Hello all!
After much thought, I have looked over the current promotion/ Rank system in guilds which is currently to me a Simple one.
Now that the game is expanding, What came to mind is, Why isn't the current promotion system in Guilds also changed?
currently it's as follows:
GUILD MASTER~
OFFICER~
VERTERAN~
MEMBER~
RECRUIT~
Now, i only pondered this , Because now that you are certified thru the Hall of Hero's, Pertaining to what tier level you are, You get a Unique Proto Crest, that you can wear proudly as an achievement to your tier certification.
Also, Now that we have a "PRESTIGE SYSTEM" that is, You are given points on the type of prestige missions that you do, And you are rewarded with either materials or recipes, So~
For a guild to really put a rank system in place, Instead of the simple one, Why doesnt Spiral Knights Implement something like the Following:
GUILD MASTER ~ Which would be displayed with something like 1 BIG yellow star.
OFFICER ~ This rank would show 1 gold bar
TACTICIAN ~ This rank would show 1 Silver bar
VETERAN ~ This rank would show 1 Bronze bar
RIVAL ~ This rank would show 1 White bar
Member ~ This rank would show 1/2 white bar & 5 white stars
SIDEKICK ~ This rank would show 1/2 White bar & 4 white stars
INITIATE ~ This rank would show 1/2 white bar & 3 White stars
RECRUIT ~ This rank would show 1/2 white bar & 2 White stars
CANDIDATE ~This rank would show 1/2 white bar & 1 White star
This is merely an idea that would facilitate the ranking/Promotion system in guilds, and would make those members more enthusiastic about attaining the next rank if available.
Thank you soo much for looking over at my idea / Suggestion!
I first want to compliment you for the work you put into the system. Especially the rank symbols
The question I have is what purpose an independent guild rank system would serve considering we also have prestige rank. The system we have now is straightforward and allows for a decent level of differentiation between different "classes" of members, so I'm uncertain what good additional ranks would do. If anything I expect a lot of guild masters would throw a fit. Of course, there might be something I'm missing, so if you can think of a good reason to add this beyond "it looks cool" I'm happy to hear it.
