Deadshot armor set doesn't make sense.

The increased damage against undead on the Deadshot armor set has no relation to guns despite being part of an alchemy path based around being a gunner.

I would rather have gun CTR medium on both the Deadshot Chapeau and Deadshot Mantle. It would allow for more variety while still following the theme.

I agree

I agree that the dmg undead doesn't make sense but if the bonus was switched to ctr med i dont anybody would want to use it anymore seeing as the charge for most guns kinda sucks

i would totally use that

i would totally use that think of alchemers, blitz, catalycer, and well polaris charge could save u on risky situations.

Woah woah woah woah woah

Woah woah woah woah woah woah, oatmonster, oatmonster, CTR is the best posible UV for alchemers, autoguns, catalyzer, and several other gun lines that I'm not even going to mention. This would be fairly OP compared to the current situation. I'd still like to see it though, because gunners are underpowered.

Personally...

I don't mind a universal VH Damage bonus to Undead while doing FSC...

And Handgun CTR wouldn't be that useful for me...Antiguas aren't known to be firing off charged shots a lot. Too immobile. Although, if I got that Plague Needle I've been waiting for (Autogun Ragecrafting for UVs...), CTR would be useful.

lol

2 mediums is A LOT.
Even bombs only have either low+med on volcanic or plenty of debuffs on mad set.

Mainly CTR will be useful

Mainly CTR will be useful with callahan. Its walking speed debuff will be compensated. With alchemers (Almost RSS when charged). And Autoguns ( VPB now do pushback with charge so its gonna be a nice crowd control gun....gonna make it).
@ Sev
Maybe they will do shadowsun medium on both parts...And you will get your damage bonus back...almost. Btw need to bump that Shadowsun medium thing....

@Juances:

But swords don't. Granted CTR is a different story than ASI/Damage, when talking about things that actually use Charge attacks; autoguns mainly. And I don't think anyone ever said that Deadshot wouldn't get any debuffs with an update like this. Although, Shadowsun gets debuffs and has a relatively poor damage bonus, so if they did this to Deadshot, no doubt they'd debuff pretty much everything possible. It'd be like a Chaos set for Gunners.

A Handgun CTR armor would be great

It shouldn't be Deadshot though, otherwise you're throwing out the game's DB Undead set.

@Espeonage: Sets that

@Espeonage: Sets that specialize against a certain monster type aren't supposed to come from an alchemy tree that specializes in a weapon. People who want equipment that specializes against monster families don't want to wait till the end of an alchemy path. The Chroma sets and Angelic sets specialize from the very beginning.

Compared to the Radiant Silvermail, the Deadshot Mantle only has a minor advantage in Tiers 1 and 2. In Tier 3, the Radiant Silvermail is a better choice with Poison resistance, Curse resistance, and Piercing defense. If you really want an Undead set, ask OOO to create a Radiant Silverhelm for the Drake Scale Helm alchemy tree.

@Alchemystic

How does piercing defense help when fighting Undead? Deadshot Mantle gives Shadow defense.

Just because you are fighting

Just because you are fighting Undead doesn't mean you won't run into a few monsters that do piercing on the level. The Concrete Jungle is an example of an area that has both Zombies and Slimes. The Radiant Silvermail protects against both. This versatility makes the it a far better choice than the Deadshot Mantle.

@Alchemystic:

I believe they're talking about FSC?

The only monsters that do Piercing there is (I think) the charge attack from a Slag Guard.

Is Poison useful?

Is Curse useful?

Not particularly.

@Severage: A few Oilers and

@Severage: A few Oilers and Wolvers also appear in FSC.

@Derpules: Isn't having some status resistance better than having none at all? The usefulness of these armors will always be limited since they currently focus on a damage bonus to Undead.

.

actually i prefer the Deadshot Mantle exactly how it is

NORMAL + SHADOW + CURSE
> Damage Bonus vs Undead: Medium = bombs / guns & swords

no need to change that

wouldnt mind FIRE instead of CURSE thou :P

Yep

Enough said +1.

"Isn't having some status resistance better than having none at all?"

Yes, but having Normal damage resistance instead of some near-useless status resists would be even better. And ooh, guess what! Deadshot has that. (And Curse too, if you think that's useful. . . .)

I dont care about those swordies/bombers comments, is you want to have a set like deadshot ask OOO to make it somewhere else. Why not replace it on the snarbolax set or on the angelic sets.

A set on the gunslinger alchemy line should be for gunners

How does the deadshot set specificlly benefice the gunners and doesnt to the bombers and the swordies?
