If this hasnt been suggested before, i think its about time it gets brought back up.

OOO should really make the best use of the community and playerbase to create content. Im sure i speak for a lot of people when i say we want more playable content, not just accessories etc.

So, the idea is thus

OOO should release a level editor, allowing players to create thier own levels.

These levels could be uploaded via the missions system, perhaps as a level set.
There could also be an arcade gate, where the levels are randomly chosen.

As a reward, the creator could get, say, 100cr for each party started on the mission, but has to pay 100ce to upload one level.

The editor would be the simple level layout system, but could also include a basic stats editor, eg to create monsters with more health/immunity to fire etc.
Each level would have a limit to cr and heat output that can not be edited, that is proportional to existing levels, so that the economy stays the same.

Hopefully this would introduce variation if the stats editor was included, 'challenges' could be created for end game content, and basically the players creativity can be harnessed, giving more replay value to the game.

This tool already exists no doubt, but is internal to OOO, and probably is full of bugs/ secret IP, however hopefully with some work it could be released with limited functionality, and features added later.

In order to maintain good quality, the upload cost could be implemented, but there could also be a leaderboard/ most popular section so the best levels are chosen naturally. As users work thier ways around the tools, im sure the community will teach others with guides etc and bug fixing.

what do we think to this?

100ce to upload, but win 100cr for each party....An organized big guild or group of friends can or the use of multiple accounts easily exploit the system, tho it does draine energy from market.

Another problem is that people coudl create 'cheat' levels that are super easy a. I mean, sure you limit treasures, but it's easy to trap melee enemies with blocks, etc so they cant attack us while we shoot them form afar.

I like this idea

It would get the community more involved in a community based game.
Of course, I do like the idea for fees and such, and being payed back, but perhaps you could chain your floors and make missions as well?
Inevitably someone with several thousand energy would make some sort of 50+ floor mission for four man parties of 5 star gear, but still.

@Lubbes

Well upload images of a map you create and we'll imagine how it would play out ingame.
