First of all, this isn't meant to be a suggestion, don't even think about moving it.

For those who have gone to the Core, you may have noticed Vaelyn's new look. Besides looking absolutely gorgeous, she seems to be implying that OOO has considered adding Dual Wielding.

For those who are still too obsessed with missions to visit the core, here is an SS:

What do you guy's think? Is OOO just trolling us? Or are they considering to implement this often demanded idea?

My personal thoughts on dual-wielding aside, I think you may be reading too much into it. Game NPCs in general are notorious for having things that players can't; prime example: any Pokemon game. When's the last time a player could get a Lv50 Dragonite? I've seen opponents with those more than a few times in the Battle Tower.

Completely irrelevant, but in Battle Tower/Battle Subway in Pokemon, the Pokemon's levels are scaled down to 50, regardless of what level the Pokemon is, so that argument doesn't quite work. There are a few times when your argument holds true in the Pokemon world, like Lance in the original Pokemon games had some Dragonites that were under their evolve level, and Ghestis in Pokemon B/W had a Hydreigon that was under the evolution level limit.

I've only ever done the Battle Tower in Emerald, and IIRC Pokemon above the level limit were simply not permitted to enter instead of being scaled down. Nitpicking aside, you get my point.

Just because an NPC has something or can do something, does not always extend that right to the player as well. I agree that OOO is just trolling everyone who constantly whines for dual-wielding.

Another nice example of OOO trolling us in the recent update is one of the NPC's in the picture they released on their twitter. The NPC is wearing a MAGIKAT HAT.

Why Dual Wield is feasible

...and why people object to it now. Dual Wield trades off defense for offense. So that defensive power has to come from somewhere else. Right now, this defensive power compensation is missing and that's why people (especially people who solo) object to it.

There is a simple solution: encourage people to become Guardian and absorb the damage for the Dual Wielder. It's all feasible within the current SK framework. People who use full set of Guardian related armor (e.g. Heavy Plate line) will get a new ability that draws in nearby enemies (and their enmities) like how Vortex Bombs do now. While Guardian tank, the Daul Wielders can unleash a series of quick skirmishes behind the mobs.

I object to having typical mmo classes in tis game. Only because it is the lack of it that makes things interesting and unique in this game. Dps, tank, support, SK doesn't need that. We have different weapons for different playstyle already.

especially since we barely use our shields .... since we wouldn't be able to dual wield .... or could be 0.0?

What, Dual Wielding? I do that all the time.

Dread Venom combo: 1-2-3-4-Bash, switch out to Valiance (mouse wheel), BANG-BANG-Cancel, run forward, BANG-Cancel, switch into Dread Venom, 1-2-Cancel, 1-2-Cancel-Hold, take the hit from the Lumber and go careening back with an orange shield, switch out to Valiance, BANG-BANG-Cancel, watch it die, do sexy victory pose, all in less than ten seconds. ^^

Anyway! There's hardly a point to Dual Wielding when you play a fighting style that basically IS that, even though it's not. n_n I advise people to make swift use of all their weapons in every position to enemies that's optimal, like fast-paced chess, just because it looks cool! Any sap can use Faust and HIT-CANCEL-HIT-CANCEL all day like a mundane office worker typing up reports, but if you can play the way Gainax would do Spiral Knights then you're obviously an awesome person who will get an epic girlfriend (or several) and tons of money because you're just that damn good at everything and you wear a three-wolf-moon T-shirt! >:3 But of course you all already know that because none of you are st00pid or summ'at. *huggles the forums*

Besides, if you Dual-Wield, that takes away from the awesomeness that is Shield-Cancelling! It just feels... right, you know? Like how Tetris is the meaning of life? Totally, bro. Boom, headshot.
