Usual gunslinger demands (Important yet ignored)

- 2* Version of gunslinger set
- Shield for gunners
- Shadowlair armor like Snarbolax,Mercurial Demo etc
- Give Fire resistance on nameless like other class element armors : Vog cub,Volcanic Demo
- Fix lathency/Hit register issues in lockdown
- Buff shadowsun damage bonus to medium and drop double negative resistance to 1 so gunners can counter it with UV's like the other classes.
The suggestions we make perfectly logical and balanced so why on earth devs keep ignoring ?

Psh no sheild. Not really worth it. I'd like the peircing/elemental gunslingers to be separate.

While I don't particularly label myself cynical, it would seem that they legitimately don't give a Krogmo Coin for Gunslingers. I figure that they have this sort of thought pattern:
"Swords do more damage than guns, have many sets that give better stats, Gunslinger armor probably gives more negatives than positives and starts at 3* so you pretty much have to buy UVs, don't have their own shields or Shadow Lair gear, AP/Sent do split damage and so are weak on practically every enemy....but guns make you nearly impossible to hit in PvE".
But as for PvP...I have no idea what they're thinking. Guns suck on an epic level unless you're using the most annoying gun in the game AKA Polaris, or you're using an AP/Sent vs a Bomber.
Anyway, +1 to this, although I kinda doubt it'll make much difference.

Your title contradicts itself. Usual and important.
But anyway, I agree with only 1, 2, and 6.
1: It's a pain to start out as gunner. I showed SK to my friend and told her about the weapons she could use, then she decided she wanted to be a gunner, but I had to tell her that you couldn't start off as a gunner due to the starting gunner armor being 3*.
2: A shield for bombs is more important than that IMO, but this is still a valid issue. You have Swiftstrike for guns, though I understand that it's poop for defending in T3.
3: Not really necessary, but I imagine it does suck that gunners have nothing to show off, while Sword/Bombers get SL gear to show off that actually can be helpful.
4: Not as important as fire resist is mostly important for only FSC and the only time I ever get burned is when I lag and walk into shadow fire... and I'm a sword/bomb hybrid. :(
5: Doesn't affect that many guns as far as I've tried, except for the Autogun line. And why would you even be using a gun that renders you immobile in Lockdown anyway?
6: The usual complaint. Swordies get Skolver and Snarby for medium damage boost a piece. Bombies get Mad Bomber for medium damage bonus a piece. Gunner falls behind.

So its the widely held belief that OOO doesn't care about gunners? I have more faith in them then that...besides... werent they trying to fix up the AP and setz? >.>
I think they do care, but they have to deal with sooo much that it makes it hard to do it... i think that there may be a time when the guns will get massive updates, and the swords will be lacking...

Yeah, I loved it when Severage came and backed my statement up.
And just to be clear, not all swords are powerful. Only a few that they seem to like above the others. For instance, Brandish was reasonably fine but they upgraded for some reason and never bothered with Cutter, Troika and to a lesser extent, the fire and stun flourish which I've never seen before.

3&4) SL maybe matters not but frr on nameless something i'd like to see for the sake of balance(I'm sure many will think the same)
5) I do not use autogun in LD :o(polaris callahan umbra(bio if its crowded game) and magma)
hit register issue = even tho you have full bar connection your bullets connects you see the hit and impact animation but your opponent takes no damage happens alot to me and my fellow gunner friends.

Certainly not all swords are powerful, but it's not exactly the swords themselves that count as much. Sword-related gear is, in most cases, literally TWICE as useful as Gunner's armor.
PS: Flamberge/Whatever stun flourish is named aren't as good as Final; according to many people. I ended up going with Final 'cause everyone I knew recommended it. It just so happened that when Lockdown came out it was a very useful tool.

Let me educate you in the typical views of these forums:
1)Suggestions forum gets very little attention, especially compared to the other forums (I believe the last Admin post in this section was like..7 months ago).
2)Gunners get more hate than any other "class" (Few accessories, bad gear, split-damage weapons).
3)AP/Sent upgrade to full elemental/shadow has apparently been "Postponed until further notice" (Nick's thread was about 2 1/2 months ago).
4)Guild Halls are neglected (Until recently, now it seems that Devs have been more interested in them).
5)Lockdown is broken (Especially concerning Recons).
I'm sure I missed some but those are the typical things people get in their minds after using this forum and such. It doesn't really matter how MUCH they have to deal with, 3 months is a long time to fix a single gun-line, and a less-anticipated bomb line. Obviously it's not representative of all the people here, but many people get discouraged using this forum because the apparent favoritism the other forums get compared to it.
All we have is speculation that they don't want the obligation of replying to most threads here, so they don't reply to anything. Which, doesn't make any sense, since they reply to Gremlin Chatter more often, which is much less important as far as the game is concerned.
Me, I'm just too stubborn to leave.
Anyway, off-topic discussion there...on-topic: If they are worried about making guns too powerful, then they sure as heck did a fine job of it. Gunners are a nuisance now, because all anyone ever uses is that annoying Polaris weapon. Needle-weapons and Antigua-lines should be the best imo.

Gunners have Swifty, which is a massive bonus. What shield is there for bombers?
Main thing gunners need, more than anythin' else, is 2* armour; that's the reason that noobly gunners get sick of tryin' to gunsling and just convert to wolver.

This game is still very young compared to a lot of mmo's (many of which still haven't fixed all their bugs) so give them time, they are doing a great job.

Actual, I think crossproduct is right. If OOO cared, this would be fixed by now. I've seen this issue discussed several times now, and surely OOO has too.

@ Well Melisan, the admins don't seem to be looking at this part of the forum at all whatsoever. For instance, 3 pages away, some guy says Lockdown stinks and calls people masochistic furfags with dildoes. I would think that something would have been done about this guy or that post for that matter, but apparently not. Such things only confirm my belief that they really don't read these at all.
And just to compare, they would rather post on topics pertaining to whether Bechamel is a gay man or a woman then give a rat's butt on the topics here. Like honestly, if they really aren't going to look at these at all they should just save us some time and remove the suggestions category

Well Melisan, let me ask this, have you every posted on any other forum? Even free ones? Typically they will very quickly remove slanderous posts but here they just go unpunished. If they were reading these posts, they would probably have realized that furfag is offensive and I know you may think that I'm old-fasioned or something, but I would probably remove that guy's post from the forum. Instead, nothing. There's no evidence at all, that they have bothered maintaining this side of the forum

I post in many forums and some posts fly below the radar. We are not talking about maintaining the site; we are talking about the implementation of suggestions posted in a section of this forum. I am also "old fashioned" and would take a much harsher line with the people who use language such as you pointed out :)

I was referring to what many people believe when they first arrive on these forums....I didn't say "Because *I* SAID so, Admins don't like this forum".
I agree that they're doing a great job, but many companies who seemingly neglect their playerbases' suggestions (Even if they truly don't) eventually lose their playerbases' suggestions.
While I don't think we should incessantly say "Devs don't care, they're not doing anything", I also don't think we should make them really lax and say "Oh, don't bother them or make suggestions, because they're already trying their hardest." Maybe when they finally read these forums in-depth like they do Gremlin Chatter, they'll feel urged to take some of these suggestions seriously and into consideration.

To be contrary, as a bomb/sword user I envy gunners and their ability to "walk backwards and shoot".

I really like the idea of making a 2* Gunner set -- being a prerequisite for the rest of the line or merely an introduction set for an aspiring gunner. And some more options with the 5* gunner armor.
I think if OOO maybe added a gun from Snarby tokens, or if they make another tier 1 boss, add some options for newbies so they can pick their role! I'd think its safe to say a lot of newbies buy the "free stuff" with tokens, but they are limited to a bomb or sword from snarby tokens... Where's the gun? :D
I know the ideas been mentioned too, but maybe the Snarby gun option could be a crossbow? 2*-5* piercing (or maybe have the crossbow start out normal, but upgrade to either a normal or pierce line) "gun" with a small clip (1 or 2 shots before reload). Maybe have the crossbow do a slight knockback or the ability to hit two targets (a real pierce weapon so to speak). The charge could pierce targets in a line.
I don't have any ideas for a name, but all in all, if there was maybe an option to get a 2* gun via tokens just to let people know (hey, you can gun, use a sword or bomb).

Yeah, these are simple yet very important things that need to be implemented.
But OOO doesn't seem to care.
Besides, did anyone complain about Antigua and Sentenza? OOO says that they didn't fill a niche, and Sentenza was indeed only for PvP. But lots of people liked using Antigua in FSC.
And they think that RSS doesn't fit a niche? Seriously?

The devs must like swords to have things continue this way, lol.

i actually really admire that crossbow idea for a snarby gun. the end result would be an awesome jet black slender crossbow, with glowing red tip, and a red bolt waiting to be fired, it should be a 1 or 2 shot clip, and i love the real piercing idea

Sure I could see how bombers could use a shield. Mind you that the Swiftstrike Buckler is not a gunslinger shield since swordsmen can also reap the benefits of the High ASI bonus, while they alone can only benefit from the Barbarous Thorn Shield leaving the last 2 classes in the dust DPS wise

As an avid gunner I'm all for another brand new spanking gun, but Snarby has more than enough equips if you ask me and the last thing we need is another OP equip based on the same boss again but a fantastic idea with the crossbow I think if you scratch the snarby part.

I like the fire resistance but its not very justified since its not a fire themed armor, just overall elemental but I don't mind

Assuming said shield has a damage bonus like all the others that would make it possible for a bomber to get the maximum Damage AND Recharge/Speed bonuses without having to use Trinkets, no other "class" can do that because no class has an equivalent to the Mad Bomber set

The full set is like what, 3-4 more seconds of effect? I've yet to be in a situation where that makes or breaks my survival, especially given you die in a few hits in T3 regardless.
Yeah, I agree it needs something. The distance just... isn't enough to compensate. Yeah, we can shoot from range before you even get here, but there is just one thing... Sword charges do the stuff better. Have you ever seen CTR max Divine Avenger? That is something so evil...
And why aren't we getting gun upgrade? Because so much people use "Mr. I fly and blow up, causing shock, nice damage and good knockback." Gunners need more balanced sets, and even I can see that.

Distance isnt that much of advantage since most of the mobs either have a some sort of gap closer or have decent range attacks not to mention not many kiting option else then knockbacks and stun which highly unrelighable.

I agree especially with the Shadowsun buff and the 2* gunner set (even if it's too late for me) even if that hat makes your head like a giant egg.

Make shadowsun medium instead of low damage bonus, all that needs to be done to it in my opinion. If you get rid of any of the negative statuses, get rid of the poison b/c shadow snarb, some might want a pierce def piece in there but honestly I would rather take deadshot.

Regalya: OOO does pay attention to what goes on in the suggestions forum. I was the one that pointed out the lack of gremlins that cause status effects. Now we have the gremlin knockers.
The problem is that a lot of the ideas are based upon gut reactions without any foresight into how it will change the future of the game. Developers have to balance changing a piece of equipment to resolve issues without completely alienating people who were fine with the original version. The Polaris is an example of this conundrum. When changes are made, they need to be long lasting. Constantly changing things only causes players to quit in frustration because nothing is stable.
Gunners don't get hit that often so there has to be some element of risk involved when you specialize in guns. You can't simply add Fire resistance to the Nameless set and expect everything to be okay. It would make gunners too hard to kill. Sword and bomb can still die even with status resistances because they get hit a lot.

A lot of MMOs (at least the few I know) constantly nerf and buff things, then nerf them again, then buff them again. It's part of playing a game where things are subjected to be changed. It certainly doesn't make people quit, or it hasn't.
I would rather have the devs pay attention and work on changing things one way or the other (Like the Pepperbox, they removed the bug then nerfed it adding knockback when they thought adding knockback would help). I would rather them do that than completely ignore us. Now being ignored is what someone should quit over.

So we just off-set the whole gunners can survive the best by making them have crap defenses?
What about swordsman? They are supposed to have the most damage. We don't off-set that at all by giving them crap damage bonuses. In fact, we give them a medium damage bonus shield, medium damage bonus armor, heck, even those giant striker buffs to swords. I know ASI exists, but ASI exists in equal given amounts on both gunner and swordsman gear. Not damage bonus, which is part of damage.
The whole goal is that we are supposed to be hard to kill. In Lockdown, adding fire resistance to Nameless is not a game changer. In PvE, not having fire resistance in some situations (FSC, there's also some fire in OCH) can make our purpose not as... purposeful.
Luckily the devs do not ignore us, and they added a positive fire resistance piece (Perfect Seerus Mask). Now we just need to focus on the other areas that need balancing.
+1 to gun changes.

Alchemystic those suggestions made to bring balance i assure you none of them give edge to gunslingers over other classes.
Range does get less hit thats true but your damage output 'lower' in both direct dmg and area of effect wise compare bombers and swords and when you get hit it WILL hurt you more than others while other classes with their "regular" loadouts takes it like a man.
Also range isnt fool proof monsters have range attacks and gap closers in t3 most of their heavy attacks does area of effect or range projectiles lol
In pvp range pretty much useless even a handicap for gunners your kiting options limited either knockbackign guns or trying to outrun the mobs and most important part of it in majority of content you're cramped with monsters in tight areas it puts you same position with swords and gunners.
Basicly we're not even glass cannons we're bloody cannon fodders.
The-Rawrcake agree but mask requires expansion while Vog cub and Volcanic demo helm doesnt.

Sure we can buff the raw damage, but that is just a little ridiculous. They are fine and viable just the way they are now.
Dealing around 150 pet shot isn't terrible. With a good ASI, you can finish off a clip just as fast as an ASI GF / DA can finish off. You deal about 6x150 ish damage which is 900 ish, while the GF / DA deal roughly 1,000 (Whenever I ask a DA / GF user with damage bonus what they do with GF / DA, they always tell me 500 per hit).
Sure there are better DPS swords than DA / GF, but its more comparible to them.

And the only thing my thread has in common with this thread is that there should be a gunner armor that starts at 2 stars.
