Status resists on a shield are not that great either. The only tme where i'd want such resists and notice the difference would be against zombie's beath.

i kinda do want a mercurial shield... but mainly for the MSI :p

I'm still searching for that Grew Owlite Shield you're talking about - strangely I can't find anything. Oh well.

Seriously though, I'm not against the idea of a shield resisting shock. I'm just not too sure there's a point in making a shield devoted only to defending against shock - similar to the Heater Shield for Freeze.

Actually, a Quicksilver alchemy path to the Jelly Shield doesn't sound too bad of an idea.

There's already an Elemental resisting and Shadow resisting "shock shields." A Quicksilver shield would only complete it the trio, really, and would match along with the Quicksilver line.

Now that we've had a more reasonable form of the suggestion, I support it. Plus one.

The problem was mostly the fact that ya didn't quite communicate your idea correctly. Saying that there should be more shock shields seems like a useless idea, but saying that there should be a Piercing shield that resists shock, possibly styled after the Quicksilver line, sounds like a much more attractive idea.

I suggest editin' the original post to express the idea. Something like:

"We have the Crest of Almire, a Shadow shield that resists shock. We have the Grey Owlite Shield, an Elemental shield that resist shock. But what about those who are in need of a Piercing shield to help them against Quicksilvers and Voltails?

To that, I give to you, the Quicksilver Shield! A shield that matches the Quicksilver line, it resists shock, AND gives the piercing defense that one desires!"

Maybe make the shield give MSI low so that we can have more passive buffing shields.

My idea was moreso to make it a variation from the Jelly Shield line. At the moment, the line only has one alchemy line in it: as in, it leads up to the Royal jelly shield. The Quicksilver Shield, however, will give a more extended family to the line. I'll probably sprite up what I think the line would look like whenever I can.

And let's be honest, the Roarmulus twins have a LOT of token items as is. As someone who's aiming to get every item in the game, including every stage from EVERY alchemy line (that I can handle), that's gonna be an even bigger problem for me.

Well, the way I see it, it could be similar to the Snarbolax set.

The set is kinda branched out upon several alchemy paths. The weapons themselves, which I'll consider one set, and the Wolver line. Similar to this, the Quicksilver set will give some variation to the Jelly line.

That, and I've never heard of OOO adding in new boss token rewards, which I presume would get kinda annoying.

A shield with a primary type and thats only shock? Would you rather stick with shock + fire, which can protect you from both or just a shock shield and won't protect you from fire?

Well I like your shock suggestions which would complete my shock type weapons collections.
