Day and especially Night is complicated. Since people connect from a lot of countries, a lot of time zones. Some of them will always connect at day and another always at Night. This is a problem.
Lots of online persistent games have day / night cycles.
Usually they are faster than real world time, i.e. you might have 4 Cradle days for every 1 Earth day.
(Multiple sunset/rises every 24 hours)
I would love rain in Haven, but that's just because I always love rain. No matter where.
I would really like this, they've proved they can do it in the Memorial Mission.
Speaking of which, so glad they added a damn sword at the end so you feel you actually brought something.
But yeah, a 2/4:1 Day Night cycle would be nice, along with weather, just for some ambiance
So long as the rain isn't terribly laggy or something, like Frostbite...
Well. +1.
The rain in haven idea is interesting, but it just seems a little obscure, NtM the added lag. I like the day/night idea though, Haven does feel static, especially with the new patch. Now that they added the readyroom there's less of an incentive to actually enter Haven.

Maybe they could make different weather and day/night times in different havens?
Like it's always cloudy in haven 9, night in haven 13, or whatever.
Cue umbrellas for protecting your knight from rain.
:B
(Also, +1 for additional ambience purposes.)
i see this implemented in the future a tad further than a couple months. Havens develop weather/time independent of each other. Sunny day in Haven 2, Rainy night in haven 5 that sort of thing.
me like it a lot. i also have a suggestion for that day/nite cycle. When it rains its dark, not to dark but like twilight, so tht can substitute the night time. another option can be tht havens can be divided by time regions MORE accurate. and if u want to go to some other haven which is daytime or nighttime, thts ur choice. xD
actually there was one mission map "blades of the fallen" that had a raining animation so there is a chance that it could work but the day and night thing might not work out
Well prestige missions cycle around every day, are they individual based on location or based on server time (I expect the latter)?
Day/Night could help for those itching to do the next prestige mission as soon as possible (probably to get into a party), unless there's already a server time clock in this game I've never seen.
But for those people who experience lag in haven as it is weather and Day/Night cycles should really be optional, like a 'very high' on the graphics settings
Edit- Hey I just realised Haven has sunbeams
As much as I would love day/night sequences. This game actually needs a world to explore. Like Emberlight and Moorcroft need to look like actual towns and not just hubs. Let's see some inhabitants. But +1 for a novel idea.
I like the ideas but like most people (+2), I worry about lag (-1).
What Spookydemi said.
Expand the world first, give us eye candy later.
Maybe day for an three hours, then it takes a half hour to make twilight/dusk, and then three hours of night, and finally a half hour for dawn? And it rains every few days, and rain is replaced with snow in the winter, and there can be little open "houses" where knights can stay away from the rain! My friend Takendown is (supposedly) working on a Haven Night theme, a little remix of the normal Haven theme, so it's not always the same music. :D
reminds me of one of my favorite games on gamecube animal crossing ( yes Im a dude and I play animal crossing XD).
Animal Crossing FTW! Dont worry man you have nothing to be ashamed off. I know plenty of guys who play animal crossing myself included....friggin love that game.
But yea, give us a day and knight cycle. Maybe something even similar to the safety camp. I even wouldnt mind seeing it embedded into clockwork levels as well as an even added difficulty. I think the varient would add a little incentive to explore
When I saw rain show up in the silent legion, I mentioned incorporating it into haven to my guildies. They weren't too in to it so I didn't post it here, but I still like the idea.

Would be awesome, It would be nice to hang out in haven at night. :)

Haven is very static. When the made Haven wintery I was ecstatic. I would love to see changes to it.
And if people don't like it, allow them to turn it off/on or change it how they want. No reason that couldn't happen. I would love the wintery haven back, even now
i likee dis idea!!1oneone1!!! tri cricles chould putt it in!!!1one!!!1
This is a great idea, and especially since rain has already been implemented in SK (Mission: Blades of the Fallen) I don't see why this couldn't be a thing.
Yes, I like it. To keep MASSIVE SERVER OVERLOAD from happening, maybe every other Haven could be night, and it would alternate? Say, H1 is day and H2 is night, and it would alternate. Also, the rain would be nice too.
rain, night, day (durrrr), snow, and some other weathers exist, so it would be much of a problem. I tink.
NIGHTS AND DAYS
I SLEEP AND PLAYYY
RAINS AND TWILIGHTS
I DANCE AND SINGGGGG
+1~~
please stop bumping
day and night is gonna take up a lot of memory
this should be posssible, they made it snow before i think in the christams promos, so why not make it rain or even have cloudy days. :l
Hell Fire from the sky. That would be pretty neat.
...Or maybe a rainbow appears above the Fountain in the center of Haven every once on awhile.
...After the Hell Fire is over of course.

Not spam, i don't have any profit from it. :) And your message is offtopic.
Cant you just make rain like some sort of layer over the game, and when it rains you just add some puddles across haven. In this way it shouldnt create too much lag and when it does, you just have an option to turn off the rain layer. This should solve alot of problems, and it shouldnt be too hard to make.
If we at least we had a Day/night cycle too.
But those eye candy things can wait.
