So, basically I have been attempting to join the elevator levels at the current gate with FSC in it. I was just about to advance to the Crossroads of Adventure when I got a black screen shortly after the prize wheel spun. I attempted to disconnect and then re-join my brother, who was still stuck in this black screen stage, and I too again ended up in a black screen. Frustrated, we decided to start a new party at the Sapphire Falcon Gate, only to find that this too was similarly bugged. Any idea why this happened?

but yes, i'm getting this problem too. i can join and run around haven maps, but when i was doing an arcade run i crashed (blanked out?) going into the next level. trying to return to the level, or to a midtown from the ready room or from the arcade also hangs, as well as all of the mission ready room's that i've tried so far, including the prestige.

Same Issue
Same issue here! Was unable to load the second part of a mission and found that all instances were dead.
Ironically the only thing I did see was a popup asking how satisfied I was with my current game session, I answered truthfully :D

I am having the same issue.
I am having the same issue. Two guildmates and I finished D24 of fsc, then we got stuck on the D25 elevator loading screen (prize wheel on one side, but other side is pitch black).
Rebooting client does not fix the problem (you become stuck on the Logging On Screen).
The only way is to press ESC and press Return to Haven. However, the elevator has already deducted 10 ce from your balance.
Several of my other guildmates (not in the same run) are experiencing the same issue in clockworks (arcade).
So until they fix this bug, I recommend not to start new missions; otherwise the elevator will just be eating away at your ce.

I've been having the same trouble. I have noticed that t1 party lobbies are affected and everything after that. all the "freebie areas" like haven, guild halls and the training hall is unnaffected.

yup, having all the same issues everyone else is having. but now i can't login to the game at all. it just says "logging in" and i've been waiting for the last 15 minutes now and still nothing. DAMN is it possible for the monkeys behind these patches and updates to do anything right??? i mean, some problems are bound to happen. but i've been playing for 3-4 months now and almost every single patch i've encountered thus far has had some sort of issue or other. this is getting ridiculous. OOO, you guys need to test new content yourselves before implementing it on your customers.

Here I was hoping to try out the new content after a long day at work! Then I was met with a black screen.

I'm sure no one's considered the possibility that what might be happening is simply an issue of server load. That is, maybe other people are in literally the same situation that I'm in - they're finishing up the day's work and trying to unwind a little bit by playing through the newly-updated Spiral Knights. With so many people wanting to see what's in store in Legion of Almire, the servers might be unable to keep up.
That's probably a really idealist view of things, but it is a possibility. It's easier to just assume OOO made some kind of terrible mistake.
Yeah! Let's all jump on the bandwagon and hate on OOO! It's not like they've literally GIVEN us a game to enjoy or anything! All they've done is release cruddy updates! Yeah!

I don't think it's server overload. If it was, we know by some message even by one if we get kicked from the server. I mean like how we get the server rebooting in 90/60 minutes messages every day.

The black screen of death bug is here for like MONTHS and it strikes us with every mission related updates. Its not a NEW bug its an old bug that is still here, ignored by OOO.
Also, the test servers were opened 2 times, they couldnt test implementing this into game there and make sure it wont cause this? Or maybe test server was just a way to make people spend money just to get there?

It's been fixed just now or about 20 minutes ago. Missions/arcades work again, now.
I cannot join any levels, I have tried many times, but not yet with missions. Every time I join an elevator it gives me a "black screen".
This is inconvenient, to say the least. Others I have contacted also have had problems, as well.
