here's my idea of having a gun/sword hybrid equipment loadout:

loadout 1:
helm: skolver cap
armour: skolver coat
shield: swiftstrike buckler
trinkets: double elite trueshot
***with these equips I'll be able to have very high damage bonus on both swords and guns, as well as a high ASI bonus

weapons:
nova driver (ASI med)
umbra driver (ASI med) /biohazard
gran faust / divine avenger / nightblade / elemental brandish
Barb thorn blade / final flourish
***for weapon3, i'd prefer to take a shadow sword because the nova driver is already a great weapon against constructs and undead. while the shadow guns aren't as good against the shadow weak enemies

loadout 2:
helm: nameless hat
armour: skolver coat
shield: barb thorn shield
trinkets double elite trueshot
*Still have the same damage bonus as loadout 1 but sacrificed a level of ASI bonus (for guns). however i'll have a way better shield AND spread out defenses (which would be better as a general set)*

weapons: same as loadout 1

What are your opinions on both of the sets? Is there suggestion to make either one better? and which is the better loadout?
Thanks!!

sounds good

I've never done such a set, but it seems that you're thinking of all the right things, and that you've settled on a nice solution. Your choices are pretty offensively oriented, in that you're focusing on the offensive bonuses rather than damage types. If you find yourself dying a lot, then consider swapping out some offense for better defense --- for example, Grey Owlite Shield. In both loadouts, you could exchange Nameless for Justifier (or even Shadowsun), and Skolver for Snarbolax (or Vog Cub), to get different damage protections in there, without even penalizing your offense.

Be careful with Swiftstrike

If you think you're going to be in melee at all in t3, don't take Swiftstrike. I say this as an exclusive Swifty user. Monster melee attacks will either leave it with a sliver of health left, or break it in one hit, which is not something you can really afford as a swordsman. If you're gunning all the time like I do, though, go for it, as it'll definitely block a single projectile and is serviceable for bumping, and has that sexy High ASI boost.
