Sure, Tier 3 matches will be a kill and lag fest probably, but for other Tiers it will probably produce some level of entertainment rather than rage.

If they want to join they should know what to expect, as considering this is a tournament-based situation there are going to be some difficult opponents. I believe you're at that point where you don't see the need or reasoning behind going to any extra length of trouble for anything that ends in giving anything to Three Rings, and that's fine. As I said your opinions and information have been acknowledged.

I don't think you're a troll, you're just an honest knight trying to save others from something you view as either pointless or a waste of time. When it boils down to it though, it's their choice. Let 'em do as they please, and if they find enjoyment in both spam killing weaker players or handing over money for OOO, then more power to them.

Since you don't want anything to do with it I'd say we can leave it at that.

@Yeepyjeepyjr: I'll say to you what I said to the others, I'm not going to be able to finalize the roster until a couple of days prior, as life has a tendency to throw a curve ball now and then and I'd rather have it be for sure than be making changes every few days.

I never really had the pure intention of derailing or breaking this thread, I felt like sharing a bit of the truth. PvP is a great idea, but alas, it's also the hardest element to both implement and balance. I am aware that people are entitled to their own opinions and decisions, if you want to participate in this tournament then that's fine. I really like this game, don't get me wrong. But it seems that Three Rings keeps going one step forward and two steps back. Sure, they give us a tiny bit of new content, they fix glitches right away, they even work on the game's balance sometimes, and even make amazing Crystal Energy sales that we all enjoy. But there's usually a few things that Three Rings does to the game that just isn't right. They really need to work on the game's balance, modify many of their weapons and armor, and add a few extra crafting paths to some of their items. When the latest update came out I had a small bit of hope that Three Rings was starting to care about the game's balance. But the one huge mistake that killed most of the good in this update was the fact that they made the brandishes literally the master race of all swords. They didn't need to buff the brandish series. And what's worse, they're planning on turning Argent Peacemaker and Sentenza into pure damage guns. If that happens, there would really be no point in using not only the Alchemer series, but many other guns as well. Everyone would just grab their brandish and go "Argent Peacemaker for Vanaduke, Sentenza for Jelly King" and there would be absolutely no point in using anything else when you can just touch an overpowered weapon and not care at all. Many weapons and armors in this game need changes, fixes, revamps and modifications. Some weapons have yet to be invented yet. But in due time, I'm sure Three Rings will see the truth at hand and do their best to please the fanbase while fixing the game's balance.

Anyways, I hope you see what I'm getting at and understand how I feel about this game. Let's not get off-topic here. I'll depart this thread and let you continue to rally up some knights for your tournament. In the meantime, I'll spend some time thinking of good ideas for the game's balance in the hopes of someone important actually reading and considering my suggestions. Sorry to have wasted your time, have a nice day, etc. etc.

Questions:
Will there be YouTube view of LD finals or YouTube vids of some part of the competition?
What would happen if someone were to quit during a match for some reason?
Is there a certain way to make sure you have the correct two guilds facing each other when picking guild match?

@Renpartycat They buffed the brandish charge at the expense of damage. The brandish lines now do 10% less damage then before. (pre-patch: first swing - 105 DMG D16 RJP against T2 jellies; Post-patch: first swing - 94 DMG against T2 jellies. Both tested with Level 10 Voltedge at no damage bonus.)
