Instead of the team based gameplay of Lockdown, this mode would be a free-for-all. 4-6 players can play in one game. There would be a single capture point, except it won't be a capture point. A player must be the only one inside the circle (which would be placed directly in the center of the map) and accumulate 100 points. Unlike Lockdown, points should be gained at a rate of 3 seconds instead of 5. Respawn time should remain at a constant 10 seconds instead of varying from time to time. Gear should be the same as it is in PvE. For extra fun, status traps and 4 monster spawns should be placed around the center point (status inflicting greavers would be best).
New PvP mode: King of the Hill
"Gear should be the same as it is in PvE."
The problem with this is that in 1v1s guns would win every time. But, since it is KotH, most likely there will be very few 1v1s; and status bombs would have to be defeated by other guns. So, guns would finally be useful in PvP (Besides that stupid Trollaris), which I certainly don't mind.
Team KotH would be neat too..just because I like teams; more cooperative.
Also, on top of what Skold said, using Greavers would be a bad idea IMO, because that'd even further increase incentive to ONLY use FFs/BTBs in PvP.

Yea I just thought adding monster spawns might be good for preventing the current "king of the hill" from sitting there too comfortably while everyone else is dead, but I like skold's moving control point suggestion better.
Do you want to make this minigame like Runescape Castle War?
30 golden trojan spawns around the hill, make us wear civillian proto gear (no weps or shield)
trojan spawns shouldnt have to wait in order to spawn more, thus making the game end when the client is too full of goddamn trojans ... literally
Monster spawns instantly reduce the PvP action and cause King Krogmo to lose revenue. Last thing monsters attending the arena want to see is their own kind being slaughtered by knights again when they already get to see that in the Clockworks day in and day out. The focus of Krogmo's Coliseum is to have knights attack other knights and only other knights for the sake of fame, glory, and of course, fortune.
However, I do enjoy the idea of KotH gaming in SK. So I won't say that this should be totally disregarded.
Some ideas for improving the game without requirement of incorporation of monsters:
Been a long time since I've played a game where a decent KotH system was in place... (Last I played was Metal Arms, which if you don't know what that game is, just google it.)
