Heart of Ice

D25

While fighting deilite i charged on "fiendish memo".
Of course while it opened i was killed. After that all buttons on "fiendish memo" stopped working, cant close it, cant read till end, i cant close it and now im stuck in this level and cant do anything.

Also, i cant request GM assistance since my support portal is not working (blank screen bug).

It would not happen if we would still be able to close ANY dialogue by pressing ESC key, as before.

Good i was with my friends, i was released from that 'dialogue prison' only at next depth.

@Blandaxt - what you said is wrong

You don't cause a disconnect with logging off, or pressing Alt-F4, or pressing the close button in windowed mode. That will erase your current progress and return you to Haven when you log back in.

To cause a d/c, you have to kill Spiral Knight's java.exe process directly, using task manager or its equivalent in other operating systems. Once you kill the process you have 15 minutes to get back in. If you are late, you will be returned to Haven as your idle session will be terminated.

But, if the whole party are dead, there is a (IIRC) 3 minutes countdown to revive. You must get back within that limit or you will also be sent back to Haven.

If you are not solo'ing you can use the party menu to revive another party member, and have him/her KEEP LYING DOWN. With that you won't have to deal with the revive timer, and enemies/bugs cannot kill you again, and you will have all the time you need to contact a game master and wait for a response.

@Gianor OOO didnt fix FSC

@Gianor
OOO didnt fix FSC sprite bug. They just moved sprite mother to a place where there are no enemies. No fixing bug, just avoiding its occurence... only in that certain place.
@Blandaxt
When forced reclienting just as you said i came back into same place i was before. Stuck with a fiendish memo.

I had the same problem as you

I had the same problem as you Asu, I was about to open up another thread about this....

I was in the second party button of D25, everyone almost died, so I fell back to the party button. While I was fighting a meddling devilite who had followed me, I accidently clicked the fiendish memo thingy, I died of course, but someone else killed the devilite for me and revived me. Then I was basically locked on the screen, being unable to press 'continue read' and having the ability to revive myself. I tried to force crash (on-purpose d/c) it using Task Manager to see if it had worked. But, only to know that when my alive teammate stepped on the next party button and the Fiendish Memo thingy popped up again. And I was doomed. I was only able to press F2.

Since I couldn't be able to TALK I couldn't ask them for a GM.

They did DO that.

They moved the mother sprite away and put it behind a gate, true, but that also makes the bug impossible to happen fixing it. LOGIC MAN!

"They moved the mother sprite

"They moved the mother sprite away and put it behind a gate, true, but that also makes the bug impossible to happen fixing it. LOGIC MAN!"
ONLY IN THAT ONE PLACE. The bug exist and appears in every other place where there is something to interact with and there are enemies inbound.

Its not "you get stuck with mother sprite and get killed bug" its "you get stuck in every intractable thing and get killed".

Just as you suggested, LOGIC MAN, Mr Gianor!
