Why is our guild different from other guilds?
Well we're a guild that doesn't really focus on whether you can show off your solo skills down at the Clockworks. In fact, we care more about how well you play in a team. We don't want you dying a lot, and we don't want you to be so individualistic. We want a team effort from all players, so we don't want slackers, trolls, beggars, and the like. AFK's had many bad experiences with such members.

You may think, "we sound so serious. How can we be friendly? Well, we are a friendly bunch. We like to lay off with some funny jokes or have random parties start at the guild hall. In some cases we'll start a trivia contest with some of our friends at the garden or play some Lockdown and Blast Network no matter how much we stink. In other cases, we'll chat about all sorts of stuff related to SK and not related to SK.

And for what it's worth, I've killed Jelly King plenty of times. I hate dying so I tend to plan my attacks out, and I'm always willing to revive people!

An hour or two everyday. I'm new to the game but I have played before when SK was somewhat new. I stopped back then, due to lack of encouragement(No Guilds, friends etc.) but I guess I'm back now.

Please be specific. I'm looking for a guild that can help me along the way. Also good companionship in-game is always nice.

Tier 2. Cobalt line, but considering to change to Dusker. Slowly building up three star items.
Sword - Calibur
Handgun - Blaster
Bomb - Blast bomb
(Yeah very simple, still learning) My play style is a bit flexible but I enjoy using my sword and bombs a lot. I have no love for handguns, but they have their advantages. Thus, the consideration of changing to Dusker line.

5. What times are you most on?
Around 5pm(GMT+2), it really depends on how busy I am.

6. What is a good SK friend?
A good SK friend pushes you to do better. They look out for you and help you when they can. They won't let you slack off and take the easy route by begging(I don't like beggars). Oh and a wicked sense of humor, life is more fun when you know you have friends you can count on for a good laugh.

7. What three words best describe you?
Meticulous, wary and tactical. That's my play style. Some people might think my play style is ''cowardly'' but I like to think of it as surviving and learning weaknesses of monsters.

But my personality? Amusing, stoical and eager to learn.

1. What are your views on Spiral Knights as a game so far? (be specific, don't just say "I like it" or "I hate it". explain yourself :D)
It's very interesting. I like games that involves teamwork and SK has that. Most people I see are just run around, going all Kill Bill and dying but I encounter a few cooperating and working well together. What I don't like is going solo, just too boring. Oh and the occasional trolls. I run into them too much, thank god I'm patient.

2. Would you be willing to play this game at least once a week based on what you experienced?
Well from the looks of it, I'm not going anywhere for a good long while. So yes, I'm sure of it.

I do not swear a lot and i am mature enough to not. Fighting bosses is fun and that was my way to express the fun of it with friends. As i read before you must be 15 to join this guild, so I assume you people would be cool with me saying "A friend to kick the [crap] out of bosses with." Who am I offending? The boss? This is obviously a joke of enthusiasm for killing bosses.

This is quoted from your wikia page:

"No swearing unless it's clearly a joke intended for everyone's humour and unless it's not intended to hurt anyone (including strangers, guilds, members especially)."

I suppose from this situation you do not think I took your survey very serious. Though in all seriousness I would like to join your guild.

well, comming from a big european comunity and beeing (TF2) admin/server maintenance in said comunity. i would like to have the same thing somewhat. we had our own guild but we had not a lot of active members (TF2/l4D/CSS etc.) so i decided to look for a new guild where i can be of use (or so i hope) i'm also glad to help people with mission they can't do allone. and last a sollid base for doing vanaduke misions :)

We are friendly, but if you were kicked there was obviously a reason. We are not friendly in the sense that we allow anyone to do anything in our guild and if one of our GM's has valid reasons for kicking someone, they will be kicked. I suggest taking it up with one of our GM's.

Edit: If by "asking" you mean "clicking the invite button" and if you did it repeatedly (or if there was other cause as well), that is grounds for kicking. It's in the rules. People don't like having that notification pop up when they're in the middle of something. It gets annoying quickly and often the invite is just so that they can revive someone (which makes it doubly annoying).

Lately, I have been working to get into the end-tier content (Firestorm citadel and the Shadowlair), but I could seriously use some good companions in there. I'm looking for a guild of dedicated player who don't take themselves too seriously and who are willing to give counsels and hear suggestions.

I'm in school, so it varies a lot depending on how busy I am. It ranges from being on daily to at least once a week. (For example, right now we're about to have our school musical in less than two weeks, and so we're having rehearsal's every night and such, which prevents me from being able to play as much).

Would like to join!

Online: daily. On SK: almost daily.

3. What are you looking for in a guild? Please be specific.
Above all, to learn and expand in everything SK (and maybe even tutor). Anything helpful to the below is appreciated. (I apologize in advance for the length of this.)
~ The primary gear I have right now (see below) is good. But later, I would like to expand my collection (i.e. shadow/curse swords, armor best against shadow, etc.) to best-fit myself for any given trial.
~ Any strategies against devilites. They are very random in their defensive sidesteping and projectile attacks. Plus, most arena-type battles have them all "promoted" by the time I reach the party button (waiting long for the spikes to drop). (I'm finding the 8-2 depth missions to be much easier than the 8-1's.)
~ Group runs. I play solo most of the time, but I would like to learn more team strategies. In previous group runs, I'm usually the one reviving everyone with my own health and occasionally my own energy. (I'm more the hit-and-run strategist than berserker type.) It's fine from time to time, but I would like to not sacrifice too much while not being a downer to anyone.
~ PvP and Shadow Lair runs. I've done none of either, but would like to sometime in the future, once I'm more prepared.

4. What tier are you? (Full inspect please)
Tier 3. Right now I'm primarily crown-grinding to obtain all 5-star gear to complete all 8-2 missions.
Primary Gear:
Glacius (5), Master Blaster (4), Mighty Cobalt Armor (4), Mighty Defender (4), Mighty Cobalt Helmet (4), Mining Hat (costume)
Other Gear (no immediate plans to upgrade):
Graviton Charge (3), Toxic Vaporizer (2), Fused Demo Helm (3), Spiral Demo Suit (2)

Between 8pm-12am CST. I'm sometimes on late in the afternoon or after midnight.

Someone who is sometimes helpful and reliable, but always fair and respectful.

No need to apologize. To me, the fact that you were willing to put the time into an obviously well-thought-out application shows character and actual interest in joining. We can definitely help out with the things you mentioned. In fact, I'll give you some Devilite and Armor advice right now:

(IMPORTANT NOTE/DISCLAIMER: Ubernerd is not responsible for any injury or disease caused by following the following advice. Please consult your doctor, your doctor's brother, your mother, and that creepy homeless guy on your street before taking Ubernerd's advice.)

For Devilites, using a "toothpick" (or whatever the kids are calling 'em these days) sword (Barbarous Thorn Blade or Final Flourish) helps immensely. These swords are quick and cause you to jump forward on the last two swipes of the combo which can help you home in on fast enemies like Devilites. Plus, getting your shield up after a swipe is much faster than with any other sword type. They also deal Piercing damage, which Devilites are weak to. They work on Greavers, too.

As for the Cobalt armor, I'd seriously suggest switching to something else before investing much more into it. I know many people hate Wolver armor simply because of its popularity, but the set gives only a little less defense (nothing even noticeable for me) in exchange for a Medium Sword Damage Bonus (Skolver) or a Medium Attack Speed Increase (Vog Cub) per item. Of course, if Gunning or Bombing is more your style, I'd suggest the Gunslinger set (starts at 3*) or Spiral Demo set respectively.

Anyway, I'll pass the word along when I get on (probably later this evening or something).

Oh, and one more thing:

Do you have a good sense of humor? If not, can you at least take a joke without offense? 'Cause that's pretty much mandatory here. ;)

In regards to the Cobalt set. When a friend introduced me to SK, I wasn't sure which armor and such to go four. But when the mission system was introduced, I started going in that direction of upgrading. Especially when reaching the 8-2 missions, you get six 5-star recipes (worth a total of 150,000 crowns if bought at market value). And these recipes bind to you, so you can only sell them to a Stranger for 50 crowns each (which is insanely low). So, I made do with them.

And yes, I have a good sense of humor. I'm more into "intelligent" and "witty" humor, like science, historical & wordplay jokes. I don't care much for humor that frequently puts-down a person or group of people, but you won't see me offended by it; I'll likely just ignore it and move on. :)

Guidance, because I still don't know what I am doing really because I am very new.

4. What tier are you? (Full inspect please)
I think I am Tier 2 (I am guessing it's that because it says PvE T2 in my gear menu) and am wearing full 3* gear. I am a Gunslinger, and am progressing quite fast I think. I am on missions 6-1 and have solo'd 90% of all the missions up to this point (I hate bats, and the red devil guys much).

My current gear, if you're curious. I use a Shadowtech, and Prismatech gun, full Gunslinger, and Swiftstrike Buckler. I am working quick towards Tier 4, so hopefully by the time you even read this, I'll be started on it.

*Edit* I am a 4* shield away from T3 access.

*Edit #2* I am full 4* and have T3 access now. Looking to progress farther into the game.

*Edit #3* I am partial 5* now. I have Umbra Driver done, and my Sliversix is almost Lv.10 will be AP when I find the recipe, and grind JK for another few dozen hours :( also started a Blitz Needle because I heard it's good. Only armor piece I have 5*'d is Shadowsun Body, and I am holding out to hopefully get the Operation Crimson Hammer head piece built--if I ever find people to do it with me--but I heard it's brutal hard, and my gear might not be ready for it. I am now using 4* accessories as well, 1 for charge time, 1 for damage. I am also on Missions 8-2.

5. What times are you most on?
Late PST.

6. What is a good SK friend?
People that don't go AFK mid floor, or that are distastefully rude.

Our guild has a minimum age limit of 15....

And as I can recall from not only the TOS but also certain legal statutes that Spiral Knights itself has a minimum age limit of 13....
