So, I made a fan fiction a few months ago called Enter the Arena (I won't link it, but feel free to find it if you want to read it). And as I was finishing, I didn't really have big plans on making another fan fiction... but lo and behold I decided to make another one (semi-sequel) involving the Core and the Shadow Lairs. This concept has been months in the making -- beginning late November/ Early December and I'm at about Chapter 6.

I'm not normally one to accept FC invites/sign-ups/submissions/role casting/wahtever you call it from others and I'm not going to go into my thoughts about it... but... I've been on the fence with possibly giving it a whirl. I was going to open this up more when I felt I was ready to release chapters, but I may be very far in the story by then that submissions may not have a place. So I thought I'd make this thread if people are interested in possibly making cameos in my fic. I'm not guaranteeing anything, I may just decide to stick with my guns and not use anyone's character, or I may make mini-cameos. I do want to leave the option open and early enough that I have the possibility to work in appearances. I will make sure to give credit if I use anything when I post the fiction later down the line.

Mini-background (if you want to know the basis of what is going to happen). This fan fiction is revolving around the Shadow Lairs patch released with the Swarm. Strange changes have been happening and a strange black substance is corrupting the lowest depths of the Clockworks. The Spiral Knights are now in an ultimate struggle with a vile creature called the swarm. The answers and way to save Haven will take them across various depths -- possibly including an encounter with the Spookat's leader, gremlins/crimson order/king tink, a revisit with my fan creation the rektilians, some of the gods/spirits of cradle, and even into the core itself.

Submissions I will accept clockwork monsters knights. Monsters can range from anything we've seen before such as Kats, Wolvers, Sprites, to things you've made up, be it a one eyed rainbow spitting puppy monster or whatever. Knights can range from traditional roles we currently see to magic wielding and may be any color (even colors not available to us). You may enter as many monsters/knights as you want, just please don't pull a million FCs from thin air because you want better odds of getting in or something --i.e. make sure the character you want in this is something you're happy with and they're nice and polished.
I would greatly appreciate if you can give me as much information as possible. Please keep in mind the changes to bosses that happened so if you need to make changes accordingly to your character. This fan fiction also takes newer patches, such as missions, into account. (So the Royal Jelly Palace was taken over by the Ice Queen, Snarby is Rabid, IMF was destroyed and rebuilt with much more deadly hazards, and Vana is using Shadowfire and other dark magics)
Thing to consider including would be:
Your name (in-game or forum name so I can give credit), Knight/Monster's name, Age, Alliance (Good, Evil, Neutral), Gender, Appearance (Include Knight color, Armor/Weapon Loadout, How they look), Personality, Team (Missions have given us Recons, Specialists, etc.), Background/History. The more details you give, the better I can portray them.

That should be it. This thread is also being used for teasers, or whatever you want to call it. Concept art and news about chapter progress will be posted. Happy Submitting?

Appearance: has a seraphic helm and an ash tail coat, wears two nightblades on his back. A cutter strapped to his belt. He usually uses a Dark Thorn Blade or his trusty Final Flourish. Has aqua colored eyes.

Team: Ace is very good at quickly defeating enemies and vanishing. Hed be something like a Striker with his abilities. Hes very fast and is good ith swift swords.

Background: Ace was the loving and loved son of Kozma and Brinks. When his parents died in an attack from the Swarm, he swore to destroy the source once and for all. Even after his parents were killed, he still retained his fun and wise-guy personality. He is very good with fast swords but is also a pretty good shot.

I'm not sure I'll be able to fit Ace in story-wise because a child of Kozma and Brinks doesn't fit in my fanon, but I'll see.

I've done some clarifications to my submission rules as well, just expanding things to make sure they're clear. If people have more than one fan character as well, feel free to submit them, but I am requesting to be reasonable. Please don't take this as "more characters = better chances," I would like to see people submit characters they're proud of and that are refined and polish in their eyes.

In other news, chapters are coming out at a decent pace despite the fact I have to write essays for my religion class. I've finished Chapter Six and have a fair chunk of Seven done.

Also have some concepts of characters and armor designs doodled in my notebook, perhaps I will have pictures to upload as teasers soon.

Race: Skolver
Appearenace: a little over one foot tall. She hs completely white fur and dark blue eyes. On her back she has a light blue line that goes from her tail to the top of her head. She has small, but sharp claws, tiny teeth.
Personality: A cheerful small bundle of joy. She's energetic, joyful, and loves working with others. But when it comes to battle, because of her age she has little to no strength or battle skill/strategy. She relies on her speed. Ususally she uses this to run away, but if a friend is in danger, she'll come in with claws slashing.
Team: She doesn't do much. She is not much use on the battlefield unless she's on peak condition. But she is a good recon. She can fit in small places, and do all the other good things recons do. She doesnt make much noise. She's not the perfect recon (Duh, a skolver is kind of an eye-opener)
History: Blue is one of the last surviving skolvers, who have been hunt to extinction for their pelts. Her parents were killed shortly after she was 4. Sonce then, she's been scrounging the clockorks looking for her next meal. Sometimes she comes into contac with knights. Its usually not pretty. Whether they want her coat, or to keep her as a pet (O_O) She met a good knight once, but has forgotten. No matter how many knights try to kill her, she always is the one to approach them. She just LOVES company. (Shes been living on her own for years O_O)

Also: PLZ dont let her be able to speak unless the knights made it possible by technology etc..

Name: Gironimo (usually called Giro)

Race: Knight
Appearenace: He's big, towering over some of the Wardens, and uses Azure Guardian Armor with a Mighty Cobalt Helm. He uses a modified Leviathian Blade that's even bigger than the others.
Personality: He doesn't talk much, just grunts and follows orders, but every now and then he spurts out a genius plan that makes you wonder what is really going on in his head.
Team: Guardian, he's pretty much a solid brick to be thrown at the enemy, leaving a wake of the dead behind him.
History: Giro was a lot bigger than everyone else, and just tried to stay in the background and not get noticed, which is hard if you're a good couple of feet taller than everyone around you. He went through hardcore training, and was taught to use his size as an advantage, as well as to follow orders without questioning his higher officers. He still tries his best not to get noticed, stopping himself from voicing his opinions for the sole purpose to not draw attention to him. For this reason no one can really figure out what his opinions are, or even if he has any.

Sorry, I guess I should have addressed that in my earlier post. There should be no problems adding him somewhere in my fic. I just need to figure out where. EDITED: I think I may add Ace in the next few chapters I'm working on, in which a group of quarantined knights are discussing their experience with the swarm.

EDIT Mar. 19: I am rolling out the first concept art I made. It's nothing special, just a sketch.

This is a concept of the Kat leader. She doesn't have a name, but I'm thinking she'll be called by a title only. E.g. "Majesty" or the like. She's going to be either pink or purple and much more closely related to the grimalkins in the sense she merely pops up out of the darkness and has a slight fear of light. She has large, broken wings and prefers to materialize into a dress. She does not actually have a fully bipedal body/humanoid form; she is just a very large kat (also does not have female parts [i don't know if I'll get in trouble for saying it], but shapes her form when clothed to allow strangers to know her gender, aside from her feminine voice]). Her eyes glow and she has numerous markings on her body (visible ones on the face). Speaks in a russian accent or traditional vampire voice.

I will be adding my fan race up next, which are pretty much a race of lizard ninjas that are under Krogmo's rule.
