Just as the title says: I think it would be a neat feature if, after a certain amount of play (like after defeating the Roarmulus Twins or getting to Emberlight), players could make Emberlight Gremlin characters, or maybe even play as evil Gremlins in a sort of PvP. I dunno, just a wacky idea I wanted to throw out there, 'cause I think everyone agrees that the Gremlins are one of the more interesting parts of the Spiral Knights setting...

Bwa ha haha. I like your responses. If OOO had 2 years of free time or so, sure, you could play gremlins. My point is that it would take a lot, and I mean a LOT of new things, and it would take forever to get anything like this completed. The only way how this could be done in anyway is if there was a gremlin that would play exactly like the knights, but just with different models. It would still take a long time to implement, and maybe the story would need to be tweaked some, but it might work then.

Besides: how many knights could there possibly have been on the Skylark? If you ever did want to play as some special race, what else would you play as? Devilites? Strangers? Spookats?

I can already play as a Stranger. Pop on one of my 3 or 4 Stranger Hats, sit around in Haven, and try to hawk some goods at ridiculous prices.
I can already play as a Devilite. Run around all enemies, occasionally stopping to pop off a Magnus shot or swing my Sudaruska.
I can already play as a Spookat. Sit around and dive at enemies using a Flourish charge attack, then shoot a fan of bullets using a Snarble Barb charge attack.
I can already play as a Zombie. Walk around slowly with my shield up, lunge at enemies with my Sudaruska. Breathe some Shivermist at 'em first, maybe.
I can already play as a Wolver. Just constantly swing a fast sword around.
I can already play as a Gun Puppy. Use an Autogun.
I can already play as a Lumber. DAT SUDA.
I can already play as a Mecha Knight. Use a sword.
I can already play as a Trojan. Rocket Hammer.
I can already play as a Gremlin. Calibur, Nitronome.
The list goes on; open your mind.

Ok, I believe this is the 3rd play a Gremlin thread I've seen in the past 3 days. I guess this will just be a new thing for the forums! Every day someone adds a new play a Gremlin thread. Should I go ahead and put mine in the Gremlin Chatter right now? I bet they will love that!
Once again, from the top. How to play as a Gremlin:
1. Buy OCH
2. Farm Tier 3 OCH 3 times.
3. Farm for 3 eternal orbs.
4. Craft Perfect Mask of Seerus
5. Gwemlin!
To make it really fitting, put a Dismantler Crest on a Deluxe Vitasuit or any red themed armor. (preferably Heavy or Volcanic). Fallow these steps and make the threads go away.
