So haven is pretty barren, and guild halls may be taking over soon so I had an idea. When night falls (which it never really does on haven) where do knights go to rest? Well they just set there in a patch of soil and disappear for awhile. I Was thinking what if the knights had an INN!
Updated!
The Inn would be an area within the commons and would service as an area for players to gather parties before going into the clockworks, join guilds, and meet new people; in essence a new social hub.
Within the Inn would be a bar/inn keep-NPC (this would be a knight not a stranger) who would allow you to rent out rooms or strike up a conversation. There would also be a chef working in a window aside the barkeep (he would be a stranger) who would take different mixtures of materials to make you a meal which would be eaten on the spot and give a limited time buff. Players would have an access to go into the clockworks with a party from the Inn.
Amongst the bar would be sociable NPCs snipes, strangers, gremlins, knights. Scattered at the bar and sitting at tables maybe leaning against the wall, each npc would be able to tell you their own chronicles from the clockworks (this would service to improve spiral knights lore). Their would also be empty tables with interactable seating and tables. A band would be present consistently playing music for the customers enjoyment.
In addition their would be a sauna room, to access the room. Players would need a sauna key which they purchase for a certain amount of crowns from the barkeep. The sauna is a room flooded with mist energy and gives you a x1.5 or maybe a x2 boost to your mist container.
Give me your thoughts!
this idea doesnt sound half bad! it actually seems kind of heartwarming. it would be complete with the knights favourite beverage brewers, removed directly from the Skylark's cantina! (which presumably surprisingly stayed intact) it would be a little piece of spiral home . also the room idea sounds nice, but i think youd need a vast amount of rooms to have competeable bidding on them~ the mist tanks would be pretty nice, although they would need to have limited purchase intervals~ great for new players though . and i like the seats idea, it would be extra fun if a spiral waitress came to your table and took your order, in which you could then pay a petty fee of say 10 crowns to see your character scarfing down a plate of food , and drinks would be available at the bar ... (for extra comic effect, buying a drink could have a chance of inflicting a random status effect)
