Hello all!

After much thought, I have looked over the current promotion/ Rank system in guilds which is currently to me a Simple one.

Now that the game is expanding, What came to mind is, Why isn't the current promotion system in Guilds also changed?

currently it's as follows:

GUILD MASTER~
OFFICER~
VERTERAN~
MEMBER~
RECRUIT~

Now, i only pondered this , Because now that you are certified thru the Hall of Hero's, Pertaining to what tier level you are, You get a Unique Proto Crest, that you can wear proudly as an achievement to your tier certification.
Also, Now that we have a "PRESTIGE SYSTEM" that is, You are given points on the type of prestige missions that you do, And you are rewarded with either materials or recipes, So~

For a guild to really put a rank system in place, Instead of the simple one, Why doesnt Spiral Knights Implement something like the Following:

GUILD MASTER ~ Which would be displayed with something like 1 BIG yellow star.

OFFICER ~ This rank would show 1 gold bar

TACTICIAN ~ This rank would show 1 Silver bar

VETERAN ~ This rank would show 1 Bronze bar

RIVAL ~ This rank would show 1 White bar

Member ~ This rank would show 1/2 white bar & 5 white stars

SIDEKICK ~ This rank would show 1/2 White bar & 4 white stars

INITIATE ~ This rank would show 1/2 white bar & 3 White stars

RECRUIT ~ This rank would show 1/2 white bar & 2 White stars

CANDIDATE ~This rank would show 1/2 white bar & 1 White star

This is merely an idea that would facilitate the ranking/Promotion system in guilds, and would make those members more enthusiastic about attaining the next rank if available.

Thank you soo much for looking over at my idea / Suggestion!

Hmm ...

I first want to compliment you for the work you put into the system. Especially the rank symbols

The question I have is what purpose an independent guild rank system would serve considering we also have prestige rank. The system we have now is straightforward and allows for a decent level of differentiation between different "classes" of members, so I'm uncertain what good additional ranks would do. If anything I expect a lot of guild masters would throw a fit. Of course, there might be something I'm missing, so if you can think of a good reason to add this beyond "it looks cool" I'm happy to hear it.

Hi there!

First ~ TY * BLUSH*

But , Ya- it would be good , Not just because it looks cool, but more like, a More diverse classes of ranks, That is , it can be also implemented with the prestige, I understand that that has its own progression, but what I mean Like In guilds themselves.

For example, A guild master would first recruit someone, he is in fact a "Candidate" which in progression in his or her own guild now has to attain the next rank, that is up to what the independent guild may have set-up to do so.

So the other thought would be something like a "guild management" feature of sorts, there any member of that guild can quickly see his or her rank, and also the others, Not to mention what also can be noticed, Is who can do certain things and who cannot.

Its just that it would diversefy more the classes between players, and would also keep players interested into what can be done to attain the next rank.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't to make anyone unhappy, it's more of a Guild thing, when you join a guild , this is the progression that you can attain.

Thanks again for reading my idle chatter :)

Hey,

I think there are advantages and disadvantages of more complex guild ranks.

It looks fancy, could be useful where everyone in guild are for long time and majority is veteran and its either being veteran or member (since not lot ppl trust with officer rank since it gains some power in guild and you dont know who you can trust)

But making more ranks in guild can be dangerous and lead to dramas where some ppl aruge over and over why they are too low in rank while others are higher etc. etc

Also i think recruit and candidate are pretty same, dont see diffrence between two of those. And name sidekick can be somehow offensive for some ppl, i wouldnt like to be called Sidekick Asukalan :F

Hmmm.. you do have a point. But it's Just an example.

Instead of the names I gave as examples they can be changed to something more with a Grandeur in it.
And some are also asking why are some higher than others? Let me tell ya, I see that situation alot, and its mostly pertaining those that expect everyting easy. Those that work hard and earn thier ranks and quite content with what they get, The Nay-sayers are always bellyaching becuase of what they dont have. Needless to say if you reveal what wealth you may have, Then they feel they are entitled for you to share it with them.

But ~ In all to break down the ranks would make it more robust. May I also point out , For instance in the military when you first start out, you are a /Private/, the lowest rank., As you gain expereince, you also attain rank.

With that said, I dont mean to reset the ranks altogether but more to leave those with rank, in place already.
