Armor of the Kats! [Artwork up to the 5*!]

Hey, I'm back with another suggestion, last time it was the Frigid Fang, a cutter that could inflict freeze.
This time, I come bearing an armor set suggestion!
Kat armor! This idea has been rolling around in my head for a while, and it's nice to get it out.
We all know about the Kat hats, and I'm sure that we all want one, well most of us any who.
Lets get started...
As we know, Kats are quite agile in the Clockworks, their lunging speeds getting quicker and quicker the farther you venture downwards.
Lets harness that speed.
----------------
The 3* items
Kitten Kap(Helmet)
The purrfect cap for new knights who love undead felines.
-
Kat Koil(Armor)
A comfy set of mail that'll have you ready for a cat nap at anytime of the day.
----------------
The 4* Items
Kat Krown(Helmet)
An upgraded Kitten Kap made for knights on the prowl.
-
Kat Klothe
More serious Kat armor that'll stand up to the knitting of claws.
----------------
The 5* Path ; Pepperkat Armor Series
Pepperkat Krown(Helmet)
A feisty helmet made from felines woken up from their cap naps.
-
Skorched Kat Clothe
A set of mail made for the more feisty felines of the fluffy world.
----------------
Now for the other variant...
----------------
The 5* Path ; Bloogato Armor Series
Frosty Fur Cap(Helmet)
A well made Kat Kap that keeps the Kold-hearted Kat fans attentions.
-
Frozen Flauds
Even Kats with cold feet will keep up on the hunt with these on.
---------
Okay, the stats are just like the Angelic line, in terms of shadow defense.
Lets replace their poison resistance with a stun resistance.
Now here is where the swiftness of the Kat's come in, each piece will have ASI low on it.
As for the 5*'s....
The names kinda give away their bonuses
Pepperkat = Fire resistance
Bloogato = Freeze resistance
Now your prolly asking, "Why should I use this armor over Wolver or the other 5* Valk items"
Well this'll make it stick out.
Give both 5* items Move Speed Increased low. This further reflects how swift Kats are!
To sum it all it, it's a Kat armor set that's cute, give you shadow defense and makes you quicker.
Here is the artwork concept I did for this

I thank you for reading.
Please post your thoughts.

i like it it could be a new shadow type armor or a piercing and shadow armor, or something similar to skelly but less bulky.

I'd say we already have enough Volcanic/Fiery/Burning whatever armors, so I would drop the Pepperkat line.
However, what about a Grimalkin line? The colors used can be similar to the one's used on the Snarb Coat, givin' the Shadow style more than one piece of armor for people to work with? Not only that, but it'd be much more interestin' than just EVERYTHING, VOLCANIC.
I'll make some sprites of this later, since I really like the way the armor looks.

Grimalkin armor... I'll draw that out later! That sounds really good.
"Not only that, but it'd be much more interestin' than just EVERYTHING, VOLCANIC."
I can understand where you are coming from here ,I myself get tired of the Vogs all over, but I'm not trying to make Volcanic everything. I'm just to stick with the theme of SK here.
As for the shadow accessories working for the Grim. armor, Snarby is red, while Grims have that purple color in their maws, unless someone had the personal color of red... I'm not too sure how that would look.
(Edit: I have a bad habit of spelling Grimlakin with an e)

Actually, the colors used for normal shadow accessories don't have red on them.
Here's an example of that color scheme on a Culet, next to a Grimalkin for color comparison: http://gyazo.com/2cc40959702bcec5b1d0ab120a0b1dbc
The purple would definitely be recolorable, since the mouth would, like the other Kat hats, be used for the "face" of the knight.

Movement speed is supposed to be a "rare" equipment bonus but that does not mean new equipment may not have it; the problem with doing so is balancing it against what we already have which also has the bonus, in our case both Mercurial sets. Notice the Quicksilver one has ~6.2 bars of normal defense, ~7.8 bars of pierce defense, about 2.9 bars of shock defense per part, and +1 movement speed per part. Since you attribute the same defensive stats as the Angelic line (assumed reference to Valkyrie at 5*) but with stun resistance instead poison and +1 generic attack speed per part and +1 movement speed per part. Considering the generic attack speed is relevant to both guns and swords it counts as +2 offensive bonus alone per piece, meaning +4 from the attack speed alone for both pieces; movement speed is somewhat 1.5 bonus per piece in terms of balancing offensive bonuses which is why the Quicksilver 5* variants do not have other offensive bonuses. The set has more offensive utility due to its higher defense over Valkyrie but Kats are not the best foundation for improving movement speed. You can keep it if you want, but Kats are only fast when they attack; otherwise they just float around or stand there and do nothing. Since this set is based on an enemy it ought to share characteristics of it, though not necessarily the damage type weakness; Kats are easily dominated by shock status. It stops them from doing anything because they have to move before attacking, but shock stops them from moving to begin with. Instead of fire weakness the proposed Kat set would better suit to have shock weakness. Considering Valkyrie has two status resistances and one weakness it is somewhat more of a status tank than damage as its lower damage tolerance values attribute it, but having curse resistance alone is significant. If it kept that curse resistance it would not be balanced to give it movement and attack speed bonuses. If the curse resistance were removed from the current proposition then it would be akin to another Chaos type set, giving up a few defensive stats in exchange for more offensive ability. The reason Quicksilver line does not do this is because jellies are somewhat sturdy compared to squishy ghost cat things that float around and vomit circles at you. Not that logic has any place in our enemies, but to keep enemy based equipment relevant to the enemy it is based on; Kats are more offensive based than swarming in giant crowds as jellies try to do. Stun resistance is more attributable to Plate lines, the thick and heavy metal armor which can walk away from a Lumber drinking party with little more than a dent in their arm. The reason Valkyrie has poison resistance is to tag a minor resistance on after curse since the armor has somewhat low defense overall. Kats are fairly easy to stun since they only move while attacking and when afflicted are crippled in speed. Giving the set stun resistance would be inconsistent with the enemy. If curse resistance is removed for previous reasons consider changing the stun/poison resistance to something more anti-offense based, such as fire or freeze; I see you already did that though. Or keep it to poison and retain the generic attack and movement speed. For the stats until reaching 5* I assume each part has +1 generic attack speed then at 5* they get the +1 movement speed. For the defensive stats having another anti-fire armor would be somewhat dull, but compared to most other sets its downfall would be lower defense and weakness to a significant status (shock).
The freeze line seems more viable in terms of new content but the fire line would be somewhat overpowered in Firestorm Citadel, putting Shadowsun and Vog Cub sets out of commission in there. Both fire and freeze lines would have shock weakness and resistance to their respective status, but is there anything else to this? Both at 5* have +1 generic attack and movement speed per part, a couple bars less defense overall, and somewhat counterbalanced resistances.
You know what I would like to see? An Oiler and freeze jelly (Ice Cube) based set. In fact, I am going to start that right now over there. I am going to link the current thread in my index because unlike past attempts to make a Kat set you gave stats and concept art. Give yourself a pat on the back. And the front. And on the noggin.

Got the Grimalkin set drawn up. I really like this one.
Prolly because I'm a sucker for dark colors.

Hello Snarby Aura type thing<3
-----
@Alphastevo;
I don't think I was very clear, sorry about that.
But, what I meant by the things having red on them, would be the recent shadow accessories. Shadow Dragon wings have red marked tips, as the shadow party hat has a red swirl and... floofly thing on the top of it.
Also, Snarby colored proto armor is kinda cool. :o

@Luguiru
Phew, that's alot of writing!
I do agree on the points you made there. Shock weakness should added for sure, unless there was a Statikat set or something.
Also... I've grown very fond of drawing up armor sets, and was was thinking about Jelly sets too. (Lichen armor..) So that Oiler/Icecube idea would be really cool too. More jelly love<3

I have stuff for the Oiler set here in terms of stats and what not. All it needs is visual references and we would be rocking. Something oozing, unlike our current jelly related sets. Oil oozes everywhere like running snot on a warm day. That probably made you wipe your nose for no reason.
No, no anti-shock line for the Kat lines; it would have a strict advantage over both the fire and freeze lines. Unless it had weaknesses somewhere else, such as a little weakness to both fire and freeze but resistance to shock.
In that other thread I plan to work on an Ice Cube set concept soon. Whether you choose to create art for anything is entirely up to you but I appreciate everything. That includes that you actually made art for the current thread since the stats are basically taken from something we already have. The reason the Oiler set concept above is so long is because I am trying to incorporate more variety in armor mechanics instead of "damage bonus for {weapon/family}", "attack speed bonus for {weapon}", et cetera; those are boring. How about a weaker team shielding effect for using Plate stuff? Read it and weep. Less generic bonuses, more new mechanics which make people wet themselves from how much variety they have available. Then they have to pay to replace their chairs because that is disgusting. That would make Three Rings and chair manufacturers go into business for even more profit. The people get new stuff to play with, Three Rings makes money off people wetting themselves; little can improve from here. There are also several other proposals in the linked thread for anyone to check out.
Enough advertising about what I do, back to the subject; pretty good art for the Kat set. The more recent image could be used for a sort of neutral or Grimalkin set instead of Kat, though the stats would have to be different to create more variety in the gene/creativity pool.
If anyone needs me I will be in an office typing on a computer.

They should be tunics rather than dresses, and have a bit more "gauntlet" on them.
Provides a male alternative to drake scale.

Okay, done!
Your concepts, minus the Pepperkat line. I figure a Grimalkin line was a better take than the Pepperkat one.
AND of course, here's MY take on the concepts, addin' more visual interest to each piece, along with makin' it more armored. Added in some more stuff for VISUAL INTEREST. All sets, save for Grimalkin, receive leetul wings and a bell on the front, in reference to the Ghost Bells Spookats drop. I tried to make some use of the already present kathats by making the helms realistically configurable from these hats via a mere texture edit. Grimalkin line gets more tattered, only because I found generate more 'uniqueness' for the set. Bloogato gets an aura on the helmet, since all "Frosty" themed items seem to have their auras on the helmets. All sets receive more armor on the hands and legs, since the concept left them BARE and defenseless (don't wanna stub your big toe on a Shankle, now!)
The colors used for the first two, Divine then Heavy, are to bring more items within their color category. The Bloogato armor shares the same colors as the Icebreak set and Frosty Bombhead, and the Grimalkin uses the same colors as the Shadow style (note: there are two shadow styles, one for 'normal' armors, and one for promotion accessories, such as the wings and the cat tail. The colors I used was the normal one.)
I gotta say that I really do like the tunic design of it. Probably what made me want to sprite it. I do hope the design isn't too displeasin' to ya!

@Alphastevo;
Holy CRAP! That looks really nice. ;n;

It's nice to see such positive remarks on this armor set idea. Hopefully the Dev's will see it and actually consider it.
maybe add a 2* set revolving around mewkats in this idea as well as a third variation such as the poison or shock spookats
