I've mad a brief mention of the commons before but I think it deserves its own place in haven for reals.

Its really rather simple, it would be a new area across from the bazaar on the other side of haven (that's to the right of the auction house) upon entry there would be three new zones to enter.

The Inn

This is still a WIP its an area where new knights without guildies or too many friends can go to socialize and re cooperate after delving into the clockworks.

The Guild Hall

For a long time players have cried out for a normal entry way and customization options for the guild hall. Well guildhalls would now be accessible via a new gate in the commons and would bring you directly to your guildhall!

The Dorms

Knights need a place to call their own so why not have a building where knights can go into their own private customizable rooms where they can display their artifacts and socialize with close friends without interruption from others.

+1 to this...The Inn idea is commendable but still needs a bit of work; The Dorms idea isn't bad...although I think if the GH had a visiting system then it wouldn't be necessary.

i once dreampt about there being houses somewhere in haven so i really want them but do have to pay to get one probobly gonna be yes cause free homes, when do u see that ever happen

about the dorms

yea they were kind of a last minute idea, but it would be nice to have a place to speak with friends within the game without interruption. I've considered that the room you rent out at the inn could service as this but the fact that its mist ventilated might make an unstable room cost due to the fact of people inviting friends into a room they bought cheap, while if you raise the price of a room you leave out people who are going solo.

So perhaps you could purchase a room in the inn and specify the size and player capacity which would raise the price.

You getting tricky, sneaky foxes. Naming things in diffrent way, new way to smuggle silly ideas into game?

While i like guildhalls, not sure about inn, seems bit pointless to me, houses are most silly thing ever appeard in forums.

Ill dont remember where there was very accurate opinion about bringing houses to SK, but it involved words: we are knights, something about little girls sandboxes and ill personally add a part bout knights are meant to fight not doing house duties.

I've never heard of any houses in spiral knights, tovvok suggested the dorms because it is much like the apartment system in phantasy star universe which I agree with and wouldn't be such a terrible thing. But it seems it serves no purpose that a guildhall couldn't; other than to hold uninterrupted conversations, which isn't too big. But if you consider spiral knights have the ability to sleep when idle, why not give them a place to sleep, they obviously have a limited stamina of sorts with energy; they aren't endlessly fighting killing machines.
