FSC Bomber's Dilemma: Volc Demo Suit or Mad Bomber Suit?

Hi everyone,

As a developing FSC bomber, I've recently added Radiant Sun Shards to my FSC bombing gear (even though I've had it sitting around in my arsenal for whoknowshowlong). My current gear for bombing in FSC is as follows:

Armor:
Volc Demo Helm
Heavy Demo Suit (I need to upgrade this soon)

Shield:
Volc Plate (might replace this with Crest of Almire once I get my Blackened Crest upgraded)

Bombs:
Electron Vortex (for group play with dem swordies)
Shivermist Buster (for obvious reasons)
RSS (recently added because I just noticed how godly it was...)
Spike Shower (soon to be DBB)

I was going to make my Heavy Demo Suit into Mad Bomber Suit before the update that made Volc Demo Suit only have low CTR. Now, I am at indecision since NOW volc demo has med CTR, but I've experimented with some more damage bombs.

Some other points to take note of:
~ Fire isn't a big issue for me, especially after the charge attack update. So fire isn't a big interrupter to my bombing.
~ The group members I play with usually kill off the enemies pretty fast.... so there isn't much room for me to damage.
~ I'll add more here if I think of any....

TL;DR I bomb regularly in FSC and need to upgrade my Heavy Demo Suit. I already have a Volcanic Demo Helm. I've recently experimented with damage bombs. Should I upgrade my heavy demo to Mad Bomber or Volc Demo for FSC?

I'd go for Mad Bomber, and consider bomb damage trinkets - the damage will boost Electron Vortex as well, and RSS is useful for soloing Charred Courtyard rooms or when there aren't enough slags nearby to be worth pulling them around.

Also, rather than DBB, I'd recommend either taking either Blitz Needle or Levi/CIV - Blitz if you pub a lot and can't rely on teammates getting in position before trojans spawn, Levi for a way do deal with oilers and Vana's mask.

My advice is to simply get mad bomber if you dont worry about status because with enough damage bonus, the shards you have there will one-shot slags if you hit them with all the shards.
Besides that, I advise everyone else to use volc demo set due to a lack of effective damage bombs thanks to half of them being underpowered as hell

welp, i think you should get volcanic demo helm, and mad bomber suit, because most bombers usually don't get hit or die (good bombers anyway)

It depends on what you want to do.

Are you going to be bombing anywhere other than FSC? If not, and if you're not too concerned with being slightly more vulnerable to fire, then I would go with the Mad Bomber Suit. RSS is amazing in FSC, and the more damage bonuses you can get the better.

However, if your role is mainly one of support (vortex/shiver), and you anticipate doing things like Lockdown or Shadow Lairs, then I would consider going with the Volcanic Demo Suit. You're trading medium damage for better resistance to fire as well as freeze/poison/shock. But if your primary purpose is to make things easier for your group's DPS, then you shouldn't be as concerned with your own damage output.

Misc Notes:
-RSS, especially with a boost to damage, kills off zombies in FSC just as fast and probably faster than any sword.
-Shock is an extremely annoying status effect.
