No I don't The Jempire should
No I don't The Jempire should be banned from the tournament. Rubyeclipse is firm on them not participating to give other guilds a chance. I cant do anything more than that. So dont start this arguing about The Jempire spamming or what not. That's just the end of it. They're not banned but they are not participating. By the way, the tournament is Tier 3 Lockdown and Aegis Team and Fruition, have been entered. Just mail me for more info.

Yes, originally I had spots for sixteen. Before I merged this tournament with Zader, I had plans for a knockout staged tournament. With Zaderules, we decided to have a Round Robin Tournament instead which, I realised could only fit in ten guilds so that it fits in with the dates for the tournament. Anyway congratulations to each team that will be playing and I will be mailing the Guild Masters your fixtures! Thanks!

I'm rather horrified to see people lambasting as unsportsmanlike a guild that's not only stepping aside from the tourney, but also donating the prizes. Vitriolic rants shouldn't be the focus of this thread.
Is there any word on what the prizes will be? How exactly does one go about rewarding an entire team? This sounds like great fun, and kudos to the organizers for putting this together.

3rd August - 12th August
The Spiral Knights Olympic Games 2012 start on 3rd August in Haven 10 with the Opening Ceremony. The Lockdown starts on the same day as well. Other events that are included in the Spiral Knights Olympics include Fashion, Triva, Clockworks and Blast Network. The Lockdown Games will end on 11th August 2012 and each guild will play one game each day. 12th August will hold the Closing Ceremony which will involve prizes being given out to each guild for all events across the SK Olympics.

Rubyeclipse offered to donate the prizes seeing he likes seeing Spiral Knights Community Competitions going on and its a great time seeing that The Olympics are taking place. All the leaders of the guilds participating in this event must mail me in game the names of 10 of their strongest Lockdown Players that will be particpating in this event. With my colleagues for this event, we are producing a rulebook for this event. Please don't be so sure that the matches will be 6v6 because we might make them 5v5 to keep the rules in order. Please try and make it to the Opening Ceremony on Friday 3rd August in Haven 10 and try and bring some confetti as well if you can. The Opening Ceremony Begins at 12pm PST (8pm GMT) and will last for around 45 mins.
We are also accepting applications for people who want to help in this event as game makers. Mail me for more info on that. If you have any queries or concerns contact myself or Zaderules.
