Instead of just showing how much we've played, let's add, say, most damage in a game, most caps in a game, most defends in a game, and stuff like that.
Thoughts?
(How to) Make the Lockdown Leaderboard more then a no-life list.
True, Pauling. But honestly if they held it the whole game, surely they'd get some defends, and damage?
However, an excellent point.
Or you could just base it off rank points per game, with disqualifiers that dropped your score if you hadn't played enough games to be a reliable sample. Logically, if everyone around you is randomly placed, your contribution to the team will be what is determining how many times you win, assuming you have a big enough data sample.
Agreed. Averages are the best way to go. I was going to suggest win percentage, but rank points per game might be even better.
I've held a point so well that no enemy ever got to step on the plate. After a few assaults, all I saw of the enemy was the occasional guy popping by to check if I was still there, and then turn around and run. This earned me 1 capture and 0 defends.
There's a thread about scores in general discussion.
But let me ask you a question about leaderboards. Which player is better:
1) Consistently captures points early, and holds them the entire match (~1 capture / game for everyone on the winning team), or
2) Abandons teammates and runs in circles capturing points that no one tries to hold on to (~15 captures/game)
A leader board based on the number of captures would reward the second kind of player.
