Soooooooo... I really like using my swift strike... And i got to thinking... how about some others... it could be fun, ya know?

SO! ... a generic upgrade to 4*... but lets say it branches out...

Bladed Buckler ****
Defense: Pierce, piddly
Effects: Sword ASI: Very high, Sword Damage: Med
Description: A shield seemingly made of numerous blades.

Ammo Belt ****
Defense: Shadow, piddly
Effects: Gun ASI: Very high, Gun CTR: Med
Description: A large ammo box with light plating, perfect for the gunner on the run.

Bomb Timer ****
Defense: Elemental, piddly
Effects: MSI med, Bomb CTR Med
Description: A high-tech timer helps you set your bombs faster, which may or may not make them even more detrimental to your health.

Phase Buckler ****
Defence: Normal, piddly
Effects: ASI High, MSI Med (Possibly low)
Description: It seems to phase out of existence, and might make you too!

Well, I kinda made specific ones, for all three major classes... Just remember, they wont take a beating, and are meant to help you get yourself out of, or into, trouble... >:3

I'm not too keen on the shields though; particularly the swordie shield - we don't need more gung-ho Skolvers/Vogs out there.

and skolver's the only one that really gets a boost... and then you'll be running around with pierce defense... lulz

Yep.

Why is an ammo box a shield?! Moreover why is it a shadow defence shield?!
What why- I don't even - argh.

Why not just make the bomber and gunner shields normal defence just like Swiftstrike. It seems out of place otherwise; though I'm fine with the Phase Shield being normal, or elemental, or shadow.

Or at least remove the damage and CTR buffs. Chances are to balance that you'll have to make the shield as strong as rice paper in T3 to balance everything out.

As far as these shields... yeah... the SSB needs at the minimum a bomber equivalent.

Funny names = hilarity... I mean, yeah blocking with an ammo box isn't going to help to much... and that's why its here... XD

Reason for different defenses? Having a type specialized is more of a disadvantage then full normal... because even in t3 most foes have at least one attack that deals some normal damage... also...

Random sneak attacks from jellys and wolvers is a pain to most swordys.
Devilites and Greivers are a major pain to gunners... who only have a very slow gun that's meant to deal with them.
Not only are the only defenses given to bombers Elemental, and I HATE gunpuppys when I try to bomb.

It takes maybe an hour to get 15~20 KCs, but you can get a lot more or a lot less depending on how many 500 Point games you get compared to 900 point games...and which team you get on.

If you're using a suda in LD, I don't see how you could get more than 2k damage. :P

I like the idea. bonuses need some testing and fine balancing probably, because they seems a little bit overpowered.

Also, names could somehow be a sum of weapon type and damage type. For example Buffalo Buckler - buckler in a shape of buffalo skull - combine a wild west theme (somewhat associated with handguns) with death (shadow resistance). Ok, that's not the best idea, but you get what I mean ;-)

Well...

They break after about one hit sooo.... and the specialized shields have less defense then the Phase buckler... soo, yeah.... kinda balanced... :p

@Sev.... Actually... I manage to get 6-8k mostly... ASI ultra when in LD... but still... the charge... LULZ... amazing for grabbing recons, trapping Cap point entrances... and saying "GTFO MY CAP POINT!!!!!"

But I do kinda rage/put down all AA users... It grates my nerves when some noob skolver runs around and AA's an entire team... Poor, Broken LD... :C
