Jelly Bomb (Concept art inside!)

I was thinking of having a bomb like a haze bomb that did not induce a status but just had a "haze" that would do damage. Maybe when the bomb exploded it would leave a large splat of accordingly colored jelly that would deal damage (normal/ele) with the frosty jelly bomb (perhaps a IQ mat craft) causing pirce and the unstable jelly bomb would instead of leaving jelly would drop a few of those exploding jelly orbs that blast cubes drop.

Mist works by constantly applying a status. Changing the status part with raw damage could be OP.

Not really. Depends on how frequently the damage is dealt in intervals - you can, of course, program it such that everytime an enemy stands on the goop, it takes damage, alternatively you could make the hitboxes appear and disappear in intervals such as a fifth of a second, or half a second, and dish out damage accordingly.

It's creative, but I'm gonna have to say no unless monsters can figure out a way to walk out of the blast radius after getting hit, otherwise all you need to do is to stack bombs and anything you lure in dies in seconds.
