I know there are many posts about lances, but I'm making a specific one on the item itself, the name would be "The Hope Bringer". The stats would be like this at 0 heat:

2 star: piercing damage doing 40-60 damage on enemies not weak to piercing or resistant, 20-30 damage to enemies resistant to piercing, and 70-90 damage to enemies weak to piercing. +10-15 damage with charge attack. Speed: about as fast a brandish. Design: vamplate and shaft a cool steel color, truncheon colored gold with player colored light glowing from out of the open part of the vamplate.

3 star: piercing damage doing 70-80 damage on non weak or resistant enemies, 20-40 damage on resistant enemies, and 70-120 damage to weak enemies. +15-20 damage with charge attack. Speed: same as 2 star version. Design: same as 2 star version only longer truncheon and shaft, light glows brighter.

4 star: piercing damage and elemental damage, piercing doing 80-100 damage, and elemental doing 50-70 damage if enemy is not weak or resistant to both piercing and elemtental damage, the weapon does 30-50 damage vs enemies resistant to both elemental and piercing, and 70-90 vs enemies resistant to one or the other (obviously if you attack a beast, which is weak to piercing but resistant to elemental, it will take damage as if it wasn't weak or resistant to either). the weapon will do a total of 250-300 damage vs enemies weak to both piercing and elemental (no idea which those are, or if there even is one). +20-30 damage with charge. Slight chance of doing medium shock. Speed: the speed of a swift flourish. Design: The shaft and vamplate are now a pristine white, the truncheon is now partly wrapped with black cloth, and has a blue crystal pommel. The light is even brighter, and the weapon itself gives off a slight white glow.

5 star: piercing and elemental damage, piercing doing 150-200 damage, and elemental doing 80-100 damage if enemy is not weak or resistant to either. The damage types are canceled depending on which of these (if any) damage types the enemy is resistant to. If the enemy is weak to one of the damage types, that damage type does an increased 50-60 damage. Good chance of causing medium shock. Speed: slightly faster than the 4 star version. Design: same as 4 star version except the tip is silver, the shaft and staff are longer, the crystal bigger and upon charge, white wings faintly glow on your back, the white glow is slightly brighter.

Attack pattern (for all star ratings):

1st move: a spinning slash towards your right with the lance outward

2nd move: a spin around to the left, which ends with a jab forward

Final move: a powerful thrust forward

Charge attack: a quick, ferocious lunge forward, you thrust at your enemy midair and do some knockback.

Hope you like it!

This again

It has two specialized damage types on the same weapon as a sword.

It has a significant rate of status.

It has spinning in its basic attacks.

The charge attack is a lunge with knockback.

As with every lance/spear attempt, this is overpowered and basically Flourish made overpowered. You took overpower and combined it with more overpower then threw Flourish in the blender with them and made this vomit smoothie.

You forgot how at 5 stars if the enemy is resistant to that damage type, it does 0 damage from that type, also I want tips, not haters who say this post sucks, instead of calling this vomit why not give some ideas on how to balance it hater. :D

he didn't critizise it, he

he didn't critizise it, he called it vomit, in my book that is insulting an idea, not critisizing.

Also THIS weapon does, it's one of my ways of balancing it.

How to differentiate

Insulting the idea would ignore the topic and blindly throw words at you.

Criticizing takes the topic and addresses it, especially what is wrong with it.

This topic is a vomit smoothie because you are proposing something with double overpower and takes parts of the Flourish mechanic then makes them overpowered. If you still think I am insulting it without regarding the content I will urinate on kittens because of how incompetent and ignorant you are being.

"Do the hard part for me"

No.

That would require reworking the entire concept, which I planned to attempt in my own thread. I dropped it because it would either be overpowered or recycle Flourish and/or Troika lines combined. If you were able to do Legion of Almire you would know there is an enemy which uses a spear-esque weapon which functions the exact same as Flourish.
