You don't have to wait after

You can avoid doing the 3rd swing in the combo by switching weapons then switching back, rather than waiting after every 2nd swing. (You need to bind keys to individual weapons to switch weapons instantly)

Great video anyways, not enough players seem to appreciate the rocket hammer.

Excellent. I've been using the hammer to whip Vana in p1 and during the mask in all my runs these days. Nice to see someone use it to great effect on other phases. The orbs always spawn on top of me in solo runs, so I've stopped trying that. :v

Also, I envy your hammer. How many rolls did it take to get that UV? :p

Using this technique I think it is possible to solo mask stages with just one water.

@ Nalrayi (or anyone else who knows)

1. I have an issue where when the slag guards spawn in phase 5, they usually have a strange delay before they appear. Then when they do appear i don't have time to do a charge attack (usually my blitz needle) before the turn around. It's almost like i would have to predict when they spawn and just release my shot early. But then, they don't spawn at a set time. Do you if there is just a certain amount of random involved here or would this be an issue between my computer and my internet (keep in mind i'm in Alaska so i'm technically over a country away). Do the slags spawn "on time" for you every time?

2. What specific keys do you have the hammer and other weapon bound to so that u can cancel the swing? And does it have to be keys or could it be accomplished via having weapon change bound to scroll wheel?

3. How long did it take you to hone those hammer skills? Does the weapon switch/swing cancel work wonders in PvP?

4. Do you do the mask phase the same every time (phase 4). It seems like the mask just hovered there like a sitting duck, right by the water pedestal, and even seemed to shoot less bullets than normal. If you just run top left does the mask just follow you and sorta drift to easy to hit spots? Or was that somewhat fortunate, and therefore one of the reasons why this was a prime video to upload (due to efficiency of kill)?

1. I never have to "predict" slags' spawning, delay they have before turning around/attacking is enough to react in time. Though seems like slags in UFSC (except for those at boss level) attack almost without delay, but still I'm able to fov them 50% of the time.

2. For me it's definitely easier to do weapon switching with "Weapon Slot 1" on scroll up and "Weapon Slot 2" on scroll down, though I wasn't using switching in this vid, just regular shield-cancel.

3. It's not that hard to do once you "catch" timing. I haven't tried switching with hammer in PvP yet, but being able to change weapons between 1 and 2 slot more quickly helps a lot.

4. Yes, I do every mask stage exactly this way. I think there is less bullets because it is solo run.

I think maybe less bullets on the mask because you water it so quickly and kill it quickly. Also guessing maybe the position so close to the corner sorta makes some of them irrelevant. But i look forward to giving this a shot. Also, does auto-aim have to be off to dance around him with the hammer like that?

Yes, auto-aim locks you in place, that's exactly what you need for mask stages, but for 1st, 3rd and 5th phases it must be off.

Do you actually toggle it on off during the fight O.o! That's a fast management of the menu lol.
And i actually turned it back on, because otherwise my knight was on ice-skates during the mask phase with swords. And strangely with the blitz needle with auto-aim on all bullets hit the mask, with it off bullets just sort of veer around it (when it should seemingly make no difference since u can't turn and blitz at the same time anyway).

Your Dark Fire Video shows off your great skills, however sadly you said it was Sword only but its not... ok, Rocket Hammer is sword like so we can let that pass... however @1:35 there is definite use of an electron vortex. Which is a real shame as there seemed little need to use that bomb.

Well, if you want to treat it like this... Vortex doesn't affect vana at all, it was used on zombies, not Vanaduke, so technically it is still swords only vana. And just to make it a little bit more clear, in OP by "swords only" I mean that I wasn't using any guns like Blitz Needle or AP.

Yes, I do every mask stage exactly this way. I think there is less bullets because it is solo run.
Mask bullets are no different from solo or in a party, they still spawn the same amount. I like how you threw the water at the mask when it's heading towards you, at about a 4th of a 90 degree angle above/below horizontal to the mask. From personal experience, it always works if you throw it from there after the big circling fireballs pass. If only more people knew that...maybe we should sticky your videos as a guide for FSC :P
Suggestions? Hmm, what about Ice Queen solo with proto/cobalt armour and swiftstrike? With the amount of enemies there, that could prove to be a challenge.

Should note some facts about

Should note some facts about the ice queen duo:
We will be uploading the palace levels soon when we can do them deathless.
We are doing this with no pierce defense, no armor/shield UVs, a swiftstrike buckler, and only half freeze resist.
Additionally I only took I believe 1 hit from an enemy during the boss, and Nalrayi just got hit by a spawn block I think.
