CE Price has Risen about 3.5K CR in the Last Year.
Since July 2011 to July 2012 it has risen 3.5K CR.

I Struggled Back then to Buy in the Energy Market 100 CE for 6.5K CR...
Now i cant Afford it anymore.
Vanaduke runs probably still are the Best to do if you want CE.
IF i am right you make 6 - 8K CR on Vanaduke Runs.
50 Mist for that is Fairly good.

But still Many people before Vana Cant Even Get 5* Gear without Playing more than once a Day.
I dont know if i got the Words mixed up, But I sent a Message back to Spiral Knights when we talked.
I got a Reply From Hyperion Which wanted to know why i am Concerned.

I sent him back my Feed back which should be this Message here.

CE was Hard Enough to buy when it was 6.5K CR Sorta Still is.
Now the Price is 8.5K CR.
Really if i had 200K CE i could spare it.
I cant.
Everyone Keeps Asking for CE and CR.
They Even Sorta Greaifed me for it!
A Few People i blocked, and others i didn't.
Their should be a Infinite loop of CE selling for a Price Suitable for People to Buy.
Maybe Even going by their Stars.

Maybe Three Rings should Look into it and do their Research.
Only thing i can Say is even if i am 5* altogether it is Hell Hard to buy CE now more than Ever.

And i know People that Do Vanaduke wont Care Much cause CE is Cheaper that way!

Maybe their should be 3 Sets of Money and 3 Sets of CE Infinite Buy Price.
And it only Effects the CE Price and not the AH Price.

Maybe Even Collectible Tokens to get CE!

IDK, I am Trying to find a Really Good idea and most of mine are not good cause when i really Think about it!
Vanaduke Runs make Low Level Players Unable to get much CE to its Price.

Their are many Reasons to CE Price going up!
1: People are Multi Accounting
(Which i did do in the Past but it isn't Fun to do so i Stopped)

(Id Say like Gems. 10 Gems = 100 CE || 10 Gems = 10 CE Rare and/or Common Gems.

As someone who goes back and forth between paying and not paying to play the game (over a period of months), I say to you:

Are you off your rocker?

A public-viewable best buy rate keeps the crown/CE exchange pretty well fixed to what people expect it to be. So when it does change, there are really only three reasons to blame: Something actually changes in the game to make one more or less valuable, typical supply/demand shifts (e.g. more people wanting CE than purchasing it or a promotion introducing more excess CE to the game), or market manipulation.

It is not Three Rings' fault that it's fairly difficult for a low-end player to earn enough crowns per 100 energy played to buy 100 CE (perpetual play) while I do personally remember this used to be easier. They have adjusted crown drop rates a few times, but nothing real drastic has occurred. While I personally find it boring, the replayable missions actually make some of this crown-collecting easier.

What you really want is for the market to shift, and the market is too big for an individual to shift permanently to the degree you're hoping. And it isn't vital to the game experience anyway.

I will repost this as many times as I need to... *sigh*

You seem to be Blaming the inflation On time and Three Rings When in Reality it comes From all the New players who Are suddenly bringing More money into The market and The mission update Which allowed easier Access to high Paying areas Such As Firestorm Citadel.

Getting past all the personal complaints, you want a stable CE price. If you skipped the sob story this thread would have instantly been shot down. We already shouted at each other over this several times. It was always shot down, tied to an anchor, and thrown into the sea. Three Rings acknowledges laissez faire in our market. They only come in if the price gets ridiculous, such as 20kCr:100CE. They would let it get to 10kCr:100CE. The higher that price is, the more people will want to buy from them instead using dollars, meaning the more money they make.

Skipping to the alternatives.

Turning mist into crystal. This would be beyond horrible.

"Fair" is subjective. A vigilante for better prices selling lower which will most likely be taken advantage of by retailers is your definition of "fair". The way this point is worded makes it sound selfish. "I want lower CE prices so I can buy it cheaper. Hurr."

Explain where the tokens come from.

Well i didnt read the whole thing because it was a bit confusing

You only get +100 mist per account if you make the account on a different computer, or maybe even from a different IP. also it is not wrong because i looked it up, and is in not in the EULA or T&C that you can only have 1 acc.
Alt 1: converting mist to CE= infinite money for all. (BAD)
Alt 2: you'd have to convince EVERYONE to sell CE for less, which will never happen. unless you mean OOO makes a fixed exchange rate, which removes the game's economy completely.
Alt 3: What???

Onekone is kind of right. if u have been playing for a year you are at the level where you can gain enough crowns in a day to keep playing. i can run RJP (w/o boss) 5 times without using CE. from that i get ~10k crowns. that is more than enough for 100 more CE. also you could profit from CE trading yourself, just buy and sell CE for free and you will make money.

Yes, I am 5 star.

However, my second character is 3 star, working on 4 star. At the current prices, he can get a 4 star item every 3 days.
I see no problems with that, whatsoever.

Converting mist to crystal energy=Infinite money, which means OOO stops making money, which means no game for you.

Renting 5 star equipment: So, lets say I make a new charactor, rent a full 5* loadout. I can rent it for more than 30 days you say? Ok, ill rent it for 3 months. Oh look! I have gone through the entire mission system! Then my equipment is gone, and I have no more gear. Oh, i'll just rent it again! No need for me to use energy and let OOO make money so I can still play the game! You see where I'm going?

Fixed CE crown price: There are enough threads that I think I'll just let you search them and see why this is a terrible idea.

CE tokens: Free money=bad. I imagine you would've got that in your head by now.

Hacking has nothing to do with this.

There will never be another way to obtain energy other than what exists. Deal with it. I think I'm done here, have a nice day.

Anyway, first off your format: It makes me want to rip off my head, put it back on and rip it off again. Did it ever occur to you that people are spending money on this game because they want to? Wrap your tiny brain around that people spending money on this game isn't forced, but a choice. I don't understand how OOO is greedy, other MMO's do the same thing in a different way, with monthly fee's or premium accounts. Heck, play as much as you want with a $6 Elevator Pass, same thing as a monthly fee, and you'll grind just as hard. No to the rental gear because there would be no point in getting 5* gear permenetly. When you can just pay 24k a month for a 5* set. I don't see the greed in Lug's or Kli's posts, I see two players that worked hard for there stuff. No one can hack this game btw, it's server side. We can't have an infinite supply of CE or the game is finished. I would have this more organized but I'm on my phone at work, and I could not enjoy my lunch because of this post. Please do realize that this suggestion is going to go nowhere. Also you owe me lunch.

The most best ideas i like are: Tokens 10 for 100 CE if rare, and 10 for 10 if common.
You may not like it but at-least it gives people something to gain.

Ideas should also be put into Trials.
That way you can test something to see if it will make any difference.

If you've read any other threads regarding CE, which you probably haven't, you should have known that they aren't taken too kindly around here. Also, "Your are" is not a good way to start anything, "You're" works much better.

You look like a moron for not being able to spell/capitalize/use grammar properly. Also for forgetting that players who are 5* obviously had to traverse the previous starred gaps previously.

Think about how much more painful it would be for all players if CE was easier to get. My last run was a PUG, and I had two 4* players in my party. They were absolutely USELESS. Coming from me, that's pretty bad, because I don't tend to judge too much, regardless of the number of fails. I judge by player conduct if at all. And they SUCKED. They were also chatting about how they were going to buy more CE packs to be able to get to 5*, to which I just facepalmed.

Long story short: Easy to get ce=lotta noobs going out of their depth=mucho pain for all players that have to work with them.

Another point, if CE was any easier to get, why bother playing the game at all? Why not just give us all instant T3 access and 5* gear to let us get the game over and done with?

Because that would be BORING. The fun is in the getting there. Once you get there; Yay, I finnie the game etcetcetc- it gets old real fast the moment that happens.

I've been through the previous Tiers, and I know how hard it is. Also because I kept giving away free things because I was too nice, which added to my troubles. Point is, if it was easy, there would be no point.

Stop acting like you know everything and everyone else is just blind to your 'truths'. That attitude just irritates me.

The CE system should stay the way it is. The only people that incur problems are the ones who either don't buy CE with real money or people who don't have enough CE. If you buy CE with real money, I don't think it's a problem at all.

...my brain is dying with the sheer stupidity that is in this thread.

OOO are not going to give something that costs money for free.
CE prices are the result of the P2Pers who set the price.
I am fairly sure that OOO have stated that the prices will not be set. It is a free market.
I will admit that the prices at times have gotten redonkulous, but that would probably be more to do with the fact that F2Pers are buying up the stuff faster than the P2Pers will sell it. Many F2Pers can afford to pay more, a whole lot more, so the price goes up because the demand is always high. CE is used for unbinding, crafting, purchasing Shadow Keys and assorted other sundries, as well as accessing gates and being ripped off by Kozma's exorbitant kit prices. On the other hand, crowns can't get you much other than some visual modifiers (personal colours, a small variety of eye styles and three heights as well as the Featured Auctions), recipes, overpriced gear, and having Punch troll you.

In addition, you are a complete hypocrite.

Since no one wants to help bring CE Prices down, And help Newbs get Gear sooner.
How about their be a Inbuilt Teaching system to help them, A Alternate one to the current ones that are ingame though.

Alot of New players actually Buying Ce and Just BLOW it like it goes out of proportion.

Reason i said this is i have done the Start of the game about 3 times and 2 of the times were the new way to play the start.
Their is nothing that tells you how to save CE up and how to keep good energy levels without dieing.
That is one reason why their is a Training area in Haven.

Really their should be a place that you start off that tells you about energy, and how to not use it.
Reason being, is that alot of new players are just Ragefully spending Energy.
And that is just on deaths.
Maybe even a Page comes up that tells them what type of gears are good for what.
It walks them through how you survive the the Clock works better.

If you dont like the other idea then the best youd like would have to be the one that tells new players not to die easy and not to spend Actual CE when you die.

People might say it isnt going to work, But atleast it is something that most Smart to understand enough will actually take notice of it.

And i noticed that alot of people actually spend CE on revives, even 5* when all the party are alive except for one guy.

Maybe even gray out the Revive button and have a Message that says "Don't revive whilst someone is alive. They can come and revive you and you don't have to waste energy to revive. The best time to revive is when everyone is down and reviving the person with the lowest cost for reviving."

also to have a timer before allowing people to close it would be good idea because people just close everything that pops up mostly.

Ok, so here's your problem.

Ok, so here's your problem. You started to play about the same time Steam and OOO agreed to play nice. The Steam players brought in so much CE that the prices dropped from 9k to about 4k. The price has risen because of the lack of new players. OOO has started to do promo's. These promo's often drop the price from 8-8.5k to about 7.5k (often dipping into 7.2k range but never for very long).

For those that truly want to be F2P, should only play till their mist is empty, then log off. Or if you don't wanna log off, you can do lockdown. Or you can try to trade items for profit.

Oh and it is possible to convert Mist Energy into Crystal Energy. It isn't fast, nor cheap but it is possible.

Personally I don't want noobs in fsc or LoA that don't know how to use a shield, or how to charge a weapon. Yes, I had that today in FSC. The person said they killed Vana 2 times. My guess was they were carried, just as we had done.

Yes, we've all been there. And its' in OOO's best interest to keep those people in game.

It isn't OOO job to tell the player how to play. If I want to buy 20k CE and blow it in one run CE reviving everyone, then so be it.

There are mission rewards that give out new gear. There are also recipes so you can craft new gear from Missions. Also some missions tell you that having x gear would be best to complete said mission.

I'm not even sure I can correct this. Smart people will know not to hit revive when another player is alive.

Despite you reading this twice, it wasn't clear enough. I know I'm not the best, but I hope I can convey a thought better then this. Personally this sounds as though you are 10 years old and wanting everyone to see your way and change. I could be wrong.
